I love cally too and i think next year people will change their tune. bad thing about next year is USC , even though we play them at home they will be preseason number 1 and are very good. i think next years offense will be sick and although we lose carriker and moore our D will be way better and potter and Turner will look better because coz can be more creative and take more chances. with the addition of Bowman, murillo, asante and thenarse on the field we have gone from high school secondary to outstanding college secondary

Well said. they say Will Henry has been awesome in practice with keller and that Brooks has done real well also. Holt is supposed to be very good but can someone please explain why we wasted a year of eligibility with him. He played in maybe half the games and only a play or two at that. I love swift and petersen, but i hope to not see them on the field next year. I think we need to pick our 2 starters and have a 3rd a 4th and a 5th and stop rotating 15 receivers each game. we tried to get so many in the game that we were predictable. when eisenbart was in RUN everyone knew it. I think the real test of our coaching staff comes next year. will they sit players that have been playing for the past few years and play the players that should be in the game or will they go with the seniority rule and send Grixby, swift, petersen, and the rest out again and again

Very good post. If you are a husker fan then you have to love Taylor for what he has done for our program. There can be no fault or blame put on him. He led us to where we are today, which in my opinion, is on the verge of being at the forefront of the national stage. However, for all the things he has done for our program he was not going to lead us over the hump, so to speak. Great teams have QB's that can win games whereas Taylor was asked not to lose them. the Rose Bowl was a great example. Usc couldnt run so they told Booty to go win the game and he did. Taylor simply was not talented enough to win us games by carrying the team. Next year, barring injuries, our Defense will be 100% better and our offense twice as explosive. Look at the games we lost and or struggled in this year. we could run early and then each team said OK no more running if you want to move the ball its going to have to be Taylor. I dont think there was any coincidence with our struggles in the second halves of games. It was because teams decided to make Taylor beat them with his arm which he could not do. That being said Thank You Mr. Taylor for all you have done

Has anyone stopped to think about the following possibility. Maybe Callahan calls the games the way he did because of a lack of talent at QB. While we all love Taylor for what he has done the facts are: He is not a very talented QB. I believe that callahan felt that his hands were tied int he play calling department. If your QB cant make certain throws then you cant call certain routes. All we ever heard was how intelligent Taylor is and i believe it, yet we never heard about his abilities. I believe with Keller next year we will see the offense open up. We will have the ability to get the ball down field and dont forget that Keller has worked day in and day out with Brooks, Henry, and Holt, all of which they say has shined. Also RB, Lucky has another year under his belt and while i love BJax Lucky is more talented and will improve drastically, and dont forget about Wilson. Many say he is the best of the group and by next year he should have a full understanding of the offense. On D, well Grixby/Jones or Bowman/Murillo or Thenarse YOU TELL ME Green/Shanle or (Asante,green,or Thenarse YOU TELL ME Ruud,McKeon,Bradley or a health Octo,Dillard, McKeon or Asante YOU TELL ME

if you would take your blinders off JOE and use the reading skills god gave you you might think differently. The radio last night 1480. they were so shocked they called the big 12 office to see if the Bo Ruud thing was a misprint. they then went on for at least 30 minutes about the deal. Making fun of it. a reporter was on too and said"this gives all reporters ammunition against the coaches that insisted on voting. They wanted to vote because we as reporters didnt watch enough film. well this just goes to show that coaches didnt watch that much film either." There were 4 guests on that all said the same thing Ruud isnt even the best LB on the team he isnt even the best WILL LB on the team. I have to agree with the consensus, Name and Name alone got him there. Congrats to Zac, Adam, and Dane they deserve this its just too bad that the whole thing has turned into a mockery. When Shanle makes any list it turns an award into a disgrace.

touchdown tommie you are making my point for me. you cant hold their hand. they cant make the plays. so whos responsibility is it to put players on the field that can make plays If your telling me Culbert or Thenarse cant do any better than Shanle then we have major problems coming. If we as a team didnt recruit players that are good enough then we are in trouble.

The point of this is not to beat a dead horse. Read it thoroughly and you will see. We all know the players mentioned have their deficiencies. This was about the coaches. You cant teach an old dog new tricks just like you cant expect any miracles from the aforementioned players. What it states is dont blame the players its the coaches fault for putting continuing to put the same players in the same positions where they cannot succeed

we have several players that would have chased him down. It happened to be Ruud. Big deal, thats not a great play. Go back and rewatch the game and focus on Ruud. See how many times he just watches the TE run by then chases him. See how many times he can't get off a block only to have to chase the play. Then watch Octo. see how many times he sheds the block and is at the point of impact. See how many times the TE crosses with Octo right on his butt. The one positive was that when the game was on the line Octo was in and Ruud was on the pine

Those of you that back the coaches by stating things such as "its the players not making plays" "how is that the coaches fault" Who makes the decision to play the players that are playing? UH the coaches it would be one thing if it was a mishap here or there. In this case however it is the same players every game. Shanle - every game there is multiple screw ups you mean to tell me RT or MC cant do as good. Jones/grixby - Grixby getting a little better while Jones is going backwards. again RT or Young cant do just as good plus gets them experienc Ruud - Is ok but everytime Octo in the game a play is made. He is now healthy so there should be no discussion. The coaches may not be the one making the plays but they sure as hell are the ones putting the same crappy players on the field

Winning out should be a major priority for us. It gives us a major boost going into next year. Therefore, if Coz continues to put ruud and shanle on the field in front of Octo and culbert/thenarse i am going to have an aneurism. If he does this then it says to me that he is not trying to win. You win by playing the best players regardless of age. If you say thenarse or culbert is not better than shanle then i will question his recruiting. PLAY THE BEST PLAYERS IT IS OWED TO THE TEAM AND THE FANS

THIS IS MY (LANDONHUSKER) FIRST POST. My cousin Husker 95 is on here being a goofball under my account. While i dont like the continuance of the second half trend, you cant complain about a win Lucky was very good and our Defense save 3 plays was above average. Octavien took over for Ruud in crucial series and made plays he needs to stay in the game permanently Jones has become worse than Grixby and while i rode Grixby a long time he has improved while Jones is struggling. We need to fix the second half mess Kickoffs were spectacular cody was a horse mo pure a player Octo our Best defender My only complaint is Shanle AWFUL It is time for Thenarse Thenarse picks off the option pass Shanle gets beat recovers doesnt ever look for ball and over runs the play he also plain missed a tackle on the long run by the RB We Won North Champs Great day plus i got a deer by 7 am does it really get any better

RUUD SHANLE AND JONES need alot of work if we have a chance against UT we have alot of work to do in order to be competative in that game! use CU to get things ready for that.... lets get things in order! lets get things restored. im still a coz hater and i always will. say waht you want about him ruud shanle and jones but tonight grixby looked better than jones and thats sad!

we have a lot of work to do still.... we caught some breaks there at the end.... not scoreing untill that drive means we need to be more aggressive in the second half.... we have had alot of trouble scoring in the second half and that needs fixed..... lets use the CU game in fixing these problems and get things ready for UT
