  1. On the show last night, they used Vegas' odds on number of wins each team would get and the experts??? guessed for several teams. Nebraska's over/under number is 6.5. Ed Cunningham was very against Nebraska, saying he covered the Big 12 and Nebraska has no talent to get 7 wins and get over their number. He said A+M, on the other hand, was loaded with talent and would get above their number of 6.5.

Todd McShay said they should get above, but also wasn't very enthusiastic.

Also, they had a poll done during the show asking fans which new coach would increase wins the most in his first year. Pelini won, and the panel laughed, saying people in Lincoln were busy on their computers.

    Thoughts?

    I predict 9.

If I lived in Vegas I'd put some money on it to break 6.5.

  2. Anyone else think this sounds a little strange? When talking about Curenski Gilleylen, Ganz said something like, "when he learns the routes, he'll be a potent weapon for me".

I would have thought he would have said "weapon for US".

What was the context? I can see someone asking him about how he relates to the receivers...then bringing up Gilleylen.

  3. Ganz...Lee...Witt..

Who cares? They'll all look the same once their faces are planted deep in the turf by the mighty Cyclone defense!

    Bwahahahahahahahahahaha

I'm thinking any of the 3 Millard Schools in Omaha could probably run all over that "mighty Cyclone defense".

  4. What I had heard was that he punched a guy and took the cash. One would have to think that there was more to it than that. You'd have to think that for some reason he though the cash was his. We'll see what comes out...maybe the guy screwed him over on a car or something.

  5. It's a little soon to be saying Glenn will be starting at SLB...but so far all I've heard is that he's impressed.

I hope to see the guy do well. It'd be interesting to see a RB become a starting LB from one year to the next.

  6. It would end up counting somehow into the polls. If they scrimmaged another team in the spring, then teams would just have to worry about winning that one, too. I can just hear if there were two undefeated teams, they'd be talking about the spring game, and how they looked in it.

  7. Part of it that kids are being scrutinized more. I can't remember who it was that a story was told of...he got out of a bar, saw a milk truck and not wanting to walk home, drove it home. If a kid did that today he'd be done. 30 years ago he got a slap on the hand.

I think people just looked the other way more back then.

  8. I can understand that people want to stand to cheer their team. Do they have to stand on the seats, though? I heard them talk about an email to Unsportsmanlike conduct where a guy who is 6 ' 1" couldn't see w/out getting up on his seat. I don't think you should have to climb up on the seat to see.

  9. Potter is too tall to play DT. Except for a few very special players, DT's really need to be 6'0-6'3''. If DT's are too tall, it is very easy for offensive lineman to get their hands into their chest plate and push them every which way.

    Jason Peter is 6' 4".

He was a DT at NU.

Remeber Patrick Kabongo? I think he was quite a bit bigger, and while he was never an out and out stud, I'm sure he'd easily find a place on this year's team.
