  1. As much as people yap about Diaz and the Height issue, what this team really needs is that one guy that can consistently make a basket when the rest of the team takes their usual five minutes without a point run.

Bingo! But thats what makes his height key, since its easier to get a basket within 8 feet of the basket than it is where we normally shoot from.

  2. A must win with Gay U coming to town on Wednesday

    :cheers:cheers

Couldn't agree more, especially with the Gay U part. However, they are beatable this year, but we can talk about that after this game.

OSU needs to be slowed down, they avg 90+ points a game. The game plan should be similar to what we did against Mizzou, but at least there won't be a big height disadvantage since OSU is the 2nd shortest team in the Big 12.

I'm excited, I'll be at the game.

  3. Bo runs by my house in the North Bottoms everyday...

Do you want a cookie? j/k

Nope, thanks though. I was saying it in a manner to poke fun at the original poster.

that's polite. A HS kid obviously, make fun of him. Really want to find out who the kid being asked to walk on is dont ya?

Well lets see, the poster is from Millard, and Ty Kildow is from Millard South...so I put two and two together. Also he's in high school, I think he can handle a joke.

  4. On rivals they mention that another target and visitor is going to be in Lincoln this weekend with Eric Martin. Does anyone know who they are talking about?

I talked to Ted Gilmore today at the Get Rec'd event, and I asked him a little about recruiting. He said they are happy where they are and that he has a couple of trips left in the next week. So sounds like a strong finish to me.

    Also I got Henery's autograph....so I feel special.

And for any you in Lincoln Suh is going to be there at 3:30

  5. Blake Griffin moved up to #2 on my list of college bball players that I dislike the most.

I was just glad the game was on TV here. Unfortunately it was one espnU, which made me want to vomit every 15 seconds.

:yeah He is 2 on my list as well. I can't stand hansbrough though (I know, clever rhyming)

I like where your head's at. Handsblow is my #1 as well. He got jacked in the mouth tonight. Had to wear a mouthpiece to keep his tooth from falling out.

I wish more of the games were on tv here. Do they ever show them on NETV??

Why don't you guys like Psycho-T. I think he is a stud, and for him to come back for his senior year is awesome. Griffin is kind of cocky, but he is really fun to watch. If Doc ever gets talent like either one of these two watch out.

I don't get the hatred either. I've always enjoyed how he can still make shots with the contact he gets...I've heard people say he complains too much, but he gets pounded inside. And how can you not like a player that got elbowed in the face, broke his nose and came back no more than 10 minutes later with a mask on?

  6. I really do like where Doc is taking this team...hard nosed defense wins games, just look at Wisconsin.

We just really really need to put together two solid halves. Doesn't help that Anderson went ICE COLD in the 2nd half.

I'm excited for Niemann, Diaz, Bear, and all them to play next year...and hopefully McCray gets it going, he was playing better tonight.

Nebrasketball is getting there, just need another solid recruiting class.

And I think more people would post in the basketball forum if it wasn't buried on the main page, maybe the Mods could rearrange it so its more noticeable?

  7. Should be interesting game...the guys on 1400 in Lincoln said it best about this Husker BBall team...they could end up beating anybody and no one would be surprised, but also lose to anybody and wouldn't be surprised.

If they take good shots tonight, working the shot clock down and continue to play their stellar defense we have a shot in this game. We just can absolutely not have another Iowa St. shooting performance!

  8. I couldn't watch the game, live in NY, but was following the game score on ESPN. I was all excited with about 2 minutes to play. I get up and go in the kitchen for a minute and refresh the score and go WTF!?!!?!?!? How the heck do you play a team that well and tough up to the final 2 minutes and then give up 10 unanswered? I didn't see it so if anyone who did could clue me in I would appreciate it. I was pretty high on this team after watching the Mizzou game on ESPN the other day, now I don't know what to think other than STREAKY.

After they cut it to two, an Iowa St player threw up a 3 and it went down, kind of a if this goes down its not your night shot...then Sek tried to drive the baseline with a little contact, didn't get the call and stepped out. Brackens got an easy deuce on the next possesion, then I think Haluska hit another 3 at some point.

Just some big mental lapses at a point in the game where you cannot have them.

  9. Always one horrible half...they have to not go through stretches of poor shooting/not scoring.

Sek played awful tonight on both sides of the ball, but the rest of the team did not shoot well at all.

Overall, a game we should've won, and we'll get it back in Lincoln. :w00t

  10. this team is so bipolar its unreal...sitting on the lead in the second half wasn't smart, since they waited too long to get any offense going and ended up taking rushed bad shots. Keep doing what is working until at least 8 minutes left, then start to kill the clock.

Nonetheless, I am very pleased with the W.

  11. The 1984 Orange Bowl is amazing. Tom Osborne is still a football god for going for the tie instead of the win. Shows he wanted to win the National Championship the right way.

do you mean go for the win instead of the tie?
