According to this site (I regard it as THE source for CFB Tv Times) Nebraska/UW will be the primary 3:30 game with ASU/Wisonsin as the "reverse mirror". I can't recall for sure, but doesn't this imply that both of these games will be on with one being on ABC in the viewer's "primary location" with the other being on ESPN at the same time?

That's what I was starting to think as I looked it over. BTW, this guy's site is awesome. I've been using it for a few years.

  2. Normally the morning and afternoon games are regional. The ABC night games are normally national.

Yeah I agree. Here's the BCS "competition" for that day.

    Clemson at Auburn (Probably CBS)

Georgia Tech at North Carolina (Probably ESPN)

Iowa at Arizona (Probably Evening ESPN2)

You forgot Arkansas at Georgia and Florida/Tennessee (probably the 330 CBS game).

SEC games aren't on ABC. They only are on ESPN or CBS, that's why I didn't include them. Also, Clemson at Auburn can probably be removed because it is @ Auburn, which means they are they host school so no ABC.

  4. Nebraska's game at Washington on Sept. 18 will be televised on ABC, with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m.

The announcement was made Tuesday by ABC and the Pac-10 Conference.

It's the second Husker game of the 2010 season that we know will be on television. Nebraska's Thursday night contest at Kansas State on Oct. 7 will be televised by ESPN.

Nebraska has fared better in the light of day against the Huskies. Last time Nebraska visited Seattle in 1997, the Huskers beat No. 2 Washington 27-14 during an afternoon kickoff. Scott Frost had a big-time first half a week after some were saying Frankie London should be the quarterback.

The trip to Seattle in 1992 wasn't near as pleasant. That game kicked off at 9 p.m. central time and Washington unloaded on the Huskers 29-14.

When Washington is playing well, Husky Stadium is one of the more difficult places to play. The Huskies were 5-2 at home last year with wins over USC, Arizona, Washington State and California.

They didn't say whether it was a national or regional broadcast.

This just goes to show why our TV contract blows. A lower ranked Wisconsin gets a crappy ASU team at home, and they get a national broadcast...

  5. Done. By the way saunders, your avatar is awesome!! That kid looks like he's ready to rip someones head off :laughpound

Thanks. I made it last year as a joke to show my wife what our first kid would look like... Little did we know that this would be the year, and we'll find out what he looks like come August.

  6. In mack's defense we do play them the week after the OU game and that's two prety tough oppents on only five days rest.

Texas has a bye week between the OU and NU games. So did Nebraska until they moved the KState game to Thursday Night.

Not exactly. The KSU game was originally scheduled for the 9th, and now it's on the 7th, 12 days after SDSU and 9 days before Texas.

  7. Mack Brown: "I'm glad to see Nebraska is back. Because we (the Big 12) needed that."

it's nice of him to say that, and he is right. the big XII has been a joke with how strong the south was and how weak the north was. it was unfair to the south, and the north was holding back the entire big XII. the only way the Big XII could be considered as strong as the SEC is if they is more parity between the divisions.

Unfair to the south? Texas is the reason the North has trouble competing. They formulated the rules to ensure the South had an advantage. Texas can DIAF.

  8. Having a running threat at QB is great, but when your FB team in 101st in the nation in passing offense, your first priority should probably be locating and developing your best young arms. Especially when your returning starter is sitting out most, if not all of spring practice recovering from an arm injury.

But when your total offense is 99th in the nation your first priority should be to develop a "real" running game. Sure, we can run the ball on the SunBelt teams, but....

We ran the ball pretty well on OU and VT also. But when your best 2 RB's are injured, and you have no threat of a passing game, the D can easily load the box and win the battle up front.

  9. McNeill and Reed will be used in a hybrid TE/Slot WR position similar to how Missouri used Martin Rucker and Chase Coffman. Also, Ryan Hill is going to be more of an h-back/Fullback than TE.

  10. "How extensively is Nebraska’s offensive approach evolving, even as we speak, especially at the quarterback position?

Well, Husker quarterbacks this spring will practice without green “hands-off” jerseys most, if not all, of the time, NU offensive coordinator Shawn Watson said Tuesday, noting a significant departure from recent springs."

  11. Here's what none of you are seeing. This won't be absorbed by the companies (EA, ESPN, ABC, FSN, CBS). Who do you think will pay for these increased expenses? Yep, us. Games will turn PPV, or we'll have twice as many commercials to pay for costs. It's the beginning of a giant snowball and the kids will see like $50, if that......
