    That is revisionist history.

Jerry Tagge, Vince Ferragamo and Dave Humm all went to the NFL in the 70's. Tagge didn't last long but Ferragamo lead the Rams to the Superbowl in 79 and Dave Humm was a back up for 11 years. Those guys weren't just another running back and we weren't running an option offense until the 80's.

Having a running QB was when we won.

Yeah, bringing in Simms shows me something and it's not good.

Almost every Husker fan wants a QB that can run the ball.  Husker football was built on having a QB that is another running back.  That's what every fan wants to see.

Sims can run the ball and can pass maybe about as good as Tommy Frazer given some O-Line protection, but we find he just can't provide ball security.  I can imagine Rhule was given a set of criteria to fulfill in building a new team that may have precluded him from his best pick at QB.

Plus - What great good QB would risk his career on a dumpster fire like the recent Nebraska mess?  I don't have a meaningful YouTube Husker game to watch where NU wins that isn't dang near 30-years old.....

I will not say Matt Rhule Sucks.  I hope Jeff Sims learns to protect the ball.  I want some new wins on YouTube.................

  3. Based on Frost's accomplishments before Nebraska, I see this as a Nebraska problem.  This program has been without direction for over 20 years now, something is just wrong in Lincoln.  Why would any great Coach now risk their career coming to Nebraska?  How will a future Head Coach recruit to Lincoln?

Just the facts Ma'am.......Please use facts to tell me I'm wrong.

He is heading to a firing. Overmatched. Won't bench Taco boy. Can't recruit offensive lineman. He will end back with Chip Kelly at his chosen school anyways.

"TACO BOY?"  I hope the Administrators bench you.

I was critical of Frost early on in his tenure for running clock to get to the next period when we had plenty of time to try to go get points on the board.  Guess what he did last night?  Precisely that.  It was an idiotic strategy that didn't work out 4 years ago and it's still an idiot strategy that doesn't work out.

If you think you see an improvement it's because the defense has improved.   Credit to Chinander there, not so much Frost.

We have people who catch the ball and make yards after the catch.  Improvement.

AM is getting the ball to receivers even without a great Oline.  Man can that kid scramble when the pocket collapses!  Improvement.

We have people running to the ball or following the running back to block.  We used to see people stop running.  Improvement.

The Oline is playing below par, but much, much better than before.  We are moving the ball on the ground and in the air.  Last night we made some holes.   Improvement.

I saw guys playing their hearts out and playing to the final whistle.  Big Frigging improvement.

You go ahead and support condemning / firing Frost.  We'll be worse off than before.  Support Frost, he is improving the Husker Brand.

Remember Dude.  Frost started with NU being the "Kansas" or "Kansas State" of the Big 10.  How long did it take to turn K-State around in the old Big 8 or Big 12 days?

If he has made improvements, why does the team continue to lose in the most mind-boggling ways?  It's been that way for 3 1/2 seasons. That's on him, I don't think he has a way to fix that.

If you can't see improvements, go ahead and ask for his head.  Put us back at square one.  If not for special teams errors - we need changes and improvement there - notably the 7 yard punt and the punt left when coverage was for right - we get a different outcome.  Right now we look better than we have for many years - have some faith that Frost keeps improving.

You Debbie Downers really should think before you post this stuff - "mind-boggling ways?"  You really think we are where we were 3 1/2 seasons ago"?

  7. Our depth is too thin.  I see our D performance drop off in the third quarter - conditioning or depth?  We need some more horses to shuttle in and out of the game.  That will take another year or two of recruiting.

The last two games I've seen a coaching bonus not seen for years.  These coaches took guys previously without heart and had them following the ball all game long.  They didn't quit mid play.

  8. I looked back several pages but this appears to not have been reported.  So might check this out before games start or be left in the cold.

I received an email from Big Ten Network two days ago stating that in many markets Xfinity was dropping the network.  I called Xfinity and confirmed that in the Portland, OR market, Xfinity is dropping their contract.  Shame on Xfinity........

This turned out great for me.  I kept Xfinity internet and phone, but dropped their TV package.  I'm getting my TV via internet streaming and saved a whole bunch of cash.  Maybe Xfinity and the BIG will resolve their problems before games start, but in any event, I found myself much better off.

    GBR!

Taylor was one tough SOB, and TA had the heart of a lion.  Can't bring myself to choose one.

Taylor was Rocky Balboa - the O-line let so many guys get to him every game - he had to be physically beat up, but Taylor kept getting up time and again trying to make something.  Imagine him with a good O-line!  Imagine him without C.

Probably the toughest player, with the best "can do" attitude I've seen at Nebraska.  Even though his teams didn't produce championships, in my book he earned his right to stand with the most elite of players ever to wear the N.
