Cannot handle positive momentum....

Thanks Ferentz!!!!

And all along there was a DT at Lincoln SE who excelled in the classroom, but "didn't fit" our scheme......

I think Chip going to Florida can only help Frost's decision to leave UCF. It's going to be quite a bit tougher to recruit the state of Florida when the state school has your former boss, who will be running a similar offense with similar skill players. I know UCF doesn't directly compete with Florida, but I do think this does poke a hole in Dirky's "build a national power" at UCF theory.

Let's get to 777 pages and then lock it up....Frost couldn't say no to that kind of karma!

Do think there's any correlation between owning a Prius and having the softest o-line in the Big Ten?

Dan Mullen (Mississippi State) or Gary Patterson (if we hire TCU's AD)

Keep in mind last season we started Howell/King/Engelken as our opening weekend starters, so a lot can change by the time conference play begins. It takes time for everyone's roles to be defined within the rotation/bullpen.
-
couldn't believe when read the pitching rotation for this weekend, 1. Waldron 2. Tillotson-Colorado Player of the year last year 3. BEN FLIPPING MILLER!!!!!!! 4. Jake Meyers.
1-2 and 4 are understandable but you're telling me BEN MILLER is one of the four best we have got!!!!
youre telling me any of Burkamper, Mcsteen, Engelken, or Eddins. NONE of them are better or have improved enough to pass up BEN MILLER!!!
maybe I'm blowing this way out of proportion, but my lord i feel like we have to have better than this.
Couple things to help you feel better:
1. Meyers isn't pitching until Sunday so that he can play CF in the first 3 games. Can't have him in the outfield throwing right after he has pitched.
2. The forecast is calling for rain Saturday, so Erstad lined up his top 2 remaining starting pitchers (knowing Burkamper can't start/Meyers pitches Sunday) for tomorrow's double-header. IF they play game 3 on Saturday, I'm sure we're going to see Johnny All-Staff eat up those innings. Miller is just the first reliever who will start the game on the mound.

Gotta perform on the field AND in the classroom.

This pretty much confirms who our suspended starter is....

Nick Gregath (ESPN 1480 2:00-4:00) does a really good job here in Lincoln. He's much more knowledgeable and level-headed compared to the 93.7 gang.
Severe has been pretty good lately, especially when Joe Ganz has been co-hosting.

Didn't recruiting analysts gush over Bill Callahan's hiring, too?
As much as it pains me to say, they were right. Callahan's recruiting was stellar.
That's my point. Yes, Callahan was a good recruiter, but that didn't translate into a successful coaching career in Lincoln. I hope to God Riley fares much better!

Let's connect the dots.....
So, we have a former sports media person (inside N connections?), who now works for a casino (relays info to Vegas sportsbook of his employer's parent company), which has now taken down prop bet, after listing Frost as a heavy favorite = JACKPOT!!!! Tressel HC, Frost OC and we are all so happy with this that we don't mind losing our prop bets!!! God, I love this!!!!

I'm leaning toward Mullen now. IF the announcement is expected within next 36 hours, then that eliminates Frost. No freaking way Frost is announced prior to the Pac 12 Championship game. He wouldn't do that to his players at Oregon.

I've only met Eichorst once, but I fully back the media's assessment that SE is a measured and calculated person. He comes across as someone who thinks five steps ahead of present moment. It would not surprise me one bit that SE has done a complete evaluation of the football program, starting at the end of the Iowa game last year. And, along with that evaluation, he has concluded whom he thinks is the right person to take Nebraska to the next level, while also curing the dysfuction that has plagued the football program. Who knows which coach he picked, and if that pick will be successful, but there is no doubt in my mind that he has had his mind made up for quite some time. I know alot of us are still scarred from the Pedersen/Callahan hiring debacle. Give this guy a chance, and appreciate that he wants Nebraska to be great again. There is no Plan B to worry about, because Plan A is a done deal.

Remember what i posted Yesterday in the pelini getting another job thread. Man, does seem surreal-or spmethin-now.
You know what scares me the most?
Looking back now without my RosyRed blinders on, and seeing what's going on and this apparent sh**ty culture and so on, I have this really sh**ty feeling that at some point in the future, near or far, we're gonna look back on these seven years and say, without a doubt, that Bo did more damage to this program than Callahan and Pedersen did. Does anyone else have this eery feeling?
And I defended the guy till nearly the bitter end. But it was for what I thought was the best for the PROGRAM, at the time. Last year after the Iowa game when I assumed he was gone, I was ready for a fresh start then. When it was said he was coming back, I jumped back on. Spent the offseason defending him in the same arguments over and over. Using the same 9wins bullsh#t and ridiculous propaganda that I laugh at now, for the sake of blind support of the program. Then I swiftly got a stiff kick to the balls with the Michigan St game and gradually started losing hope. Wisconsin was the final dagger. It was the final twist of that dagger. I can stand here now and admit I was wrong. I have no problem with that, even though it shouldnt be about being right and wrong. It should be about support for the PROGRAM, not a coach. And what I see from some who are still fighting the good fight with Bo is probably not support for Bo, but rather a strong unwillingness to admit to being wrong after sticking by to the bitter end. And like I said, it shouldnt be about that. It should be about support of the PROGRAM regardless of the coach. I'll probably wanna bitch slap the first person the pulls the "i told you so card" the first time our new coach loses a game.
Then yesterday, the tweets from the players, even thought the emotional state is understandable, the direction of their anger is just very concerning to me. The culture that has been established in that lockeroom is flat out scary to me.
Thoughts?
Well said, and I think this example is only the tip of the iceberg. The football program is/was one dysfunctional family.

GOLD!!!

I've done the math, and I conclude that Mullen is coming to Nebraska, and Tressel is taking over at Mississippi State. Why else would he be ringing a bell today?!
-
Can someone please photoshop Eichorst's face over the dude giving Tressel the cash?!

What did Frost see on tape that said we should exploit the edges? Seems like it's been 2nd and 16 all day
