The wildcard is the linebackers. I hope everyone can stay healthy. I know damon benning and others don't think dillard will be starting. But i think he'll be in the middle and be an anchor all year.

Dennis Erickson laid an egg this year. Wasn't ASU suppose to compete with USC for the pac 10 title? They were 5-7, which includes wins over Washington st and Washington. So really they were more like 3-7!

The others like Swift, Stein, Ganz and Slauson will be free agent pick ups and at least get a shot. Hopefully they can impress in summer camp.

I'm a big fan of having 2 solid backs and rotating them. A 3 man rotation and they never get into the flow of the game. So next year, Helu and Castille. Then Mendoza can be the 3rd guy in case one goes down.

Depends alot on the other teams ranked in the 20-30 range. BC will drop, but both Iowa and Florida St. will have to be ranked with their impressive victories.

I got pretty excited about Compton last year. After a coaching change and Gabbert trying to get him to switch to mizzou, he still chose the 'skers! Can't wait to see him on the field next year!

I think TCU and Boise St. will be a good one, two very good teams. Same with Ball St. and Tulsa. Ball st might have a let down though after losing the MAC and coach Hoke as well.

The ESPN bias that is supposed to be out there is lame. It isn’t like they go out of their way to do these things, but then again they might because I’m sure most of the time NU fans take the bait and e-mail, call, or pony express ESPN to spew their displeasure with their picking against the Big Red.

Agreed. I think it makes us look like a bunch of whiny sissies when we complain about something as stupid as ESPN or a certain announcer hating us. Who gives a rats ass. Why don't we just win to put them in their place!

It makes me excited for the years to come when Pelini gets the guys he wants in there and we can have another great defense like '03 or '99.

Pelini didn't recruit those guys, Frank did. So I don't know how you can call them his guys. He is just a great coach that got them to play at a high level.
