  1. My wife and I are USF season ticket holders, and this year as an anniversary present, she got me an iPhone. Since some of the games overlap, I'm not always able to watch/listen to both. Now, there's not any "official" apps for listening to games, but I have seen iheartradio. Now, huskers.com lists Omaha - 1110 KFAB-AM as a broadcasting affiliate, and 1110 is supported by iheartradio. Is this my only/best option?

  2. Sam Bradford (Oklahoma), Ndamukong Suh (Nebraska) and Phil Taylor (Baylor) highlight the 2009 Preseason All-Big 12 Football Team, chosen by media representatives who cover the Conference.

Bradford was named Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and selected the preseason squad’s quarterback. The 2008 Heisman Trophy winner was Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year last season and earned All-Big 12 First Team honors. Bradford was also a consensus All-America while winning the Davey O’Brien and Sammy Baugh awards.

Suh garnered honors as Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and as a defensive linemen on the preseason team. He was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team a year ago after leading the Conference linemen with 76 tackles.

  4. The University of Nebraska and FOX Sports Midwest have announced that Nebraska’s three non-conference home football games will be available on a pay-per-view basis on Big 12 Special Order Sports, the network’s pay-per-view division. The two parties also announced the continuation of the school’s men’s and women’s basketball television package with the network for the 2009-10 season.

Nebraska’s home football games against Florida Atlantic (Sept. 5), Arkansas State (Sept. 12) and Louisiana-Lafayette (Sept. 26) will all be available on a pay-per-view basis. FSN will produce the pay-per-view telecasts and the games will be available on participating cable systems in Nebraska as well as nationally on participating satellite and telco systems. Full details regarding the telecasts will be available in the coming weeks.

Game times for the three contests have also been set. The season opener against Florida Atlantic will kick off at 6 p.m. under the Memorial Stadium lights. The contest will mark the fourth time in the past six seasons Nebraska has opened the season with a home night game, and the 13th time in program history NU has opened the season under the lights. The following week Nebraska will take on Arkansas State in a 1 p.m. contest.

Following a trip to Virginia Tech on Sept. 19, Nebraska returns home on Sept. 26 to face La.-Lafayette in a 6 p.m. contest. The game will be Homecoming on the UNL campus and will also mark the Huskers’ 300th consecutive sellout at Memorial Stadium.

The three non-conference home games are being televised on a pay-per-view basis because they were not selected for over-the-air broadcast or cable television coverage. In addition to the three pay-per-view contests, Nebraska previously had three games selected to be telecast on ABC and ESPN. The Virginia Tech contest will be televised on ABC with a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff from Blacksburg, Va. NU’s Big 12 opener at Missouri will be an 8 p.m. kickoff on ESPN on Thursday, Oct. 8, and the regular-season finale against Colorado will be televised nationally by ABC with a 2:30 p.m. CT kick. Game times and television information for the remainder of the Huskers’ games will be announced six to 12 days in advance of kickoff.

  5. That being said this is the perfect kickoff time for this game, although a 3:30 would be sweeter, because it isn't the night, where home teams can become a whole different animal. And it isn't a 10:00(our time) kick where our boys generally look half asleep. Think the Wake game a couple of years ago as well as the Pitt game I believe.

    It's 3:30 eastern, 2:30 central...

  6. Nebraska's game against Virginia Tech on Sept. 19 will be televised regionally on ABC at 2:30 p.m. (central), but also will be available to most of the rest of the country on ESPN2.

This is the third Husker game so far that has been picked up by television.

The game at Missouri will be televised by ESPN on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. And the post-Thanksgiving game at Colorado will be on ABC at 2:30 p.m. that Friday.

Thank God! VT has a ridiculous night game record, so this should help a bit...

    More to come...

Fourth overall at running back?!? Besides OU, I can't name another team that has two proven HBs returning. Who did they rank ahead of us? Please tell me it's not OSU, or even worse CU! :bs:

OSU has one of the best backs in the conference returning.

Correct. OU is 1, OSU 2, Mizzou 3. OSU makes sense, but Mizzou? I guess Washington is a 1,000 yd back... but geez, Roy almost was, and he was a backup!
