Good 4pm kick off in Alaska. I can spend all day hunting and then come home for some football...........

Was just listening to the Finebaum show. Nic Saban felt part of the reason they lost was that the fan base never considered LSU as a factor and was only concerned with Auburn. He felt with the internet and media availability the kids hear the talk the fan concerns and seem to buy into it no matter what the coaches say.

 

Thought that was interesting coming from Saban.

 

I think we play Kansas next, with Coach Saban's coments I will only concern myself with Kansas and after them the next team on the list.

I'm flying down from Alaska for this game, and yes it would be dissapointing not to see Martinez play, but if Lee is healthy I would rather see him and save Martinez for the stretch run, as well as a rest for some other players if we can put this team away. But I don't expect Gills team to roll over and die either.

Not sure I agree with Dammon. I dont think its a case of TOP as mentioned earlier, I believe if there is a fatigue issue then it is probably more related to the type of offenses we have faced. The speed at which OSU, MU and ISU ran their offense is probably the biggest factor. And its November and players start to hit the wall, especially true freshman.

I think team speed is a neutralizer...in a bowl game. Yes, the speedy SEC does well in Championship games vs. Big 10(tOSU). That's just one game with a lot of preparation. Week in and week out, size will be a factor. Now, if we can maintain some quality speedy depth, that could neutralize getting pounded on week in and week out. The lines will have to be deep and coached well in regards to leverage. You can use one's mass against them if proper leverage and technique are used. Depth will be critical to run the gauntlet that is the 2011 schedule.

And what do you do to defenses with great team speed??? You run it right at them. We may be fast but have you seen Univ of Wisconsins O-line, TE's, FB's, and IB's???

Were fast this year but that doesn't equate to good run "D" as we've seen.

Bo's SEC defensive philosphy will not work.

Look at Callahan and Cosgrove, both shared the Big 10 philopshy, big, bigger, and biggest. Didn't work in the Big 12 but they learned it from the Big 10 because that's whats needed.

I knew the chances of getting UT tickets would prove to difficult and expensive so I am glad I picked the KU game as the game I was going to this year. I have so much respect for Turner Gill that I wanted to be at the only conference game between him and the Huskers. It will be a special night. And hopefully we hang 50 on him.

I believe I saw a statistic that it's cheaper to imprison someone for life than it is to go through with execution. Based on that fact (plus the wrongful conviction issue) I oppose the death penalty.

 

Lock 'em up. Throw away the key. Save the taxpayers some money and actually punish someone (jail for life vs. relatively painless death.)

 

I know if I were convicted with the choice between the two I'd choose death. No contest.

I had the same experience back in the day when I attended a game in Ames. It was like being surrounded by the cast of Delieverance.

Alot of things I saw against ISU concerned me. But just ask OU and MU about going on the road in Nov and winning against unranked teams.

Not being ready, no this team is ready. At least from the preparation side. I doubt there is a coaching staff that works harder game planning and scheming their players to be in the best postions. There are games though that I think they come out flat and dont execute fully the mental side of the game. But that is not because of them not being ready.

Well I'm probably only spending $3,500 to go to this game.

when ever I am work I mute the TV and listen on Huskers.com but they are 2-3 plays behind, but I would rather listen to Sharpe call a long touchdown or exciting play then Ron Franklin or mushmouth
