  1. Alright Saunders45, I'll take you up on that. I'll post the KU/USF score at the bottom of my sig after the big Jayhawk Win. That will be a good reminder for all the non-mangino-believers on this board.

The Jayhawks will be too much for USF to handle. We have WAY to many weapons on offense, and the defense is rock solid.

I still have the Hawks by 13. I have laready contacted my Vegas connection and have $100 on the Hawks. I can't believe they're 3.5 point dogs. Thanks for the free money Vegas!!!

    And when they lose???

Kansas's defense will win this game. I see KU winning by 13 points @USF.

USF doesn't score more than 17 points. Book it.

So much for booking that one, I wonder if you watched that game?

He'll talk trash, but won't man up and put the signature in.

  2. That game was very fun to watch....however, it should have never got that close. On the 3rd and 21 there was a HUGE hold that was not called. I could not believe the ref missed it. You could see the inside of the D end's shoulder pads.

The KU tackles were holding all night long, it was pretty ridiculous.

  3. I'm right here Saunders, even though I have no respect at all for you, I'm still here and I'll say we got out played. The 3rd quarter lost the game for us. Reesing got really greedy in the final minute and threw the worst pick of his career. But I can say I'm not mad. I'm actually proud of the way KU hung in there. When it was 34-20, mos teams would of quit. But we showed alot of heart coming back.

The real weakness of my team is the offensive line. I think that was apparent all throughout the night. I know I'll never forget how we were up by 20-3. Unreal!! I guess that's why we love college football!! You never know what will happen. I still think we would of beat USF on a neutral field, however, the crowd DID play a factor and I am now worried about our road games.....more than I was yesterday!!!

It's damn hard to win on the road, especially in that environment. I'm proud of the team and the way we played. We never quit. But just fell short.

In the end, I was wrong boys. But at least I still won my bet with VEGAS!! LOL. They gave me 3.5!! LOL

But I was wrong. I said we would win, and we didn't. I'll eat some crow for this so pass it on. OK, I;m really drunk, so I;m going to bed now. I love Husker natuon and always will.

    Peace. JGS30 :koolaid2:

Dunno why no respect, but whatever. Congrats on the bet. That was the best game I've ever been too. I thought it was over about halfway through the second, but they finally came out in the second half and played like I knew they would. That said, I would love to know why the Big 12 refs don't call holding.

Ha.... If you're so sure, you'll put the final score in your signature, and keep it there for the rest of the season, win or loss.

  6. :yeah If USF couldn't stop Central Florida's passing game, why would they be able to stop Kansas? Apparently a Big East team replacing two N.F.L. draft picks at corner doesn't just reload. Kansas double-teams Selvie and Reesing picks these guys apart.

Did you watch that game???? UCF had barely 200 yards of offense and USF made the mistake of letting off the gas. Also, USF was missing their 1st and 2nd string RB's, which explains why they let off the running game at the end. I guarantee, if Mike Ford and Ben Williams were in that game, it ends 24-10 or 31-10.

    Bulls by 8.

  7. The local watch site has confirmed that the three PPV games will be shown. I won't be able to make the first game, but I'l be there for the next two.

  8. I'm really looking forward to this game also. I started following the Bulls after watching them thump on West Va. last season. Hopefully they can put together a full season. If USF comes out this year like last year then Kansas had better have it strapped on. I read somewhere that USF specifically recruits its players to stopping Pat White, well WV runs the spread. Kansas also runs the spread with more passing. If they can shut down KU's run game and make them one dimensional, a win will not be out of the question.

Didn't look too good against Oregon's spread, or did UofO go with their I-formation stuff they lost their starting QB. USF losing their MLB, 2nd in tackles, and the starting corners can't be good either. Their offense should be pretty good with only 1 starter lost and Grother back. Anyway, I'll definitely watch that game with interest. Not sure why all the Nebraska fans want Kansas to lose. I'd like them to be undefeated when the Huskers beat them.

Honestly, it was a combination of the team just being happy to be there, and Oregon exploiting the size of the Defensive Tackles. As far as Ben Moffit, the MLB, being gone, that's not much a an issue IMO as Tyrone McKenzie, the leading tackler, slid over into his spot. This bigger question, IMO, is the loss of Jenkins and Williams, the best CB tandem IMHLO...

As far as wanting Kansas to lose, KU fan along with MU fan has gotten way to big of a head after 1 season of success...

  9. McCarney was just the Defensive Line Coach. Coach Leavitt and DC Wally Burnham are the real brains, although I do think McCarney had quite a bit to do with Selvie's emergence. Oh, and Cy, I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that Tyrone McKenzie is a freakin' beast, and from what I hear, one of the smartest players in USF history(short as it is).

  10. As a USF season ticket holder (my wife's an Alum) I pray to God that KU comes in with the confidence and cockiness that JGS30 has. George Selvie will have 3 sacks, the USF secondary will have 3 picks, and Reesing will be eating the turf in Raymond James stadium, all while the Bulls come away with a 2+ TD win. When they get their asses beat on national Television, and KU leaves the field to a shower of cheeseburgers from the student section (and Mangino eats 6 before he even gets to the tunnel), I'll be standing in section 214 with my Husker gear on screaming "See you in Lincoln, Losers!!!"

Agreed, and with KU losing their 3rd RB in as many weeks, it's gonna be interesting. The achilles of USF's defense the last 2 years has been great between the tackles running, which KU won't have this year.

Oh my god! Chase "Cheeseburger" Daniel is sooo FAT! Nice picture Tigerfan! LOL

Yea... he's always been a bit of a chubbette. Your linebackers will really notice it as he runs past them or blocks on an end-around.

I guess we'll have to see now won't we. Your team will be out of excuses this year cause you don't have to play OU and KU gets all 3 powers from the South. You Tiger Fans got your wish. But as long as Pinkel is in control of your ship, I'll rest easy. Don't stub your foot on the opener. We want you undefeated @ Arrowhead, only this time our roles will be reversed. KU will have 1 loss to OU. But only this time we finish what we started during the 2nd half of last years game when we scored 21 unanswered on your Tigers. We'll own you at Arrowhead. Nobody beats Reesing twice.

    Go Hawks!

Dream on beaker.... KU will have 4 losses at that point. USF, Texass, OU, and DONU.

  13. Not too much of a surprise seeing as they are probably working off of last years performance.

This year's sim engine is borked. I consider myself an above average, but not Hardcore NCAA player, but reading through some of the NCAA Strategies forums, the hardcore dynasty & sim guys are pissed. I've simmed about 10 times for the 2008 season, and I've seen NU do 5-7 to 12-2, and anywhere in between.
