I say I have no idea what happened to the defense, but that's Bo's forte so if there's a side of the ball that should be easiest to fix, it's there.
That's my concern. We've played 5 games and have yet to show any improvement on D. Same mistakes are being made and the coaches can't seem to fix it.
-
My biggest concern right now is that the defense has not gotten any better since the start of the season. The DL is still missing opportunities, the LBs are still over pursuing and missing gaps and the DBs are still biting on play action and double moves. Nothing has been corrected or fixed and that is on the coaches. I understand we are young, but nothing is getting any better. I hate losing, but could stomach it better if we show improvement.

Burkhead must really be hurt cause we abandoned the run game. Come on Beck, don't get fancy.

Do we really have no one else besides Fisher and Thorell? Fisher is killing me tonight.

That dime position makes my eyes burn.

Hey....at least the offense is doing it to this week too and starting A-rod again.
C'mon da skers.....tell me you're kidding!
He's not joking.................Choi is sitting according to the depth chart. Makes no sense............
Pelini doesn't like depth charts except to give them to the media to dissect, so I expect to see Choi out there quite a bit. Plus, this is a road game in a hostile environment. Sometimes it's better to start the guy with more experience until things settle down.

Be a good sport and take the knee. I can't believe this is even being discussed.

I'd like to know how Thorrell sees the field. He hasn't done much besides miss assignments. Is there no one better?
Take your pick: Blatchford, Green, Thorrell.....
I'll take Green over Thorrell and maybe even over Evans.

After that hit I was waiting for Ed Cunningham to pipe up

Someone needs to light a fire under the D's ass. I think they've heard how good they are all off season that they bought into it. Also, let's not forget that we're breaking in 2 new coaches and that may be leading to some issues as the coaches themselves adjust to the scheme.

Come on guys, the logistics are simple:
Freson St beat North Dakota who beat South Dakota in 2009 who beat Minnesota in 2010 who beat Iowa in 2010 who beat Michigan in 2010 who beat Notre Dame in 2011 who beat Utah in 2010 who beat BYU in 2010 who beat Wyoming in 2010.
Therefore, we beat Wyoming this Saturday.
-
That when we're up by 20 with 10 minutes left the coaches call the game like it's already over. Had a chance to finish the game and the coaches blew it.

Reminds me of 2008

Thanks Men. See yall around the Stadium on Saturday!
Those directions from The Maudfather sound like they get you to Omaha, not Lincoln,
From what I gathered to go to Lincoln, take I-29 to St. Joe, take 36 HWY west to Hiawatha (there's road construction on 36 west of there) take 73 north to Falls City, then take 75 to NE City, then 2 west to Lincoln.
I've heard two different accounts of the construction on 36, one bad and one said no big deal. KDOT says it is working on two bridges and traffic is down to one lane on each bridge so you are likely to have to wait some. How long that is, I have no idea.
If 75 is that bad, you could take I-70 to Manhattan and take 77 north to Lincoln, though there is construction on 70 too. I've never come in from the south on 77 so I don't have any idea how game day traffic will be. Though I think you said you were coming up earlier so that may not matter.
Hope this helps.
I'd be tempted to take 75 to 136 to Ne-50 to Ne-2. Maudfather's way is the best to Omaha.

I hated the long commercial breaks. Could just be me, and I was fortunate enough to be at the game, but between series it seemed the TV guy was standing on the field forever.

Okay, I like Tmart and all but this is a stupid thing to say on many levels:
"I think as a team right now we're not really striving for a Big Ten championship, we're striving for a national championship," Martinez said. "If we accomplish the national championship, everything else will fall into place."
Besides the locker room fodder and the setting of ridiculously high expectations, I want to know - what else can possibly fall in place, AFTER you win the natl title? That doesn't even make sense. Like, he will find himself fulfilled as a human being, or what?
I guess how you come down on this depends on how big a Kool-Aid drinker you are. After last year, I am going to refrain from imbibing. The last couple seasons have cost me too many years of my life.
