1st. Fisher can't takle himself....probably a nice kid but a pathetic football player.
Fisher was terrible, he's so tentative and slow. Give Trevor Roach a chance. He plays aggressive and flys around the field.

Did Mike McNeill make the Colts final roster then? I'm kind of surprised with how deep they are at TE (Clark and Tamme) I guess they value the position enough to keep another guy around. They probably just assume Clark will go out with another injury this year.
-
Haha thanks for that info. Burkhead for Heisman! Glad we are starting with an easy game with such a brutal schedule next year.

The matte black helmets the Nike schools wore for a few games look bad ass. But that is for schools like Oregon, our uniforms should always stay the same
-
In our state's defense, there aren't any home games after Dec 1. If they ask about the weather their hosts can just say it doesn't get cold until Dec 1!
-
Yeah, kyler reed's foot was down. That was a first down
-
This wasn't bad enough?..
This picture is awesome!!
I think it requires a caption contest:
"It's been fun, but I'm probably never going to call you again."

If our second and third stringers get us to 70 points, so be it. But don't leave the starters in just to rack up points. I want to see our backups get some experience
-
Even if they score 42 points we will still win the game. Their defense looks bad

We jumped Texas in the AP poll ..ha All the way to number 6. Who is the writer that keeps voting Texas number one? 7th in the coaches poll. And someone voted us #1! Sarkisian?

The Bears signed Barry Turner to their practice squad as well.

Masoli is now set to be the starter at Ole Miss now...we know the kids a baller, but do you think we should have tried to get him to transfer here? Its a mute point now, but I've always been a fan, and at worst he could have provided some great depth. There are some serious character issues there, but in my opinion its outweighed by the positive. Thoughts?
Chalk up another No vote. And it's a moot point, not a mute point.

Eric Hagg. Prince and Dennard will be locking it down on the outside. The only thing available will be the TE or dump off passes. I can see Hagg accumulating a ton of tackles.

Damn, just look at our recent history against them.....
09/23/2000 Lincoln W 42-13 1/ 78,07009/04/1999 Iowa City W 42-7 5/ 70,397
09/11/1982 Lincoln W 42-7 3/ 76,013
09/12/1981 Iowa City L 7-10 7/ 60,160
09/20/1980 Lincoln W 57-0 6/ 76,029
No wonder they haven't wanted to play us lately!
They had some really bad years in the 90's up to about 2001 when Ferentz turned it around. It is probably a good thing we didn't play them in 2004-2006!

Braylon Heard #23.

Lucky is going to have a tough road to hoe to make the Jets roster. I could see him being on the practice squad though. They have Shonn Greene, LT and Joe McKnight at RB
btw, I think they moved Danny Woodhead to slot WR. That must be the new spot for little RB's, the Chiefs drafted Dexter McCluster for the same position.

There's a fast track they run on at the UNL pro day, so I wouldn't be too excited about 40 times. That said, I really hope Chris Brooks latches on somewhere. For a guy who was supposed to be our most talented receiver, he really got crap for opportunities during his time here - and didn't complain or leave.
I am surprised Asante didn't run a little faster though. Thought he was an athletic freak who would be more of a workout warrior.
What makes it a fast track? Is it not on the field turf like the combine?
-
Took a while, but they charged him with one count of burglary.

Callahan is probably taking all the credit for recruiting Suh to come here. Thanks, Bill. At least you did one thing right.
I'll thank John Blake first.
-
He'll either be alongside Carriker or Vanden Bosch, so it'll be fun to watch either way. For some reason I'd rather see him in Lions gear.
So he can relive a Nebraska type offense most of his career? The only way you could be any more cruel is to have Cosgrove take over as the defensive coach.
Like the Rams are gonna be any better? Or Tampa Bay for that matter....
Exactly. I think the Lions are going to be better much sooner than the Rams. They already have a good young starting QB, the rams have got no one.
-
That'd be cool if Suh and Vanden Bosch are on the same line. Especially if they dominate together! I don't think the Burleson signing is very good though.
I heard the Bears might go after Peppers too.

I was thinking about this myself. A legit 4.4 is rare.
This article had some decent info, about timing errors and such. They also had Joe Haden, and Florida's 40 board, which is a crock. They had him running a 4.33 at Florida, his actual time was a 4.57 at the combine! Only off by .24!
I'm going to add .2 to whatever 40 time i see

I don't mind if he's not the best speaker in the world. Check this video of Tannehill from A&M.
http://v4.texags.com/Stories/3100 - Interview with Ryan Tannehill
Tannehill has just lost 2 games in a row due to bad second half performances by the offense. The fans are upset I'm sure. He's not the greatest speaker, but he says what he is feeling. And you can tell he cares. Taylor's standoffish attitude, and answering questions with 'whatever,' gives the impression that he doesn't care. We all care so much about this team, this football program, this state.. We just want a quarterback who will do the same.
