  1. WOULD SOMEBODY TELL THE RECEIVERS TO STOP DROPPING THE GOD DAMNED BALL!
  2. Disagree completely. Our WRs are making keller look bad. No, Keller looks like sh#t. He's making poor decisions, and nothing is happening. Yes, the receivers suck, too, but he's just not playing at the level of his reputation.
  3. Alright, 2 minute offense. Get in that f'ing end zone.
  4. If something doesn't give, we're going to get embarrassed here today. Their trickery, end-arounds, and general physicality are just killing our D. And it ain't like anyone is doing anything on offense.
  5. We need a BIG spark on D here. Turnover, something. God knows our offense thinks we're still playing Nevada. Someone needs to step up out there. Everyone looks completely mediocre, and if we can't survive Wake Forest, God only knows what's going to happen next week.
  6. Not a single god damn f'ing first down. NOT ONE! HOLY sh#t!
  7. If we don't get something going here soon, this isn't going to be pretty. That QB has no pressure, is rolling out of the pocket for touchdown throws or 8 yard scampers almost every play. Jesus this is ridiculous. BLACKSHIRTS, GET IN THE GAME!
  8. Ah, and just when I thought the Nebraska team who showed up periodically last season was retired, here they are. Great coverage guys. Yeah, you're all over in that backfield. That QB is nailing you like a bunch of cheap hookers.
  9. Where is Castille? Get his big ass in and smash that line. If Lucky is going to puss out, get someone who can stay on his feet.
  10. Psychologically we need to break them and break them now. They're weak after having all those breaks and still no TD to show for it. Drive it down the field, smash their defense up front, and then plow it in for 6. Get the crowd out of the game for the moment, kill their spirit. Advance, advance, always ADVANCE!
  11. Just checking in here, but what the HELL IS GOING ON!!!! Man, everyone needs to get their sh#t together on the field or it's going to be a long day.
  12. I'll drink to that. And USC (and Wake Forest) must be razed to the ground.
  13. With the stunning play of Louisville and Texas the past couple weeks I don't see any reason if we kick SC in the ass that we shouldn't land near or around the top five. If we beat SC by a good margin we'd better end up in the top 5. But...if we win all our games this season, I'm sure these things will just work themselves out naturally. And USC must be razed to the ground.
  14. "I told them [recruits and their parents] I was going to be here. Now, the proof is in the pudding that I want to be at Nebraska. This is where I want to finish my career. I said that the first day I came here and I’m reiterating it here.” -Bill Callahan Link Issue solved? And USC must be razed to the ground.
  15. I've been saying it for months. A powerful team is first destroyed from within. Mark May's headlines, though I hate the bastard, do more good than harm for us. Let them believe their own fantasy season. Let them think that they can name their score against us. When they step into Lincoln, it's going to be a war, a blitzkrieg. 85,000 fans are going to scream themselves to death just to interrupt the most basic audible. USC is going to be beat this season, it is only a matter of time. And I look forward to watching it. And USC must be razed to the ground.
  16. This is another hopelessly old topic. Here's what it burns down to, and there should not be any more posts after mine because as far as I'm concerned, this is the best we can do as a community. Bill Callahan has said, repeatedly, until he's blue in the face, that he likes where he's at, he likes the community, he loves the job and the players, and he has no intention of leaving even if the opportunity presents itself. The man is 51, has a family, is making nice, steady money, and is surrounded by the greatest fanbase in the football world. As far as I'm concerned, Nebraska is the top. Now for all you out there who want to be privy to suspicion and general cynicism, that's your perogative. But the best we can do is go by what the man himself says. He wants to be where he's at. He's not glancing at the clock or edging towards the door. And he's no spring chicken. He'll be 56 years old by the time his contract extension runs out. Yes, there's some years left, but if you and your family are comortable, you love what you do, and are successful at it, what more can you ask out of life? Just my opinion, but please, I just don't know if I could weather another 6 page thread on a dead and usnolvable issue. And USC must be razed to the ground.
  17. do us all a favor and go play in the street during oncoming traffic pleasefirecallahan.com is a waste of time, resources, and brain power. It is now completely obsolete, as it has no chance of removing Callahan from Nebraska football. He's our coach now and likely until he retires. Either get behind him or let the rest of us celebrate his coming success in peace. And USC must be razed to the ground.
  18. Take a look at Wake's stats from the BC game. Knowledge is power, and this guy is obviously a know-nothing. If you can't amass rushing yards in the double digits in the frockin' ACC team, you've got a problem. But don't let a moron get to you. If he knew anything he would know that Wake will be lucky to make it back to the locker room alive after this one. And USC must be razed to the ground.
  19. Steinkuhler is "day-to-day" Husker coach Bill Callahan said Monday during the Big 12 Coaches Teleconference that sophomore defensive tackle Ty Steinkuhler is "day-to-day." He would not expand on that. "Like I said, he's day-to-day," Callahan said when asked if it might take him out of the Wake Forest game. Asked if Steinkuhler had avoided a major injury that might keep him out substantial time, Callahan said, "Like I said, he's just day-to-day right now." Apparently, he's day-to-day. Steinkuhler went down less than five minutes into Saturday's opener against Nevada with a knee injury and did not return to play. Callahan had more to say about the return this week of receiver Maurice Purify and tight end Hunter Teafatiller. Both were suspended for the Nevada game for off-the-field issues. "Both those guys are team guys. I think they really have learned from their incidents that have occurred," Callahan said. "I know they feel a great deal of remorse. The game that they missed hurt 'em badly. I'm sure they want to get back and prove themselves all over again, to their teammates and to themselves as well." Asked if Purify would start against Wake, Callahan said, "we'll see." "From the very beginning, we told him he'd have to come back and earn his spot. How close is he to being back? He's had a tremendous training camp, so I think he's improved himself with time and experience... He's a guy that's pretty focused. We would anticipate him playing at the level we expect him to be, and of course, he has higher expectations than we do." I asked Callahan about running back Cody Glenn, and if a healthy and fully-practiced Glenn was still the No. 2 I-back. Callahan's answer: "It was great to get Cody back on the field again, just to get him a taste of competition again. I think he was yearning for that ... He's going to be instrumental down the stretch here, there's no doubt about it. He's going to factor in as one of our marque backs. "We're going to need everybody. Just like a year ago, I think we were all talking about how we were going to use our backs, then of course this year, we said we didn't have any backs. Then we come out of the game the other day and we have all these backs again." Also, Callahan said he was surprised at the gaudy statistics Nebraska put up against Nevada. "You know what? If you would have told me that was going to happen, I would have told you you were crazy," Callahan said. "I never thought in a million years that we would have had the numbers that we had. I was kind of astounded afterwards that the numbers were that high. It didn't feel like that during the course of the game. "Link And USC must be razed to the ground. Get better Ty!
