  1. He's a 3 for 3? That's even better! I hope he had a good visit. We need at least 2 more OL.

Someone help me out on this. It looks like he was originally Class of 2010 which means he's three years out of high school. However, his JUCO roster says he's only in his first year. However, a 247 article says he has two years left. Can someone fill me in?

I believe he moved home for a couple years to help out his sick father

  2. It makes me nervous when the word "lock" is used as that is what we thought with Q. Russell and Bradley among others in this class....

No one is ever a lock until they put pen to paper despite what people on message boards think our say

  3. Why is everyone worried:

    1. No proven starters on the line for next year

    2. No proven backups on the line for next year

    3. Very little depth next year

    4. We will not be switching to the 3-4. We may run some (and very little IMO) next year, but when has Bo ever exclusively run that formation?

You mentioned 6 names in your post. 1 left the team, 1 has experience, but has failed to show much, 1 played as a true frosh and already got hurt, 1 is a red shirt frosh and the other 2 haven't shown much to the coaches or they would've played more this year.

  4. What was Tariq's injury? Was it the ACL or was that Wullenwaber who tore his ACL?

Allen's knee was completely destroyed on the cheapshot he took on that kickoff against Michigan. Every ligament was torn.

    And Wullenwaber was an ACL

Wonder how long Allen will be out then. I feel bad for the guy.

    He'll miss spring practice.

  5. May be the best explanation I've seen and makes sense based on Pelini's defensive scheme:

It comes down to this. Wisconsin figured out that Stafford and Smith were responsible for safety help over the top with our corners. Basically, our corners play to jump the short routes, knowing they have help up top if there is a double move. That's fine, it's actually worked all season for us. But here's what bit us, they also found out our safeties were responsible for contain on the jet-sweep, or responsible for the cut back on zone reads or the counter. It is impossible for our safeties to get enough depth to help with the deep ball, but also be the help needed to either contain the sweep or stop the cutback. So another way to explain this is, the jet sweep happens so fast, that if the safety is going to help on contain, he needs to be flying up as soon as he sees that jet motion coming through. Easy enough right? But as soon as Wisconsin would have seen us do that, all they would have to do is double move, throw it deep and it would have been a TD. So the reason the poor angles were happening is because even though they would see jet motion, they needed to get depth to help the corner, whhen they knew the ball was handed off, they were already playing catch up. Also, our front seven are not responsible to fly out on this motion, basically our front seven is supposed to run it down from behind while they know the safety will be there to turn the play back to the inside. The reason our front seven don't fly out is because Wisconsin has shown that they would fake the jet sweep and run power inside.

Against Penn St, you remember all of the announcers saying that once the Nittany Lions widened their DEs, Wisky couldn't do anything. Our DEs NEVER play contain. It was up to our safeties to play contain AND have deep half of the field. Quite honestly, just like the UCLA game when Whaley or Compton was supposed to guard the running back out of the back field in the slot, an NFL safety couldn't get this done against Wisconsin, and an NFL LB couldn't get what we asked Whaley or Compton to get done against the Bruins. The good news is, this is fixable. The bad news is, will it be fixed? So many ways you can fix it, but again, will it be done?

  6. They better figure these polls out before going to a playoff system or that system will fail as well. Florida State loses a good game to Florida and drops 7 spots in the coaches poll. UCLA and Oregon State both lose big and don't drop. Boise State beats a terrible Colorado State team and jumps 7 spots? Ridiculous.

  7. Got a buddy that can get me employee pricing at Sprint, but I'm not sure what phone to get. I'm looking at either the Samsung S3 or the new LG Optimus G. This will be my first smartphone (yeah I've got to be the last person in the world to get one), so I'm not sure which brands are best. Is it worth the wait for the LG or should I just go for the Samsung?

  8. No problem. :)

The Trappists are a sort of group of monasteries. I think there are six in Belgium and one in the Netherlands that still brew beer for the profit of the monasteries. So there are seven "brands" total.

In Lincoln, you can even get a couple of them at HyVee, and The Still carries a few of them.

HyVee has this one, in particular:

This is the best beer I've ever had. This is Chimay blue; there's also Chimay red. Incredible stuff, and very expensive. It's like beer champagne, I suppose.

    Chimay is excellent.

I really like St. Bernardus ABT 12. If you like Chimay you would probably like it too. (Probably already said that somewhere in this thread . . .)

This stuff is pretty good too although Chimay is my favorite.
