It didn't take us long to slip BELOW MEDIOCRITY. So this is what it feels like to root for Kansas. Rock, Chalk, WTF?
noun me·di·oc·ri·ty \ˌmē-dē-ˈä-krə-tē\
The quality of something that is not very good : the quality or state of being mediocre
: a person who does not have the special ability to do something well

Bus Tour? WTF? Waited to hear about my Huskers. What I got was god awful crap. 10 minutes of Huskers and 50 minutes of Ohio State, Harbaugh, and miscellaneous nothing. What a step down from the last few years. I used to look forward to this program, but this was the worst #@%$ I have seen from BTN.
If this is what we can expect from BTN, I won't care if my TV provider removes it from our program lineup.

Thank you much.

Does anyone know the date of the Spring game? I will be coming from out of state and need to make plans.

Jim Tressel dressed up as Lil' Red. With his identity hidden the probation issues are solved. Having the mind of Tressel and the most disturbing mascot in sports looking at them from the opposite sideline, it will make an unbeatable combination.

To the question of "Should Bo be back" I would ask,
Which team is more pleasing to watch, Nebraska or Minnesota?
To me it is Minnesota. They are better prepared, in better shape, and they play hard and with purpose. They are better coached, by a guy that knows what he is doing.
This is Bo's first gig and it shows he should remain a coordinator because he just doesn't have what it takes to coach a major college program.

Thanks for the info (and sarcasm), I have seen them play at Baylor and San Antonio, just never got around to making the trip to Lincoln.
-
Will they allow binoculars in the stadium? I have read they will allow tickets, jacket, seat cushion, and a camera bag / bags under a certain size limit, but they have never mentioned binoculars.

Am I crazy or do they respond to questions with the same thoughtful ease. He actually refers to the other players as "kids". I love that guy.

Enough with the trophy games already.
Two thoughts

I need a little help from some experts of Memorial Stadium.
I have been a fan since 1970, never been to a game at Memorial Stadium, only away games, mostly at Baylor. I have been on a tour, but this will be my first experience at Memorial Stadium. I have been looking at tickets online, at the site accessible on huskermax. I know these prices are a bit high, but I am willing to spend a few bucks as this might be my only trip to Memorial. But I would consider other methods if they guarantee I can get the tickets mailed to me at least two weeks in advance as I am driving in on Saturday and leaving the same day.
I have a couple of questions.
1. What is the best place to get third party tickets?
2. What seats should I avoid if possible?
3. Best seat section for the money?
4. Where are the seats marked with letter underscore letter, like this:
Lower-GL-15Y
Section: C_H
Section K_V
Section: K_H
Section: J_V
Section: J_H
and several other letter underscore letter sections. ?????????
Any help or advise that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I know I will over pay my one time visit, but I want to avoid getting my pants pulled down unnecessarily.
Ya sure Carl you've never been to memorial. Nice try, they still won't let you in. Atleast you and Avery Moss can try and sneak in together. Don't expect your old team to pull a surprise, your not that good of a coach.
Dang it Johnny, and all because I had an allergic reaction to his cat Faux-Jangles. It was the cat that made my nose itch, I sweat it. I was framed.

I was hoping he would commit to N. My son is on the Hendrickson JV team and he said Chance was wearing Nebraska gear like two weeks ago. I watched all 11 Hendrickson games this year and Chance and Trai were normally the second and third best players on the field (the best was the Oklahoma RB recruit also with Hendrickson)
Hendrickson is a Texas class 5A school, which means they have a enrollment of between 2,200 and 7,000. Hendrickson did not lose a game until the playoffs. They lost their starting QB and RB/Wingback just before the playoffs and they lost 17-10.
I don't know how well they will do but they are great young men.

You hit the nail on the head. Bo needs to find a way to stop the us against the world. I can see why it is difficult with negative social media he probably spends time each week helping a player one on one deal with negative comments (some real nasty) and that is why the players support him so strongly. As they see it, it probably feels like us against them, but Bo needs to come to grips with this issue and find a positive method to deal with it. Bo needs to know it isn't his team, it is Nebraska's team.

I don't think the number of wins matters as much as
Will Kain Colter or Venric Mark play Saturday? I don't know.
What time is kick off? I don't know
Who are the common opponents with Northwestern? I don't know
Will Nebraska win? I really don't care.
I have been a rabid fan since 1969 and I flat don't give a rats rip if they win or lose on Saturday and if enough others feel the same way, Pelini will be fired.

I would hire Jerry Kill, does more with less. Also can produce a epileptic seizure in case we are out of timeouts late in the game or bail on a press conference after an embarrassing loss.

Neb 45.
Purdue 13.
Rushing 303
Passing 287

Texas State held Wyoming to 64 rushing yards today (356 total). Smith ran for -17.
I watched a little bit of this on the LongHorn network (comes with the service down here, no option out of it), Texas State had their DLs just run up gaps as hard as they could. They ended with 3 sacks and 6 tackles for loss for a total of 40 yards. The Wyo QB seemed rushed and had trouble completing passes. He did hit some passes but he just didn't look comfortable in the pocket. At the time I watched some of the game Wyo was behind in the 4th quarter so I didn't see the offense when they still had an option to run, but this was Texas State.

It seemed like this defense lost passion the second half of the UCLA game. They looked like they were operating at 80 % since then. I hope they still believe in the scheme. As a comparison I watched the Texas v. K St game and the Texas defense was poor at least they played with passion.

Who leaked the tape? Me thinks his name starts with "D" and rhymes with jerk.

It is obviously too early to talk about replacing Bo, however if things don't get better by the end of the year, Mr. Eichorst will be getting phone calls from people who matter to take charge of the situation. Taking charge of the situation would include replacing the coaching staff. I think since the Solich firing and all the issues coming out of that, the only reason a head coach would be fired at Nebraska would be if the "The Streak" was in jeopardy or the big money demanded it. The first sign of end of “The Streak” is an apathetic fan base.
As a fan, I do not want to negatively impact the players, the young men don’t deserve my negative crap. I think they try their best and they put all they have into the game.
I put it on the coaches. I have always been a staunch Bo supporter, but when the fan base, me included, start to become apathetic, his job is in jeopardy.
The question is, how long do the players believe in Pelini and "The Process"? It's gotten them precisely squat, and as the years roll by, the results seem to be getting progressively worse. Nebraska is trending down, and there can be a snowball effect from losses like this.
He wants to wait until Bo completely turns in Callahan performances. Now i will give Bo til the end of year to see if he turns it around but at the end of the season we lose big to NW and Mich he has to go.
In the big picture, sometimes "The Process" includes bringing in a new head coach. I don't want that, in part because of what it does to the players, but if the circumstances call for it, I am All In.
Banker hanging out at Oregon practices -- payback?
in Husker Football
Posted
I read that Mark Banker was at the Oregon practices the other day. I wonder if he is giving their staff some inside info on the Nebraska offensive and personnel. A little payback perhaps. Maybe he will "call" his old friend and inform him that he visited Oregon?
