We are one week closer to getting a competent coaching staff.

Well said OP.

Baby seal.

That's supposed to be Ganz's job...either he's terrible at it, or TA is just not capable of being an effective D1 QB. Unfortunately for us I think both of those statements are true.

7-5. Losses to Illinois, Northwestern, Michigan and PSU.
-
At least the punter looked good.
-
Wow. There are no words.
-
This team has no heart. No fight. No pride.
Down right ashamed......
(don't give me any of the we're 4-2 crap)
Care to re-assess?
-
Would the outcome have been different if the Badgers were playing touch football too?
-
we are not good.

The sky is not falling if you're content with a mediocre team that can't compete with top teams.

I got to see that in person last night...the Detroit crowd has embraced him fully. The boos at the ref for that call were deafening, especially for a preseason game.
While the aggressive play has led to a few penalties, I think it has led to improvement by the whole Lions defense. They were flying to the ball. Granted, it was just the Bengals, but Suh is rubbing off on the rest of the team. They will be in the playoffs, if not this year, then soon.

Seems like a good fit. Hope he has some success.
JV skills, JV team...he should do fine.

On Tim Beck's offense:
"When coach Pelini was here, he did talk about that a tiny bit. He said that instead of drop-back passes, they planned to do more rollouts. And that they were going to change things to make it more easy to understand the signals in the huddle and not make things so complicated."He talked about doing things that played to the quarterbacks' strengths, and that they planned to do a little more passing."
I like hearing this. This sounds more like the spread option attack of Oregon or Michigan. The note that he's been promised he won't be redshirting - does that mean that if he ends up on campus, he'll get serious playing time at QB, or that they'll try to get him on the field somewhere else?
It's fun to think about ways of getting Martinez, Starling, Turner, Rex and Aaron Green all on the field at the same time...
Dear Lord, haven't I been saying this for months now? Having a mobile QB roll out of the pocket where he is a threat to run or throw is just a no-brainer. Especially for a QB like Martinez who looks uncomfortable in the pocket. Gents, I think the future is bright for dear old Nebraska U.
I fully agree!
Bo now finally has "his" staff and I'm betting they'll tear things up. A healthy Tmart rolling out will give opponent DCs extreme good reason to attend their local AA meeting. Give the guy a crease and he's GONE. Sell out to contain him and there should be wide open wrs everywhere. Even better, with our new WR coach they might even start catching passes. Those poor DC dudes will be dying a horrible death having to pick thier poison.
For some reason 99% of the posters here can't see our freshman qb improving but I do and he's already a deadly threat when healthy. Yep, things are looking good for the Mudville boys.
next fall is going to be fun!

If Carnes has 75% of Taylor's speed, as good orbetter mobility, and the ability to throw on the run, methinks we could see another shakeup this fall, esp. if we have a new offensive staff coming on.
I like your thinking and it would be great I Carnes turns out that way, but you know what they say...if my aunt had a dick she'd be my uncle.

I think given the chance he will run it up on schools like Mizzou and Texas.
Run up the score? While the Arizona game was promising the idea of running up the score on teams this year seems a little far fetched at this point.

How does it feel to be whored out by your AD?
The real question is, for Nebraska fans, how does it feel to have a classless AD in Osborne? Nice Press Conference-Way to throw everyone under the bus on your way out of the Big 12. Cause of course it's everyone elses fault, except Nebraska right? Please. Man up and show some class. You chose to leave. Nobody forced you out.
All I can say is don't let the door hit ya.
kind of like what it did to todd reesing when he got kicked out of the CFL?
i do not think TO was blaming anyone, he was just explaining the circumstances around their decision. if you really think Osborne was classless, it is because you are letting your preconceived biases control your perceptions.
Plus, I don't think jayhawk fans really have any room to talk about classiness of ADs.

Their problem is that they can never hope to sniff a measure of the success we've enjoyed in the only sport that matters, so they cop an attitude about our state/location/people/whatever being inferior.

My friend's mom is boinking some flunky that works for Delaney and he said they are exploring a 64 team conference set up like the March basketball tournament. Seeding will be determined by academic ranking, attractiveness of cheerleaders and who washes Kirk Herbstreit's balls the best.
-
This is just a question. Do you think of the possibility of us joining the big 10 maybe our recruiting in big 10 country might open up a bit this year? Like, more kids from the ohio, and illions and michigan states
I hope so. I hear the kids from the illions are freaks.

Reminded me of Terrell Farley, especially when he lined up at linebacker and blitzed.
-
I really like the white socks pulled up and white shoes. Wouldn't mind seeing us go back to that.

Tom Osborne was a US Congressman...Trev Alberts was an ESPN stooge. That pretty much sums it up for me, as far as who would have the better skill set to navigate the backroom dealings and be heard in discussions.
And this. No way Trev could command more respect than Dr. Tom.

Maybe our coaches decided that we already have enough WRs that never play.
Have to admit, this made me laugh.
Mike Reilly won't be fired

Bo just needs time to change the culture and get "his" players there.
