  1. Section 19, Row 86, Seats 24-27 $65 each. email bball230@gmail.com
  2. I agree with your input on Goodson. He gets the respect around the A&M fan base and as the season moves forward, I think that respect will move towards a Big 12 and eventually National level. As far as explosiveness, the O-line group is considered top 3 in the Nation and TE Martellus Bennett made pre-season 1st team All-American by ESPN. ESPN Overall, the offense should be hard to stop with are biggest weakness being unproven receivers. I am just ready to see all of this in action on the field. I am really looking forward to making my first trip to Lincoln to see our game this year.
  3. I am not sure where you are getting this overrating from as I haven't seen him listed better than 3rd best QB in the Big 12 with most rankings at 4th behind Cart McCry, Chase Daniels, and Bobby Reid. I am guessing that the 4th best ranking in the Big 12 is still overrated to you? As far as arm strength goes, he didn't throw the ball at all during fall practices last year due to a torn tricep in his right arm. A&M designed their offense last year around that injury. I am not sure how big of an impact that had on his throwing or the play calling but take it for what it is worth. ESPN article with torn triceps info. This article says "then he tore his triceps, when it actually happened at the beginning of fall practices. Check his HS stats for his throwing ability and look to see some better passing from him this year as I believe you will be in for a big surprise with his throwing this year. High School Stats You are right about hitting Lane low. I have to say that I am a big fan of Nebraska, second to A&M of course, ever since watching Eric Crouch play and then learning the History of Nebraska football and meeting some of your fans. I enjoy getting opinions from opposing fans as it keeps me from getting too drunk on the maroon kool-aid.
  4. I will remember you said that, and hopefully make you eat those words. This is my unlikely pick for this season, I think Bob gets it done this year against all odds. I think ou gets them this year as well.
  5. Good analysis, but I have to disagree with your opinion about Lane and McGee. Lane is definitely the fattest player to run the football, but he moves well with all that weight and will get plenty of carries depending on the game, and may have more than Goodsen. By the end of the season their carries should be within a 45%-55% split. McGee IS a great leader and will do a good job distributing the ball to the entire offense. You may be right about OSU; that game will be won by the team who has the better defense that day.
  6. Backup (301-500 Posts) ** Group: Members Posts: 367 Joined: 8-May 07 From: Omaha Member No.: 3126 Thanks for the credit guys! skersOVRsc: your predictions match mine and agree that with a couple plays going our way, could move ahead of OU and UT. Playing in Norman should be our biggest test in the south.
  7. OU's schedule sets up very nicely and they have a legit shot at going undefeated and winning the Big 12. If they do that there is a good chance they can end up in the title championship game. Yes, they have a huge question mark at QB, but they did last year and still won the Big 12. That is the only question mark on their starting line up. If they can teach the new guy how to hand off and throw an occasional pass to keep the opposing defenses honest, with their defense I can see why someone could pick them.
  8. Agree that the Kansas pick is a joke. Another joke is how many of them pick Texas to win the Big 12. They have to get past OU and then play A&M at A&M a team they lost to at home last year. I think they are overhyped IMO. Edit: They have yall on the schedule as well. Between OU, NU, and A&M they will have a loss if not two and possibly all three. I don't see them winning the Big 12 this year.
  9. I will definitely have fun. Thanks for all the suggestions for bars and restaurants. What time do the bars close?
  10. Yea, what he said. Be discreet about it and you won't run in to much trouble. Thanks!
  11. Me and a few fellow Aggies are making our first trip to Lincoln for the game this year. I have heard several good things about yalls game day experience and the Big Red fan base. I had a few beers with a couple of your fans in College Station after the game last year and they convinced me to make the trip this year. We plan on arriving around 6pm Friday and want to get the most out of our trip and enjoy the Big Red game day experience to the fullest. Is there anything special to do Friday night or just go to the bars and what bars are good to go to? I hear the tailgating is awesome. Does that all take place on campus? If not on campus, where at? Can you walk around campus with a beer? I am not sure what we will do before the game as it would be hard for us to have our own tailgate but I know we want to drink so any suggestions for pre-game would be great. Good luck against USC and Missouri as I see these games will be your two biggest challenges before us. I will be pulling for Big Red in hopes of getting a top 15 matchup pending that we do our part against Miami and ttech. Regardless, I think the game will be as good if not better than last year. Also, where is the visitor section in Memorial Stadium? Sorry if another Aggie has been on here to ask these type of questions in another thread. I will be sure to link this thread to our message board once there are a few replies to keep these threads on here to a minimum. All replies will be greatly appreciated. See you in October. Gig 'em.
