I live in Portland. On my home this evening, the Oregon Head Coach had a quote on radio news that Scott Frost was NEVER contacted by NU.

I about drove off the road...................

I didn't see many jabs at Bo personally, he just couldn't teach football fundamentals and elevate the team to win big games. He just couldn't make it at the highest levels. Doesn't mean he is a bad guy, he just couldn't perform. I didn't like his sideline behavior at all - and if you did - maybe it says something about your personality.

Get over it - you lost - not a thing you can do now besides criticize the process to find a replacement and whine....

No doubt after watching this that he already has his guy.

I wouldn't look at Frost until he coaches the Ducks without Mariota. Great players like him make offenses look really good. Ducks have so much team speed that I would like to see what Frost can do with out at least the QB. Florida is looking to make a splash.

 

Mora Jr, Tressel, Briles or Patterson. Maybe Gundy, but with the money available in Stilwater, why would anyone leave that cash cow.

Excellent point regarding Mariota - he is amazing. He does have the ability to carry a team. This is only Frost's second year as an OC, I would think he needs and / or wants a year or two more running the Duck offense before he negotiates for a new position.

While we are throwing out HC ideas....Minter for DC or DB coach? He is doing well at Cambell University, obvious Husker great and great job in the NFL (screwed on no Pro Bowls IMO).

Wow - that would do a lot to bring back the Nebraska Heritage - Minter was great and respected by all~

 

I learned that Bo is 5-19 against top 25 teams at Nebraska. One game short of a 20% winning percentage.

Wow. I didnt know that. That cannot be explained away. It HAS to be him losing coaching battles. Assuming we have top 30 talent, it means he's losing the coaching battle more than the other team is just faster/ better.

How many of the 19 losses turned out to be blow-outs where we did an embarrassing, National TV melt down?

How many times do we lose outside containment before a coach steps in to change the coverage? Play after play after play the last two weeks we take an inside motion and totally get out of position to defend the corners.........

People on the West Coast know who Pelini is and what his behavior is like. The guy is perceived as being a jerk. What Mother would let her kid play for this guy - he is out of control. Nebraska's Brand has taken a huge hit over the last 7 seasons. Wonder why we are having difficulty recruiting? It is funny, but a lot of people remember the A & M game..............

I think it is worth a discussion. He co especially with a good pedigree and is the offensive coordinator of the best offense in the nation. Who would you get that is better ANDROID would actually co email here?? Saban ain't walking through that door.

 

I like Scott Frost a lot - but - he has an amazing, one of a kind QB that seems to always make the right decision and bring out the best in everyone on the team AND Coaches too - we don't have that guy nor have we had somebody like that since T Tommy. Give him some time to season.

I am very afraid they will shut down our running game like Sparty did.

We listened to the game last Sat night via Sat Radio while driving home from Montana to Idaho via Lolo Pass. Only exciting thing was deer in the ditches.....and the deer executed better than our O-line.............I watched the tape when we got home - OMG we played two steps behind that defense every down - the O-line couldn't figure out their assignments and we didn't/couldn't get any time or space to open up lanes for our RB's..our tight ends and receivers didn't protect on the corners or options...wow...I'd have to say we were Shut Down, Blown Out until Sparty quit.

Darn it, I am so sad it has come to this.

If College Football is about what you have done lately, then something Bo did not more than six quarters of football ago would still be relevant, right?

Worst thing is I really don't think anyone cares what happens in this game. That's what I am getting from people I have talked to.

I find it interesting that this is coming from national media vs local media.

Not aimed at GratefulRed specifically - You guys back home just don't get it. People outside of Nebraska see Pelini as a joke and a hot head - Nebraska as a brand has been damaged. Call your friends outside of Nebraska and ask them what the barbershop discussions or water cooler talk says. A lot of folks on this board have been ignoring "National" implications of keeping Bo around all year long or rather all years long. Happy Holidays!
