  1. I don't think we can do it just because its a tradition. For instance i don't know how many times I've heard ESPN refer to them as the Black Skirts. So it is something that defenitily needs to be earned. I have always liked that it was announced at the beginning of the year, but I don't think they can do that till they preform better. I would really hate to see us not improve enough for them to be given out because that would be just like doing away with it completly.

  2. I loved seeing how coach P was jumping around and really showing some fire last weekend. I really think that can funnel down to the players. College football is such and emotional sport, maybe just maybe that little fire can help our defense start showing some improvement week to week and we can get just a whiff of the blackshirt d that we come to expect.

  3. I can honestly say that I didn't like the game last night, obviously. However, I think some people are blaming the defense and not even mentioning the offense. The offense was simply horrific in the second half. It looked like they were scared of all of the blitzing and stunts that UCLA threw there way. I can honestly say that I'm tired of people saying that they can't watch them anymore and they are tired of being "let down". I don't like to see players saying that the other team "wanted it more", but I'm also not going to turn my back on a bunch of boys, everyone needs to remember that they are still boys, playing for the best college football team in my opinion. I will continue to support them even if they would go 1-10 this year. I'm a Husker fan, it's what I do. I HATED Callahan, but I would still be supporting the Huskers to this day if he was still the coach. If you are a true fan......suck it up and watch and support the Huskers in every single game this year! If you choose to "take a break" then please don't come back when we are dominating people every single week again!

    amen brother

  4. When they showed the remaining schedule for UCLA on the tv last night they have alot of very winnable games. But before UCLA gets to excited it will be interesting to follow them to see how all them young guys handle a hostile road crowd. They seemed to be very athletic and physical last night. I'm pulling for them in the Pac 12 so this lose doesn't look so bad come November.

  5. I was disappointed as well, but not really surprised. This game really exposed our lack of talent on defense. I was shocked at how much more physical they were then us. I didn't think Taylor play that bad. He was put into some tough situtations, credit there punter for some of that. However our play calling in those situations were just embarrasing. They were pinning their ears back the whole game and rushing the sh#t out of us, but we were to stupid to do any thing to slow down the blitz. We could have ran screens every series, but I don't recall running any. Then we totally panic and refuse to run the ball. Frustating lose but not totally surprising.

  6. I think it should be the other way around. If you kick the ball out of the end zone or they elect to down it the kicking team should be rewarded by the ball being placed on the fifteen. This way it rewards teams with a strong legged kicker. But I hope this gets voted down its fine the way it is

  7. There is a camera on each coach the whole game. And then as soon as the producer sees Bo having a tirade they switch it to that camera. Fair or not that's why it seems like they only show him when he's blowing up.

So then my question to you is...how come we didn't see Washington's D coordinator throwing a sh*t fit during the Washington game?

  8. One major issue I have with Bo on the sidelines is how he throws his arms up in disgust when a call goes against us. Whether the call was right or wrong this makes him look like a fool in my opinion and shows up the refs more then yelling at them.

  9. Thanks caveman that's kind of what was getting at. I'm not saying Dylan is wrong for the most part I agree with him it just seems its becoming a reaccuring problem that we are not getting enough people in the game to get some experience. Plus it seems like guys are seeing the field when they are sophomores then as they progress to juniors and seniors never see the field

  10. My question to you is what position has depth. I am very concerned because we have a lot of guys that will be graduating after next season at lb te rb . I feel pretty good about the oline and secondary since we were awfully young there this year. We had chances to play our young rbs this year but we didn't do that. I don't know what to think at receiver I think there is talent but a lot of inconsistentcy. If 2012 is anything like this year were we didn't get enough 2's and 3's on the field 2013 might be even more frustrating

  11. I'm sorry for any confusion. I wasn't saying we were better off with Callahan then Bo. What I was eluding to is the lack of depth and experience at almost every position. To me that is as entirely on Bo. I think our 1's are as good as most teams. But we all know that that isn't good enough to win championships.

  12. This is good stuff, I would have never guessed that the numbers were so close. However star ratings are just that ratings. It is how they are developed in the next five years, and that seems to be the major issue to me. I always thought Bo was waybetter at player develpment, but the last two seasons i'm not sure that is the case.
