  1. War Eagle !!!! Not pretty but we'll take the win. Glad for no major injuries. Guys, I'm normally one to NEVER complain about any game situations, but I swear, if not for your BIG 10 refs the game would not have even been close. Your OL was blatantly holding on EVERY play. I'm talking about hooking and jersey pulling with the refs looking right at it. But the classic was when we had #44 Tate in on an off tackle run, and our right tackle Palmer absolutely pancakes your #2 defender, and we get called for holding. Absolutely unbelievable. I saw a post by a Husker fan complaining that you guys made no adjustments in the 2nd half. I have to call BS on that. Our D totally shut you down in the 2nd half. But we've done that all year. Here's to hoping we meet again soon on an even bigger stage. Happy New Year to everyone.
  2. I have no doubt that you guys will show up to play. We've had similar problems with GA / Ark games. From what I've read, Tuberville is determined to take care of business this year, and has been pretty strict on our guys. One big negative for us is the early game. Our players can't seem to wake up before noon, so we may be in trouble there. At least our starting RB (Irons) is 100%. If our OL can block anybody, Irons is tough to handle. If you guys stop our run, then our passing game can be great or it can suck. Boy do I sound confident Oh yeah, I AM glad that OSU beat the bammerneck mulletheads WDE and Go Huskers !!!
  3. Hi again Husker fans. After watching OSU beat Bama yesterday, I was wondering what you guys thought about OSU. I know you lost to them in the regular season. Was that a fluke, just a bad day for NU, or is OSU that good ? Bama played a good game but they are not a top-tier SEC team anymore.
  4. I cannot pull for the enemy. GO OKLAHOMA STATE ..... whup the mullets
  5. Thanks skersfan, Yep I got a kick out of that. I've been an AU fan since 1961 and lived through all the "Bear" years. To answer your question, we are at least 2 deep at EVERY position, with almost no drop-off in talent. And IMO we have one of the best strength and conditioning coaches around (Yox) so fatigue is not an issue. Coach Tubberville has done an incredible job with our program. It is the best I have ever seen it, seriously. In the past we may have a good year and then be totally mediocre for 5 years. Old timers like me got used to 3 and outs. That's why AU fans are so jacked on our program now. Last year's Capital One bowl was a disaster. Wisconsin's "big ole boys" tossed us around like gnats. Same with Arksansas this year. The Georgia game to me was an anomoly, we should have won that game and were still in it at the start of the 2nd half even though we were down. Our biggest problem this year has been inconsistent play. For the first time I can ever remember, Coach Tubbs got pizzed during the Florida game, and at halftime challenged the defense to step it up, and you know the result. If our guys on defense stay at home and do their jobs I think we will be OK. The only player I worry about is #21 LB Dede. He is consistently out of position and overrunning plays. And for some reason they love to put him at starting MLB. So if he is in there, tell Callahan to run it up the middle all day long. On our plus side, RB Kenny Irons and QB Brandon Cox are both 100% after battling injuries all year. The Huskers are a more than worthy opponent and all AU fans are excited about this matchup. My gut instinct is this could be a high-scoring affair. You guys have some beasts on defense and I know your offense is darn good. Hope we show up and make a great game of it.
  6. Glad to know that you guys understand the real state of SEC football This was one of the best Iron Bowl games I've ever seen (2005) http://youtube.com/watch?v=8__wRjx89Uc
  7. There is legislation before the Alabama state senate to have the state offically renamed AUBURN, since we are now the dominant football program here We have to deal with moeron bama fans on a daily basis. Trust me when I say you do not want another school
  8. I think LSU's front line may have been pretty strong.... Yep, LSU ain't no slouch. That had to be the most violent brutal hard-hitting college football game I had ever witnessed. If the AU defense that played that game (and 2nd half of FL) decides to show up, ohhh boy. Of course, if we start out like sleepy babies then NU will bust our chops before we can wake up.
  9. On the other side of this topic, our OL stacks up like this: LT - Dunlap 6'8" 315 jr LG - Grubbs 6'3" 301 sr C - Cope 6' 276 sr or Bosley 6'4" 280 so RG - Duckworth 6'3" 310 jr RT - Palmer 6'5" 325 sr or Hart 6'5" 300 jr TE - Trott 6'5" 250 rfr or McKenzie 6'4" 252 rfr (lost our best TE Bennet to broken ankle early in season) How do we stack up against your DL ? Our starting center Cope is smallish but an absolute bull.
  10. Geez Louise, you mean size matters LOL. Hello from a longtime AU fan. Don't let the weight issue of our defense fool ya. These guys are pretty fast and swarm to the ball. As a matter of fact, your numbers on your OL are actually smaller than most of the ones we've played this year. Our biggest problem this season has been inconsistent play. Hope the real Auburn team shows up. I have enjoyed watching the Huskers play over the years (except when you guys beat us ) and have a great deal of respect for Coach Callahan. He definitely has you guys moving in the right direction. I know Coach Tubbs just suspended three of our starters, but should you guys win, that is no excuse, you will have gotten us at full strength. Kenny Irons (RB) and Brandon Cox (QB) are both 100% for the first time since the LSU game. WDE !!!
