  1. I predict 9. If I lived in Vegas I'd put some money on it to break 6.5.
  2. I realize there probably aren't a lot of Bears fans here.... but Buddy Ryan never was HC for the Bears. He was DC...then left for....I think the Eagles?
  3. ummm...it's that vaunted KSU defense.... yeah.....that's the ticket!
  4. What was the context? I can see someone asking him about how he relates to the receivers...then bringing up Gilleylen.
  5. Bwahahahahahahahahahaha I'm thinking any of the 3 Millard Schools in Omaha could probably run all over that "mighty Cyclone defense".
  6. I'm just not sure Pelini was ready to be head coach back in 2003. He had been a DC for 1 year. In any event, everything I've seen from him I've been impressed by.
  7. Maybe it makes me a homer, but I'm optimistic. I see 2-3 losses this year. Maybe 4. I think they'll be good.
  8. On the 80 yard bomb. Who blew the coverage? Or was he just that fast?
  9. interesting that the only ones that voted for houston nutt was a small 4 state pocket around arkansas. the majority of the cuntry is orange for Pelini.
  10. I think it's only spring. Lucky is proven, and if Helu outperforms him this fall, I think we'll see him get more and more time.
  11. we know why he wasn't a QB...you see the throwing motion on Brown? That would give pro scouts fits. Good stuff though. It's interesting to see them actually coaching instead of just talking to the media.
  12. Looking forward to seeing what Glenn does at LB.
  13. bwahahahahah. The guy could have 3 eyes for all I care.
  14. What I had heard was that he punched a guy and took the cash. One would have to think that there was more to it than that. You'd have to think that for some reason he though the cash was his. We'll see what comes out...maybe the guy screwed him over on a car or something.
  15. It's a little soon to be saying Glenn will be starting at SLB...but so far all I've heard is that he's impressed. I hope to see the guy do well. It'd be interesting to see a RB become a starting LB from one year to the next.
  16. I work with a KSU fan. I just want to see NU kill 'em.
  17. With the way Pelini used Demo Williams, I wouldn't be surprised to see him line up on the end and go after the QB on passing downs.
  18. Born in Iowa (don't claim it though), and moved here when I was 4. My dad hates Nebraska football, and brainwashed me until I was about 12, when I saw the light. That was 1985 or so. I cried when the Huskers lost in 1993. I whooped and hollered in 1994, and again in 1995. And again in 1997.
  19. It would end up counting somehow into the polls. If they scrimmaged another team in the spring, then teams would just have to worry about winning that one, too. I can just hear if there were two undefeated teams, they'd be talking about the spring game, and how they looked in it.
  20. Part of it that kids are being scrutinized more. I can't remember who it was that a story was told of...he got out of a bar, saw a milk truck and not wanting to walk home, drove it home. If a kid did that today he'd be done. 30 years ago he got a slap on the hand. I think people just looked the other way more back then.
  21. I can understand that people want to stand to cheer their team. Do they have to stand on the seats, though? I heard them talk about an email to Unsportsmanlike conduct where a guy who is 6 ' 1" couldn't see w/out getting up on his seat. I don't think you should have to climb up on the seat to see.
  22. Jason Peter is 6' 4". He was a DT at NU. Remeber Patrick Kabongo? I think he was quite a bit bigger, and while he was never an out and out stud, I'm sure he'd easily find a place on this year's team.
  23. 1. Solich to Callahan was a huge offensive change of offensive philosophy. 2. The defensive players, I would think, do respect Pelini.
