My thoughts...

SE had the wheels turning long ago. His business with sweater vest is wrapped up! Tressel flew in on Sunday...singed some papers, shake some hands kissed some babies and left town. The great sock said they were still nailing down some details. Maybe those details are not with Tressel but with Frost.

I would guess things would be a little more complicated with his contract/job duties/expectations/bonuses/salary and the University of Oregon.

Oregon will probably be playing in the National Championship...that's something to consider for both sides(Oregon and Frost)and the timeline.

The sock puppet has been a reliable conduit of interesting tidbits and insider knowledge thus far.

He sorts through the B.S and has been spot on with the information he chooses to release.

I would assume at this point in the game he knows who he can trust.

Currently everything has been pretty much spot on.

Last night we was 75% sure Tressel was "N"

I am holding out hope for the sweater vest....or at least until the sock puppet says differently.

At this point in time he is the only reliable source I would believe on this board.

I would guess everything is being wrapped up and they want it tight lipped for obvious reasons until they make the announcement. And Shawn and the new hire are currently the only two that know when that will be.

IMO sock puppet has already given us all the news...what else is there for him to report? His insider has

reported all he knows. The wheels are in motion and we are just waiting for Shawn to announce a press

conference. This is all speculation of course.

I am now convinced seal team 6 is involved in this coaching search one way or another. No Joke!

There's been a few claims of Tressel being spotted in or around Lincoln yesterday.
My question....
With all the press coming out of Lincoln and Husker fanatics "stalkers" lurking around every corner with camera phones why no pictures?
No pictures, no autographs, nobody that had an actual conversation with the guy, no pictures of the plane, was nobody else on that plane? No airport staff talking about seeing him....etc.
A lot of different sources claim to have spotted sweater vest but I've currently seen zero physical evidence he was actually here.
I am pulling for it to be true but I'd love to see a lot more smoke right now.
It's like seal team 6 escorted him in and out of Lincoln or something.

I am still banking on sock puppet's info.

But everything I am reading and seeing all signs are pointing to No Tressel.

Why would he be in Lincoln yesterday? I do believe he was in town.

Tressel IMO would be the splash hire we need right now.

Comparing resumes to the other names being tossed around...anyone else would seem like a major let down.

I sure hope Barney and Ron are working double time to calm the waters with our current players and recruits.

I could see them being the only two left that could have any impact or voice of reasoning.

In the same breath the longer we wait to announce the longer Barney is in charge. Yikes!

This is a vital and sensitive time for our program...

Not sure why but that gives me an uneasy feeling.

We all know there is a short list already from the names being tossed around.

Who knows the big 10 better than Tressel whether you like him or not...?

With the few names being dropped I believe recruiting, winning immediately and giving us the best shot at a championship is Tressel.

He is respected in the business and IMO could settle the waters quicker than anyone.

We lost 3 commits already and morale amongst the players is lower today than when we got curbed stomped by whisky.

Well, The Sock gettin' some conflicting information. Some says that the big $$$ folks with pull not too happy with Tressel and that the HC would likely be "someone else". Not sure that The Sock is qualified to sort this out and both these sources been good to me so I'll just set both ideas out there and you folks can decide.

Good god sock puppet master of all that's holy regarding Husker football.....

Tell me "someone else" is as good or better option as Tressel.

This needs to be a huge hire to save face, recruits and hope.

This hire needs to squash any doubt or uncertainty about whether this was a good move or not.

I don't know about The Sock Puppet, but a little birdie told me that Tressel will NOT be our next head coach...

So is Tressel a fantasy pick or is there smoke?

Does it seem possible, or even probable that the way Eichorst is going about this is that Bo is on his list of potential coaches next year. By this I mean, he has a list of 3 or 4 coaches he would fire Bo to hire. But if he pursues those options to no avail, then he retains Bo. This could be a reason why there hasn't been a statement or support or a firing yet.

Holy Bob Devaney's ghost! I hope that's not the case. The feelers should've been out last year already. Hopefully they've had a short list of "realistic" candidates they know NU can buy. At the end of the day it boils down to "show me the money"

Well hopefully Shawn has been doing his homework while the boosters have been saving up their pennies.

At this point in time I don't think anyone knows 100% what's going to happen.

Otherwise somebody would put all this speculation to bed.

This isn't good news until I hear who the new man in charge will be.

I'd have to think making this type of decision they'd have to have a damn good candidate lined up.

This new guy will have to be proven, confident and would have to be a little crazy to be up for this challenge.

Can he coach, delegate, can he recruit, can he lead us to the promise land?

Because at this point the fan expectations are boiling over and the coaching seat at Nebraska is always going to be hot!! Unless you win championships. Good luck Shawn Eichorst....you're going to need it.

Things will be changing soon. Bo will be fired this weekend, most likely tomorrow.

And the info about Caputo developing the game plans to block/run....? I am sorry I just don't buy it for a second.

This makes zero sense on every level....especially to the assistants getting paid good money for what?

That would be grounds that Bo has lost his mind or just helping his cause to get canned.

If we pull it together, beat Minnesota, Iowa,and win a bowl game all will be forgiven and Bo will be back! It will take more than getting beat by a very good team, in their house (no matter how embarrassing ) to cost Pellini his job. Its natural for us all to be pissed about Saturday. but there are more games to be played .Lets see how that goes first.

That's a big "IF" my Big Red friend. Plus husker fans are fed up with the product we've had to witness over the last 7 years. IMO Saturday was the final blow for a lot of us that were clinging or wishing things could've been different. But reality has set in and people are PISSED! Which they have ever right to be. Bo knows! & deserves time to update his resume and start shopping for a high profile defensive coordinator position.

Knowing our luck we will see him again down the road. (if he doesn't go back to the NFL)

At the end of the day one thing is certain...Bo is not going to change.

We could lose 5 games this year and everything next season would stay status quo.

Bo will be the head coach, Beck and Papuchis will still be coaching the O and D.

I like Bo but he is stubborn, set in his ways and maybe a little too loyal.

I hope Bo can slay that dragon (at this point a Big 10 Championship) before he falls on his own sword.

My AR-15 has the old style RE nut.

It has the 3 holes instead of the square slots.

My issue is finding the old wrench to take it off.

You can find them but they are pricey.

My plan is once I remove it to replace it.

Anyone else have this problem, any suggestions or ideas would be much appreciated.
