I think Quarterback skills have gone downhill since Turner Gill left the staff. We definitely need someone at that position.

 

Could be. But two notes:

 

- We didn't exactly have the greatest passing QBs during his time

- We could afford to have a QB coach because we didn't have an "offensive coordinator"

 

According to Gill's bio he coached quarterbacks at Nebraska from 1992 to 2004 ... so that would be among others Frazier, Frost, and Crouch ... Yeah you're right. Who needs guys like that.

While there may be some argument about where college footballs best fans are ... there can no longer be any argument about where the worst one are.

I go with the Armstrong/Enunwa pass because a. it was planned and b. It hold good things for our team's future. The Kellogg/Westerkamp was luck. If you repeated both plays how often do you think either one would succeed? I'd give the edge to the Armstrong to Enunwa.

That's football in 2013. The QB in particular has a tiny strike zone. You grab him by the neck like that, and the refs see it, it'll get called every time.

 

The thing that surprised me is that they saw it. Initially I thought it was just a really good sack, but in slow motion it was pretty obvious. There were some bad calls in that game, as the video reviews demonstrated, but that was actually an exceptional call by the ref. Not that I agree with the rule.

Unless its our guy.
