The entire Iowa team. They did nothing against a mediocre Nebraska team.
What does that say about Iowa if NU is medicore. You were schooled.

I heard he is high on NU.

80 scollies and we dont have a legit QB.
-
It is an article that calls out Bo Pelni. This is not some local hack that has an agenda. This is national publication that says Bo is not getting ir done!
-
NU is staring another 4 loss season right between the eyes. That is what solid top 40 teams achieve.
I am hoping we can back to 1 and 2 loss seasons. NU is a long away.

excuses are like a holes. looks like everyone has one.
-
based on Bama's kicking game, we match up well against every team except LSU and Wisconsin. That makes us the 3 rd best team in the nation.
I will take that any day.
-
Nice, but we have to beat now. GBR
35 to 21
NU wins.......

PSU just looks like even bigger tools than early this week. Who thought that was even possible?
-
I just wish we could get inside Lauren's head. Did she call the police because she is a genuinely honest person or because her tire blew out?
So she isn't getting kicked off the team?
-
i predict half the recruits/commits will re-open their recruitment process.

sign this right now.

They did the right thing. McQueary is next.
-
He knowingly let a child predator run a program for children using his facilities for 15 years.
No, he should not be coaching.
He needs to gtfo. It sure appears that Sandusky has been allowed to molest children for a long time.
McQueary needs to go too. That dude didn't bum rush Sandusky in the shower. Go sell cars McQueary, ypur career in
football is over too.
McQueary was 30 years younger than Sandusky and much stronger. Why didn't he stop it!!!

NU is in a no win situation. If they win, it is because of the scandal. If they lose, it's because Bo didnt have them prepared.

Taylor sliding or running out of bounds did not lose this football game. Taylor played a great game. Our defense and offensive line lost this football game.
it was total team loss. 2 big turnovers heading to score is not on the D. even though Taylor played well, he is still on the ball too much on zone reads.
the D go a bunchnof turnovers. 2 pics, 1 fumble recovery on a NW pitch. The O couldn't convert those into points.

He needs to kick her off the team. She is being prosecuted as a felon. If this happened to any other player they would be dismissed.
Sorry but leaving the scene of an injury accident is not something to be taken lightly. Take into account the driving record and suspended license and you have a huge mess.
Shouting wake the hell up is not enough in this case.
How could someone who is one of the best volleyball players in the country, fail at the little things in life, like stopping when you run people over.
She has put her dad in a rough spot. Time for some tough love dad!

too hard to post to quotes on an ipad.
The recruitment of QB's by Bo is his downfall. The list of QB's he has brought in hasn't worked out too well.
Approx 80 scollies and only one can play the position at this level.

I am referring to when both Saban and Miles were at their first head coaching gigs, Michigan State and Oklahoma state. The point that I was trying to make is that I don't think comparing the first 4 years of Bo Pelini, Nick Saban and Les Miles doesn't really proves anything.
As far as the second part of your post, I completely agree. It's a bad situation. I am just expressing my frustration that we don't have better talent at the QB position. I sincerely hope that Beck gets his guy. When I look at the last 4 years of QB recruiting, I am a little disappointed at the sort of luck we have had.
Quarterback and offensive line have just been crazy around here the last several years. Odd transfers, players quitting, behavior issues, etc. It's frustrating without question. I, similar to you, hope things pan out better than they have. It's just really tough for me to be too critical right now because we have a new OC who, in my humble opinion, has looked better in year one than Watson did in his three years as OC. The Northwestern and Wisconsin games were hiccups, but I've seen a lot more consistency from this group than in year's past.
Now that I understand your first part, I somewhat agree but also disagree with what you're saying. OSU and MSU are not the caliber of Nebraska, however Bo did take over a group of guys who were not his own and had been part of one of the worst Husker teams in history. I think all three had somewhat similar albeit different hurdles to overcome in their first four years as coaches. That said, I can see why it's a little unfair to be comparing all three.
Just realized I had a double-negative in my post . I agree that it is tough to be too critical with the sort of luck that we have had and this being the first year of the Beck regime. When I look over our QBs of the last 4 recruiting classes, I am so disappointed. We took:
2008- Kody Spano
2009- Taylor Martinez (as an athlete that many felt would project as a safety or WR on the collegiate level) and Cody Green
2010- Brion Carnes
2011- Jamal Turner (I wonder if the staff always thought that he would play WR) and Bubba Starling (took a huge gamble here and it didn't work out...we knew what we were getting into recruiting this kid)
In the future classes, I would like to see us go after 2 QBs per class, but wonder if that will happen.
-
if i remember right Carnes was one of the last to sign his letter on signing day and was a big surpirse. He was going to Western Kentucky and on signing day ended up signing with us. Colter was already signed and committed to NW so Carnes had nothing to do with Colter coming here or not.
This is a copy if Husker Bruin's post around Dec 2009 in the Colter recruiting thread. The kid was slowed played and took his best offer since NU never offered him. Bell would've got him N with an offer.
In case there was any doubt, the following quote from Colter (via Rivals) clarifies that NU has narrowed their QB wish list to (in no particular order) Carnes, Colter and Godfrey, and that NU has not offered a scholarship to any of them yet.
"I met Coach Watson in my coach's office for a while on Thursday," Colter said. "We had a good, long conversation. I heard what I wanted to hear. He said, right now, they haven't offered a scholarship to a quarterback but are trying to move quickly. They're looking at three quarterbacks - me, a kid from Florida and other guy. He's going to sit down with coach (Bo) Pelini and let me know where things stand soon."
Sounds like the staff is currently evaluating these three QBs.

I thought it was Bell and Marlowe on the KR team. I didnt see Abdullah on the KR team.
-
We lost because of two turnovers well into Wildcat territory (one of them right at the goal line) and non-existent defensive play. Play calling was in infinitesimally tiny part of why we lost today.
No one is talking about it but NW had a bunch of turnovers too and overcame them. I think the
2 missed opportunities was the difference but it was a poor performance on many levels.

This game reminds me of the ISU game a couple years ago. Several turnovers in the opposition red zone and NU lost to
a team they should've blown out. Total meltdown occurs until NU gets its next win.
I will be waiting for our game at Happy Valley this weekend.
If we get some help from Iowa we can still have a great year with a very young team.
Which bowl game will we go to?

Boobie P is an idiot. Arkansas is the 3rd best team in the nation. If NU get to play them it will be huge for NU.
