  1. Pelini dropping two major contributors from the team in two years (Glenn and Castille) we think that it is great because we have a NO NONSENSE coach that won't back down on the rules that he set forth when he took over the program....

Three major contributors if you include Witt. (Remember, we only heard one side of that story). If Bo is going to keep running players off he had better pick up the pace in recruiting.

Witt left on his own. He wasn't dismissed. You're in a different ball park on that one.

  2. Last year I thought Q had way too many fumbles during the season and cringed everytime I saw him get a carry. When Helu went down and he had to play a lot against Clemson I thought all was lost. However, as we all know, he turned in an awesome performance and I, like most everyone else, was excited to see if he would be able to build on that and make big strides this year. That he is now off the team is disappointing (to say the least) but I have faith in Bo that he did the right thing. The program can't be undermined by the players, ever. It's as simple as that.

  3. As big of Husker fans as there are on this board, and I am one of the biggest, I'm curious to know if anyone else has EVER heard of Ahman Green running a time like that? There are maybe a handful of players in the entire league that can run a 4.25 40 yard dash. I'll keep my BS flag out and continue to wave it in your face thank you! I also edited my earlier post to show that I was only flagging the 4.25, not the track meet thing.

  4. Even Ahman never came close to a 4.25 while at Nebraska.

that's because then they ran on the turf, now they run on a track. He ran sub 4.25 in the NFL, and would have the 100 m state record by more than .4 if not for wind aid.

    and THIS :bs: !!!!!

  5. Fastest 40-Yard Dash Times Ever

Tags: 40, yard, dash, times, ever, world record, speed, best, forty, run, NFL, NBA, MLB, basketball, baseball, Lebron James, Reggie Bush, Ted Ginn, Devin Hester

These are some of the fastest 40-yard dash times we could discover. Most of these athletes are football players (unless otherwise noted), b/c they have official times recorded at combines. If you hear anymore official (or semi-official, since there is no real world record), add them to the list:

    Ted Ginn Jr. (4.06)

    Alexander Wright (4.09)

    Michael Bennett (4.13)

    Bo Jackson (4.14)

    DeAngelo Hall (4.15)

    Darrell Green (4.15)

    Lavernaues Coles (4.16)

Deion Sanders (4.17) - and MLB

    Maurice Greene (4.21) - track

    Joey Galloway (4.18)

    Ahman Green (4.19)

    Laveranues Coles (4.2)

    Don Beebe (4.21)

    Donte Stallworth (4.22)

    Ryan Dotson (4.24)

    Michael Vick (4.25)

    I'm throwing this :bs:

  6. Not getting my hopes up for this guy, he's got a real impressive set of offers.

I think 1 WR from Louisiana should be enough for this class.....

Seriously? That sounds a bit shortsided (and that's being nice) to me.

  7. Keeston Terry....dont let the door hit you on the way out. If you aren't bleeding husker red we didn't want you in the first place. Can't wait for our Husker D to destroy you and you pathetic team in the future.

THAT might be a little over the top but I agree in principle. If a guy de-commits and goes to an opponent I hope we get to rub it in that he made the wrong choice EVERY TIME WE PLAY HIS TEAM (ahem, Josh Freeman).

  8. I have to be honest, having watched film on this kid I can't help but think that he really could be one of our all time great players if he comes here. His ability just jumps out at you. I usually scoff when people say this guy is going to be better than Tommie or that guy will be better than Rozier. However, I can't help but think this kid is destined for greatness no matter where he ends up playing. I just hope it's here!

  9. I just cant see this staff letting the players go that far into a sleep walk mode that would allow the sun belt teams to win. The last staff sure, we saw it repeatedly.

As to the speed question, FAU might have a few players that are really fast. But, not the whole team. The talent level is lower. NU still suffers a bit from that "Northern Slow Team" stigma. If speed wasnt an issue VS Clemson, it wont be vs any sun belt team.

Oh but it was an issue, and clearly Nebraska was WAY slower than Clemson cuz them thar telebox annunsers sad so... :dumdum

Back to the thread: If FAU wants to keep it close then they need to not turn the ball over and bring their A++++ game on every snap and hope that Nebraska loses 5-6 turnovers and sleep walks through the game.

No disrespect intended to the one or two Owls fans who are lurking on this board, but you guys are looking at an almost certain loss.

I concur with Jen here. We should and will win this game going away. If it's close, hey, it happens. We were a much better team than Colorado last year and had to get a superhuman kick to win the game at the end. ANYTHING can happen (Iowa State 92'... cough cough). Will it? Hell to the NO! We should win this going away by at least 24 pts.

  10. It's for the benefit of the student athlete. If the rule were less strict some would use it to take advantage of the athletes. More kids would end up taking extra benefits and such. It sucks that the side effects are that we can't be all gung ho as fans with prospective recruits, but the alternative is worse.

  11. I wonder why this thread is so confusing in making me wonder why you wonder what you think it is you may have said, even though what you don't think you meant is really what you probably shouldn't have not done or tried to ponder in the first place.

  12. This guy is a DT if he comes here. He is 6'0, a height Bo seems to like for DTs and he has the quickness being a RB. So bring him in, beef him up, teach the techs and footwork, he could be a very good DT with leverage you can't teach.

I'd be shocked if he plays DT here.
