  1. How about instead of making up our inability to beat a team on some sort of curse or jinx, we just get dadgum better at the stinking game?

Solich curse, Texas Curse, and now Wiscy curse? You flipping kidding me? These aren't curses? These are the results of inept coaching staffs incapable of preparing their players for what it takes to win.

Not tracking you.  The recruit rankings show that NU has been doing better than most in the B1G.......You don't buy we've recruited better or that they continually beat us?

More like recruiting rankings are simply numbers that no one understands. I think the further you get from the top, the more meaningless they become. It reminds me of credit score. You can draw some meaning from the numbers, but if you start to make comparisons and rank people by their "recruiter score", you're going to realize that outside of the top and bottom percentiles, it's very difficult to make any correlation.

I was all on board with Frost becoming our next head coach until he made an account on huskerboard and started referring to himself in the 3rd person.

We don't need that kind of arrogance and narcissism in our humble, blue collar state!

I realize this is a joke, but I can say I've personally met Scott Frost. Me and some former teammates met him working out at the stadium. He approached us, said hi, shook all our hands. We were all little school girls meeting this legend.

You couple that with his success as a coordinator, his passion for the game, and his Nebraska ties. If the only thing Mike Riley has going for him is being nice, than we can't do any worse with Scott Frost...

  4. Welp, let's plot it out:

If Mike Riley manages to somehow win out, then nope. He's not done. We'd still need Wisconsin to drop a game in order to make it to Indy, which I think is actually somehow less likely than us winning out.

I'd say overall odds of the above happening being <<<.1%

All other roads, in my opinion, lead to Mike Riley's firing, except  for  possibly winning 5 out of the next 6, playing in the mediocre bowl, and beating a formidable mediocre opponent.

So with that, I put odds of a 2018 season with Mike Riley at the helm being pretty contingent on a miracle.

Mike Riley will need to fire Langs in order to survive another season. That I promise you.

Also, our clock management continues to be HORRIBLE.

If you're going to run an offensive play with six seconds left in the half from that field position - which is a pretty risky decision to begin with - the ONLY  thing you do is throw it into the end zone.  There is literally NOTING good that can happen from doing anything else.

We were lucky that Ozigbo went out of bounds by accident because he wasn't going out on purpose.  Not that those three points mattered but they could have.

No kidding. When the announcer said "You can't run a play in 6 seconds".. I'm thinking bulls#!t. You run a post to the front pylon of the endzone. Put the ball where only our guy can get it. 3-4 seconds tops. Nope. That's not the play they ran...

Fair enough. You're of course free to make your own decisions about the things you care about and pay attention to. It's my opinion that the amount of wins and losses is a stupid thing to base that decision off of.

Have you been watching Husker football for the last 20 years? Has nothing to do with wins and losses and everything to do with our games not being enjoyable to watch. As far as I remember Nebraska's identity was Power football with a mobile, dual-threat QB. We haven't held that identity since Eric Crouch.

So I'm basing my decision on the fact that, for as long as I can remember now, we've seemed to run an offensive scheme that involves chucking the ball downfield on 1st and 10 nearly every drive.

I'm not asking for you to miss me. I'm just venting.

I mean at least you're honest, but it's kind of silly to me that you think you being a fan has any impact on the team's performance. I'd wager that 100% of them have no idea who you are.

It would be extremely silly to think that. But I devote a lot of energy to Husker football every year, and diverting it elsewhere would probably be good for me. Has nothing to do with the impact it has on the team(although if enough people do the same, you betcha the university going to start feeling it in the pocketbooks)...

  8. I'm not even watching the game next weekend. I don't support this staff. What a way to honor the 97 team. "Hey guys, remember that thing you guys did, and your predecessors did. You know, that power-running, run the ball down their throats while they simply just took it style of offense?...Come watch Wisconsin embarrass your alma mater by doing just that!"

Langs is a joke and Mike Riley is the reason he's here in the first place. Bring on Scott Frost!

the people that don't expect Wisconsin to make any plays are completely unrealistic. They're a top 10 team for God's sake!

    This is true

Wisky's gonna come back to that quick out and burn us on it later on.

He read the corner blitz. It was more unlucky than anything
