  1. Well, sent an email to Huskers.com eagerly anticipating a swift and helpful answer as to the availability of the video...I have pasted their response below so that all may be enlightened by it:

    The following response is provided:

    Ryan,

That video is not currently available on HuskersNside or Huskers.com.

Thanks for the e-mail and Go Big Red!

  2. Great video.....maybe info on the Gator Bowl web page?...... What was the "song" or "music" playing during the video....does anyone remember.

I've got it on my video camera...I'll have to rewatch it again tonight, and see if Shazam can identify...

As for Bo's speech....yeah, that gave me chills. There is no way anyone could be in that room and not bust the doors down to get on the field! Awesome.

  3. I know some folks were at the Pep rally with me in Jacksonville...they showed an awesome video a couple times...anyone seen this anywhere else, or know where to get it?

What a great time it was down in Jax.

BTW, anybody else sit in section 138? How about the Crown Royal Touchdown Club? Great game (for excitement anyway), great venue, great experience!

    Go Big Red!

  4. I don't know about you guys but I'm getting sick of all the media saying the Big 12 teams have no defenses and that is why some of the teams will lose their bowl games. What makes the SEC defenses so much better? I know, they don't have to play the offenses of Texas, Mizzouri, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech (just to name a few) every week. All they are doing is looking at are the stats which I pay a lot of attention to also, but this time they're wrong. Why don't these guys understand that? :bang

Heck, you should try living down here in Alabama listening to the SEC homerism. I've already gotten into arguments with my mother in law about the NC game...they seem incapable of listening to reason. Its "SEC is great, everyone else is terrible"...holy moly!! You wanna talk about banging your head against the wall!!!!!!

    Go Big Red!!

  5. Wow. They have apparently done some in depth research into each and every team and their rosters and schedules for next year. How high is this radar we keep flying under?? Anyway, can't wait to prove jokers like this wrong next year...starting Jan 1st.

    Go Big Red!

  6. Great info Killer Cacti...My parents live in Fountain Inn, and lived in Greenville before me being born. They moved to Nebraska in the 70's...so, I heard my whole life about how Clemson and NU played only one time, and Clemson won...blah blah blah. A lot of the stuff you posted, I did not know though. Good Stuff.

  7. We are staying at Country Inn and Suites....booked our rooms about 10 days ago. I called to add a room last week, and the guy said they were sold out, and so was everywhere close. He said that the rates were screwed up on the website, and most everyone got them at about half price ($80/night)

Waiting on our tickets to arrive from NE (I live in Alabama) but we are sitting in section 138, row "N"...is that the perfect row or what?

  8. For me it was a move from Nebraska to Georgia. Yeah the Husker nation is everywhere. See alot of people with Husker stuff. Especially on Saturdays. Pisses these hillbilly pupdawgs off!!!!!!

    :bonez:woo:restore

ha....The good thing is, I've got most of the family looking forward to Husker Games on Saturdays, along with Bama Games. Working on converting as we speak.

    Go Big Red!!

  9. Bamafan,

Having moved from Nebraska to Alabama and marrying into a Bama crazed family, I know exactly what you are talking about. There are a lot of similarities. Of course there are high expectations, just like the Snake said. Anyway, great post!

BeachBuffs, Do you live in the Mobile area? I passed a vehicle that was "Buffed Out" the other day. Might have been you.

On a side note, does anyone else living elsewhere notice how many Husker fans are roaming around this country? My wife and I see people all over Mobile with Husker tags or stickers. Its amazing. I've made a scene many times when I've seen someone with Nebraska gear or vehicle stuff....I actually had an experience like the ESPN commercial when I was trying to get my license plate. I tried several different combos, but settled for UNL FAN. The size of our fanbase really is amazing.

Go Big Red and Roll Tide!

PS...I'll look for a link, but if you've ever seen or experienced the bama crowd singing about "We just beat the hell outta you...." its awesome. Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer Give 'em Hell Alabama!!

I live in Baldwin County, so that sort of puts me in the Mobile area, I live in Gulf Shores, AL.

Yeah, man....I live in West Mobile. Just across the bay from ya! Got a buddy from Gothenburg, NE in Gulf Shores. Good Deal.

  11. Its about the feeling you get in your stomach when the Tunnel Walk begins to play and 80,000 Red clad fans rise and begin to clap in unison and then begin to cheer, "GO BIG RED."

Anyone else get goosebumps? I did. There is no feeling like gameday in Lincoln. Also, when you hear the pregame prayer....wow. Let's get this back!

    Go Big Red!!!!

  12. LP was probably one of the 3 best I-backs we ever had. He was a troubled kid to say the least, but still a great football player. TO thought it was better for him to be in the team environment, that this was a way to help him find the right path to his future. Unfortunately it didn't work-out and I'm sure that TO feels some sense of failure for the way things have turned out for LP.

Cally is a whole different deal. There is nothing to be gained for either the Nebraska football program or coach Callahan if TO retains his services.

    ...T_O_B

    :yeah

Two completely different circumstances. Callahan was in a position to help himself by embracing Husker Nation and our traditions. He refused. Phillips actually did everything required of him while still in Lincoln. That's why he was able to play against Florida. Unfortunately, soon after he slipped back into his old ways, and has been stuck ever since. Osborne will do the right thing for Husker Nation as a whole. This is not about helping someone get their life in order. This is about getting Husker Nation back in order. Callahan will be just fine...and filthy rich. He will be a successful OC in the NFL soon.

  14. I believe what the Quarterbacks are saying about Callahan. They are the ones that Callahan actually interacts with during a game. I seriously don't know of or don't remember seeing Callahan talk to a defensive player during a game. He is too busy getting ready for the next offensive series.

I haven't been to a Callahan coached game, as I moved to Alabama shortly before he was announced as coach, so maybe its different that what you see on TV, as far as his interaction with all the players?

I really believe Callahan could run an offense in the NFL. And, be very successful. I just don't think he can run an entire team of program at the college or NFL level. I wonder what fond memories or personal interaction Bo Ruud can recall. Or Zac Bowman?

I wish this entire staff luck as they move on, but make no mistake, they need to move on. I can't wait for TO to announce the next head coach at the University of Nebraska!!

    GO BIG RED!!!!!

  15. Osborne states in the interview, talked to three recruits about academic support, tradition, and facilities.

Can talk to recruits as long as coaches have not -- total once a week by staff.

Probably a slip of the tongue, but when talking about how the walk-on program might change Osborne stated "That will depend on the new coaching staff".

I'm sure he didn't mean to let the cat out of the bag. However we all know Billy C is gone at the end of the year anyway. TO's slip just confrims Husker Nation's thought's. :)

Does everyone really think that Dr. Tom made an error? Or, could this master (doctor) of psychology have slipped everyone a little reassurance? If he just messed up, fine. But, I kinda think he knew exactly what he was doing. He knows everyone (including potential candidates) are waiting and looking for something to happen...now, they have a good idea what will happen. Maybe I'm crazy? But, Coach knew exactly what we all wanted to hear. Anybody with me?

  16. "He's a great prospect, he's going to be an excellent player," Callahan said. "In the last two weeks, he's really played some consistent football. . . . He's still growing up, learning the system, but to his credit we've given him a package of plays that he can deal with and have success with, and he's adapted extremely well."

This was in the Omaha World Herald about Castille and I believe was said at the conference on Tuesday. My question is they obviously made his package smaller than someone like Lucky, so why cant they do the same with Paul or Curenski? Give both of them a different set of 20 plays therefore we have much more athletic ability on the field at all times. I mean if you are going to take out purfiy on 50% of the plays at least you are putting in an athlete instead of someone like Erickson. I mean Paul runs a 4.4 and Curenski I believe has run a mid 4.3 so why not get him on the field? Or even Henry, put him in and let him run vertical on some plays. It just blows my mind that they do this with castille then they have brooks, henry, holt, paul, curenski, and mcneil on the bench and refuse to put them in until they know the COMPLETE offense.

This really frustates me too!!! You'd think this would have crossed him mind. Obviously not. But, you hear all the coaches talk about getting "the best players on the field." But then we never see them. I'm sure glad Niles Paul got that catch against Nevada! Good Grief.

  17. My cousin lives down in Omaha and i've never heard of this station mainly because i live in Sioux City, IA. I like to listen to Kevin and Mike and hear what they have to say and to hear what other fans have to say when they call. One thing though is when I listen to it there's times when I gets fuzzy because I live so far but then there's times that I can hear them and some mexican music in the background :boxosoap 1620 Unsportsmanlike Conduct ROCKS :woo

I live in Alabama, so I listen online. But, I listen to www.espn1480.com because they have Jim Rome instead of Mike Tirico. Then, at 2PM I switch over to Listen to Unsportsmanlike Conduct until 3PM, then I switch over to 1480 to listen to the spread. I like listening to JP, he gets fired up!

  18. Wow, if you are going to post hoax letters at least spell the man's name right. That sh#t bugs me. It's Tom OSBORNE. It's TOMMIE Frazier. It's Dave RIMINGTON. I just don't understand how people that follow Nebraska so closely can't even spell these legends' names.

I am with you on that....crazy to think people can still mess those up!!
