Speaking of Bohl, his NDSU team is at Minnesota on the Big Ten Network 11 am this Saturday. They almost beat them last year and his team just moved into 1st place in the FSC coashes poll this week.

How long do we have to wait to have the 95' team back?

This is part of the problem of the mentality of alot of the fanbase right now. The country knows the caliber of fans that we are, but, this kind of comment makes us look like snobs....like we deserve to have another '95 team just because we want one. I doubt you will ever see that team again, for a good reason: it was the best college footbal team, ever.

I heard from my grandmother's neighbor's friend that she works with a guy whose father just saw Jimmy Johnson eating lunch with Steve Pederson at a Runza in Lincoln.

Yeah sure whatever!! You're nuts!! On this other funeral home message board, there is a post about the lawn mower maintenance guy out at Lincoln Memorial Park, giving directions to a bunch of NU bosters, carrying Apostles' Creed. They later interviewed the maintenance guy and in his rough english, he said something about a resurrection and Bob Devaney.

Guy's still looking good! What was he doing on campus?

Doesn't he teach a psyc class? I remember reading something about him teaching again after he lost the Gov race.

I don't want Callahan fired at this point. Nor do I think about his replacment on a regular basis, but I do think if we had to go after another coach it would be Chris Peterson of Boise State. Got to love a young fiesty coach like him...the bowl game vs OU last year says it all.

Boy, there's nothin' like seeing the Big Red faithfull turn into band wagon jumping fans. I'd rather show my pride week in and week out than to just show up when we're winning.

 

 

I've said it before... Go ahead and go to the game if you've got tickets. Hell, it doesn't matter...they've already got that money. WHEN YOU GET THERE, DO NOT SPEND ONE DIME MORE!!!! NO DOGS, NO POP, NO RUNZA, NO VAL'S, NO POPCORN, NO NOTHING!!!! Let's see..... 85,000 x $5.00 = $425,000 in lost revenue (I know that it doesn't all go to the U) A few games like that will get SOMEBODY'S attention. GO BIG RED!!

Ok, fair enough, but lets be realistic: On the other side of the coin....back in the mid 90's, all of the fans at the games....do you really think they are sitting there saying "Hey we're blowing out Pacific, lets go eat some hot dogs to show our support." I'm not going to go to a game and starve myself to make the AD change coaches...once again, not realistic. Actually what gets attention (for recruiting purposes), is the fact that everybody sticks together and supports the team as a whole....still showing up, wearing (and buying) my red shirt and chearing on the team through thick and thin.

I'll never forget celebrating the title wins in the 90's, thinking to myself "Consider yourself VERY lucky. You are experiencing something very special and alot of football fans will never in their lifetimes, get to celebrate like we are now." Nowadays, I remember how I felt back then and STILL appreciate what we have now.

I'm not here to criticize anyone, Huskerboard asks that you please do not start 10 topics about the same exact thing.

 

All of you have every right to voice your opinion regardless of what your saying, no one is calling out members which is awesome, but I keep merging the same topics over and over. and as the little smiley is saying, it's driving me insane.

 

Try and I really do mean try to read the board a little before starting a new topics.

I think one thing that would help is to break down the "Husker Footbal" category. I am brand new to this site and that's the first thing I noticed was there are alot of users here and a good post gets shuffled to page 2 pretty quickly. There needs to be "Husker Football" and then after "Husker Football", "Recruiting" and "Oklahoma State Game Week" and "Coachs", etc categories after the "Husker Football" category. Just and Idea.
