I think it would be cheaper in the long run to man up and pay it. Tha'ts 3.5 million up front. Imagine how much money the university will lose over the next 5 years if we keep him. Ten times that or more if the booster money starts to dry up. Athletic contributions falter, ticket sales flounder, merchandise sits on shelves, pizzas go uneaten. I think we have to do something now to save countless millions.

Well, I stayed until the very end of the 4th quarter. I don't know why people are making such a big deal about people "apparently" leaving at halftime. That's the normal time that people go to the bathroom, get another slice of pizza and so forth. Did anyone notice how many fans came back? I'd say that at least 80% of the fans were there for the 4th quarter if not more. There were enough fans to get the wave going around the stadium midway during the 4th quarter. A majority of the fans stuck around till the last few minutes.

Everyone keeps asking the University to buy out the contracts of Callahan and Pederson. Does anyknow actually know how much that might be? Is it simply their salary for the remaining years? What happens if they each grow a pair and they leave on their own, then do they forfeit the remaining money?

Does anyone really know how MUCH it would take to buy them out?

I'm betting that nothing will happen.

The team has given up on this season. They've stopped playing for this coaching staff. They have no heart, no desire, and have no faith in themselves. The season is dead.

It's pretty apparent the players have given up on this team and this coaching staff, I see no reason why the fans shouldn't either. The season is dead. Why waste time, energy, and money on something that has no hope.

He wasn't played to keep padding Keller's record. Keller still has to worry about NFL prospects, and his numbers need to be high. But, Keller is not our future. Joe Ganz is. I think Joe Ganz has some great potential, and when we don't play him in a game like today is stupid. He needs to get more game reps, as he's our man next year.

Looks like the forecast is calling for an increasing chance of rain for this Saturday's game against OSU. Right now, the current forecast calls for a 20 percent chance of rain, but NWS forecasters have upped it to a 30 percent chance of rain with a high around 65. I just spoke with them on the phone. The positive thing is that people might finally realize that our team just isn't that great. In fact, we're not even mediocre in my opinion. Everyone keeps having faith, but there comes a time when we all have to face facts, and the facts are that our defense is horrible, our offense had hopes, but without an offensive line, Keller can't do what he needs to do. Bottom line, this is reality, and our pipe dreams have just exploded in our faces.
