Don't know if Martinez is injured or not, but I'm telling you, he's going to have one hell of a battle on his hands to keep his starting job next year.

    McCaffrey is the real deal.

Well, Martinez isn't very good. Not this year anyway. He's not accurate enough, and can't read defenses. Kind of a problem

People have issues when they Tweet such negativity at players. Seriously, get your s#!t together. Am I happy with this season? Hell no. Would I ever Tweet a player? Also, hell no.

I'm interested to see if the offense can build off last week's performance against a really good defense. Maybe those yards will finally be converted into points. The players, coaches, and fans need this game. GBR

  3. Yards don't impress me much if points don't follow. Nebraska has been pretty good between the 20s this year. Not so good at actually scoring. With two games to go, maybe the scoreboard will finally start lighting up.

What's weirder is that this out-of-position, big cushion, easily exploited, no-adjustments defense  has been practiced by the last three coaching staffs.

I think they have all shared notes

Adrian’s screen passes have left a lot to be desired this year.  That needs to be a priority in the offseason.

Yeah, which is really important as all teams should have it in their arsenal.

The best screen play I have seen for a loooooong time was thrown by McCaffrey. No , I'm not saying he should be the starter.

  6. When there were five games left, I predicted Nebraska would go 1-4. The one win being against Maryland. I still think they beat Maryland. Will it be pretty? Based on how the Huskers have played this year, no, but it will be one step closer to a bowl game.

Is there a metric out there that measures strength of schedule after the season? I'd definitely be interested in that. We thought Ohio State was beatable in our house, didn't think Minnesota would be who they are, and Indiana being better.

The one I look at shows we are currently 66th in SOS

Per Sagarin, Nebraska is showing a current strength of schedule that is ranked 39th.

It's probably been discussed, but it seems like Jurgens snaps are getting much, much better. Probably 3/4 are on the money. I didn't notice Martinez jumping as much to go get them. Has anyone been watching his actual blocking? With three years left in the program and the fundamentals starting to lock in, maybe he will become as good as they think?

His blocking has been good. Probably one of the better linemen from what I have seen.

  9. Yeah, I wouldn't call a 16 point loss a "close" game. Nebraska's offense definitely surprised me by moving the ball against a great defense, but they failed in the only offensive category that matters.
