  1. Disclaimer: This is honest question, I don't claim this to be the case.

Double Disclaimer: I am not calling for either of these coaches heads.

I think of the two positions that have had the most trouble with the three legitimate opponents we have played. Arguably these positions are Quarterback, and Wide Receiver. Then I think of the two coaches the stayed on from the Callahan staff. These coaches are Shawn Watson, and Ted Gilmore. They happen to coach the Quarterbacks, and the Wide receivers. I don't know much about either of these coaches or their coaching style, which is why I want all you all's insight, so I wonder. Is this a coincidence? Or is there something to it?

  2. NO one should be booing.

A couple years ago we would have assumed this one to be a loss...

I hope we have a GREENer field to start the second half...

And that Nebraska puts SHEF on the FIELD more...

Hopefully the offense with SUHprise us and score a lot...

Haha I needed that. Makes the second half slightly less scary.

  3. if we end up losing this game (and i think we will), this is soley on the coaches. they have not prepared the team to play today.

Agreed, our offense looks especially lethargic.

I disagree. It was soley the players fault on the lateral pass.

You are right that was the entirely the players fault, and you can't blame any game soley on the coaches, however the offense just doesn't look well prepared at all.

  4. I see similarities here. OK, let me explain before you jump on me. Would '09 UF win the head-to-head? Definitely. Probably by a couple scores. That said, I think it is a useful analogy based on how Florida has played thus far.

2001 Nebraska was very highly touted in the preseason, ranked 4th in the AP poll. Their schedule was pretty soft for the most part, and it was very tough to tell how great they really were, although everyone just assumed they were indeed great. Their first big test was against a very overrated Notre Dame team (ranked 17th at the time, finished 5-6), and they won 27-10 giving the fan base a lot of false confidence and making Crouch the Heisman front-runner. They also beat Oklahoma, their most impressive win of the season, by playing a smart game and using a brilliant trick play. However, they turned out to have plenty of flaws, and got handled by CU and Miami to end the season in a terrible fashion.

2009 Florida was very, VERY highly touted in the preseason, ranked 1st in every poll known to man. Their early schedule has been pretty soft, and their only win against a ranked team has been against an extremely overrated LSU team (that should have lost to Miss. St.). Tebow is being handed the Heisman by default, despite having done very little to deserve even being mentioned as a candidate. Fan base is full of false confidence as everyone still worships Tebow and thinks the win at Death Valley was a great feat. Even though they play in the very good SEC, they don't have to play Alabama (at least in the regular season), the only other legit top 15 team in the conference, IMO.

Now, Florida does have the clear advantage of WAY more talent on defense and a much better offensive playcaller than '01 NU. But I still think the similarities are worth noting, and I think Florida will end up with two losses (one being Arkansas, USC or possibly even Georgia or FSU, and the other being to Bama in the CCG). They then probably slip into a BCS at-large spot because of the Tebow factor, but hopefully slip to the Cotton.

The similarity is okay, but you run into trouble when you reveal how biased you are by saying "but hopefully slip to the Cotton."

  5. On the front page of Huskers Illustrated there is a teaser that says that Robinson is a front runner for the backup spot at running back. Does anyone have any more info? I would like for him to keep his redshirt, but I'd rather win now.

  6. i dont feel any guilt about multiple voting. consider a game situation...

its 4th and goal, and the home crowd is rocking. the offensive line cant hear the snap count, and jump offsides. you could argue that the crowd determined the outcome of a game. all we're doing is working towards getting one of our favorite players some national attention. just because its not within the confines of the 60 minutes on a saturday, doesnt mean our duty as fans is done!

I don't have with voting multiple times, (I have done it), but I do have a problem with having an automatic vote ticker thing.
