  1. In our defense........that "one guy" does not belong to Husker Nation......Never the less.......thanks for the support....and I'll be cheering on the Horns as well You dont have to defend him. I understand every single board has em, even Longhornnation and Hornfans. I am impressed with how fast he was dealt with though...
  2. I agree completely the Big 10+1 is overrated...imo anyway...I hope Florida kills them just like they did in basketball yesterday...And yeah the Aggies have some weird traditions...this was caught in the middle of the A&M Tech game on TV...even the announcers were speechless... The sheep was added in after the fact using photo shop...Aggies are referred to as Sheep Lovers by some... About other team's fans. I always try and treat other teams fans with a lot of respect because I have been to Texas games outside of Austin. Texas - OU in Dallas, Texas- Texas A&M in College Station, Texas Okie Light in Stillwater, Texas - Michigan in Pasadena, Texas - LSU in Dallas, and Texas - Arkansas in Dallas...So I have been there and if I want people to not say a bunch of horrible crap to me then I cant do it to other people either...

  4. Auburn cant score points to save their life...Look at the LSU - Auburn game. They rely on their defense to win games...so to beat them I think the best plan would be to minimize turnovers that lead to points or a short field for the Tigers...If the huskers play a mistake free or nearly mistake free game I think they win this. My prediction: Nebraska 17 Auburn 13
  5. I just wanted to say that for the most part (one poster excluded) your responses to my thread have confirmed everything that I have heard about Husker fans. From friends who made the trip to Lincoln this last year and people who have posted on hornfans and now on this board, Nebraska does have some of the best fans in college football. Just wanted to let yall know. Merry Christmas and beat the crap outta Bama Aggy (Auburn)...
  6. The option style offense is still alive but it is now more off a zone read option look that teams are running with the QB in the shotgun and the RB next to him. The QB then has the option to keep it himself, give it to the back, or throw it. Hell, the Titans are even running it to an extent with Vince Young as their QB...
  7. Well I am going with a friend of mine who is an aggie and a friend of mine who is a red raider, not sure yet who is taking the 4th...I thought it would be interesting if we all showed up in our colors and cheered for the Huskers, which is what we all will be doing... Thats cool to hear - you sir are a quality college football fan, and we appreciate that round here. Thanks...First and foremost I am a longhorn fan, always have been, always will be...but I am also a huge college football fan and I will go to any game if it is remotely cheap and not that far of a drive. This year alone I have been to 4 TCU home games, 1 SMU home game, 2 Texas home games, and I will be in attendance at the Armed Forces Bowl tomorrow and I will be in attendance at the Cotton Bowl...And I will almost always cheer for the Big 12 over any other conference. The only times i wont is when the Big 12 team is Oklahoma or if that Big 12 team's loss helps Texas... and no i take no offense to the comments that the now-banned poster made...every board has em...yall are actually some of the fastest to ban someone like that... Hook Em Horns on Jan 1...Hook Em Huskers...
  8. Well I am going with a friend of mine who is an aggie and a friend of mine who is a red raider, not sure yet who is taking the 4th...I thought it would be interesting if we all showed up in our colors and cheered for the Huskers, which is what we all will be doing...
  9. That I am not exactly sure about. This is the first game at the Cotton Bowl that I will have gone to that I am of drinking age. I do know that tailgating and drinking is allowed for the Texas-OU game so I would assume the same policy is in place for the Cotton Bowl game.
  10. Big 12 vs. the SEC...Im taking the Big 12 any day...unless its BlowU in which case I hope they lose by 50...but yeah im going for the Big 12 in all bowls except the Fiesta...
  11. Yeah, apparently you missed Desmond Howards comments. He gave a complete game analysis for texas playing cal in the holiday bowl, and said if he could only watch one bowl game that's the one he wanted to watch. He apparently didn't read papers or do any research to know who was actually playing. I was just poking fun at his ignorance. Gig 'em Huskers. ...and yeah that feels a little weird to say. Yeah i guess i did miss that...lol...and yeah Hook 'em Huskers feels weird to... o and beat the crap outta those hippie bastards from Berkley...
  12. Texas A&M will be in the Holiday bowl. Not Tulsa (TU). Tulsa plays in the Armed Forces Bowl in Ft. Worth, Texas tomorrow night. Texas plays Iowa in the Alamo bowl...
  13. I have lived in the DFW area since 1988 and have attended 3 Cotton Bowls as well as 2 Texas-OU games. Parking is a nightmare around the stadium. If you are going, plan to get there early. I live in Arlington, which is about 45 minutes to an hour away from the stadium and I plan on leaving my house at 7 am. There will be traffic in and around the stadium and it usually takes us til 8:30 or 9:00 to park. If you do not have a parking pass i would very strongly recommend using DART's (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) shuttle to the game. The only parking, outside of official parking, are lots owned by people living in the neighborhood. The fair park side of Dallas is not the nicest part of town (to put it nicely) and I would not recommend you parking your car in one of these lots. You can find info on the DART shuttle here: http://www.dart.org/cottonbowl.asp?zeon=DARTHomePage Hope everyone has safe travels to Dallas and enjoys their time in Texas... From a Longhorn Fan who will be in attendance cheering for the Huskers Hook Em Huskers
  14. If you have not gotten tickets yet I would recommend ebay. I bought 4 upper level tickets and a parking pass for a total of $35.
  15. Since I live in the Dallas area and cant go to the Alamo Bowl, I picked up 4 cheap tickets to the cotton bowl and will be decked in burnt orange cheering for the Huskers. From reading other message boards I do not think I will be the only one doing that either. Hook Em Huskers...
