  1. I am nervous before every game because you don't know what team is going to show up. And the repeat mistakes don't help matters either. I get nervous every punt return and kick off. Always seems the team as a whole doesn't consistently fire on all cylinders. Every game is a dog fight which is fine by me (as long as we win) What I can do without is this team waiting till the 4th qt to get warmed up.

Come on Bo! Give the speech about "putting the N underneath their chin" .... that speech fires me up and I couldn't fight my way out of a wet paper bag.

    :bonez

  2. If possible I would love to see Rex back. But it concerns me that after the load he carried last year he might not ever be 100% healthy. Wishing the best for Rex...either way he did his deed for this team.

Just because he's losing his hair doesn't make him 30

Did I hit a soft spot huskerhill? I was talking about the beating his knees and ankles must have endured over the last couple of years with his high number of carries. He carried this team on his back...has nothing to do with his age.

  3. Apologize to you Knapplc I know you are a 100

Is this another age reference? eyeswear2allthatsholy

Nope! Just me being a smartass. At the end of the day I do respect everyone one this board. It's all in good fun so if you really are a grumpy old man I apologize. At the end of the day we are all on this board because we are passionate and agree on one thing....Go Big Red!!!!

    :D

  4. Saw this on another site and thought it would be good here.. since we have some staunch Obama backers.

    http://economywatch....atest-week?lite

By NBC News staff and wire reports

The number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits leapt to the highest level in four months in the latest week, erasing the large drop reported last week and then some.

    further down we see this..

Last week, California reported a large drop in applications, pushing down the overall figure to the lowest since February 2008. This week, it reported a significant increase as it processed applications delayed from the previous week.

coincidence California delayed them until after the debates?

I find it truly hilarious how the narrative changes.

Good stuff. Thank you un-biased non-Romney backer huskerXman.

And you wonder why no one wants to debate you. respond to the comment, you don't need to attack the poster.

Agree Ziggy...I learned it's not worth it. Some of these cats are out of touch with reality. Truth is...you can pick them out right away. Look at the "attack" response time to any post. They don't work...they sit on Husker Board all day long and troll it. Look at the posters who are always on here with a bunch of time on their hands to dig up "facts" or debunk anything they disagree with. We all like to stop by and visit but to actually sit on here all day long and attack every not left wing Obama loving poster is just sad.

Apologize to you Knapplc I know you are a 100....but go rake some leaves and take a chill pill folks. At the end of the day we are all going to stand behind whomever is elected. We all cheer for the same Big Red team and want to see this country prosper. Go Big Red and God Bless America...I have to go drum up some work.

  5. This administration is a bunch of finger pointing lets take no blame excuse making acts.

Stand up, take a punch on the chin and lead us in the right direction.

I don't care if you're a Rep or Dem if you're better off today than 4 years ago...vote Obama

Unfortunately I am not and I know I am not alone....time for an audible.

how are you worse off than four years ago and why does obama deserve the blame for that?

Holy Smokes! Are you clueless? I am small business owner. Do you have any idea what's going on? The alarming rate of small business disappearing? People out of work, having to lay friends off, watching family struggle...etc

Who should I blame it on....Knapplc?

  6. Can anyone tell me who pulled the trigger? Who killed the Ambassador? Who was involved in storming the compound?

    Anyone?

    Anyone?

    Bueller?

An American Ambassador is dead on Obama's watch

It's Obama's job to figure out what the hell happened....not Husker Board, Bueller or Big Bird.

They couldn't even get the story and facts straight the day OUR NAVY SEALS took out Bin Laden.

This administration is a bunch of finger pointing lets take no blame excuse making acts.

Stand up, take a punch on the chin and lead us in the right direction.

  7. It is a fact that for two weeks after this, the administration refused to call it a terror attack.

    No, it's not:

The facts: On September 12, the day after the attack that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, Obama said in comments in the Rose Garden that he had learned about the attack on the consulate the night before.

"Our country is only as strong as the character of our people and the service of those both civilian and military who represent us around the globe," he said. "No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done."

On September 13, at a campaign event in Las Vegas, Obama vowed to bring the killers to justice. He then added, "No act of terror will dim the light of the values that we proudly shine on the rest of the world, and no act of violence will shake the resolve of the United States of America."

On September 25, on ABC's "The View," interviewer Joy Behar asked Obama about a remark made by his secretary of state. "I heard Hillary Clinton say it was an act of terrorism. Is it? What do you say?"

To that, Obama responded, "We're still doing an investigation. There's no doubt that (with) the kind of weapons that were used, the ongoing assault, that it wasn't just a mob action. We don't have all the information yet, so we're still gathering it. But what's clear is that around the world there's still a lot of threats out there." Obama added that "extremist militias" were suspected to have been involved.

It's too bad you missed the debate, BRB, because Obama verbally bitch-slapped Romney during this exchange. He allowed Romney to blunder into this mess, encouraged him to proceed, and Romney did. Foolishly. Later, Obama chewed him out on national television while Romney sat on his stool like a fool, pissed that Romney once again is trying to use the murder of an ambassador that Obama is responsible for as a political football.

    You'd have loved it.

    What a vivid imagination.

I need some of that left winged good stuff you've been toking..... :smokin

Romney/Political football....? Yes...the matter has not been resolved.

Obama and his team lied...they knew what happened and tried to cover it up.

    An American Ambassador is DEAD!

Now just a bunch of finger pointing and shoulder shrugging

Why wouldn't Romney use that as ammo.

    Figure it out people....

  8. You said all the R's are going to vote for Romney.

I think you're thinking of someone else. I didn't say this.

"I mean, why not? He's got an R behind his name, right?"

"I mean, why not? He's got an R behind his name, right?" negated.gif"all the R's are going to vote for Romney."

All the D's will vote for Obama....what's your point?

    Vote for whomever you wish

Romney will sweep Nebraska...I can promise you that

    But it's anybodys game

    vote away!

  9. f#*k it, why not support Romney?

That could not be a more clear, concise reason for why people are supporting Cain Bachmann Perry Gingrich Huntsman Romney.

I mean, why not? He's got an R behind his name, right?

Let's go, MITT! Let's go, MITT! Let's go, MITT!

    Easy Buddy....you need a Zanax?

  10. Amen Brotha!!! You don't need to explain yourself to anyone. Think of this country's future and everything that has been sacrificed for it. Follow your gut and vote for the best man you think can get the job started....this is your future, your children's future. I love this country and for any of you servicemen or women who might read this I just want to say Thank You!!!! (past and present)

  11. This current regime blows....vote for Romney and be a part of helping punch the winning ticket.

I can not stand finger pointers...stop blaming sh#t on Bush and just fix it.

TO didn't step into the situation at UNL and point fingers and cry...he stepped in and fixed it.

Of course not the same situation but still respect a man who takes the bull by the horns...no matter who or what that bull may be.

  12. Most will agree that Bo is one of the best defensive minded coaches in the business. There is a lot of talented defensive coaches that would love to learn and grow here. When somthing like this happens I bet Bo doesn't have to look very far. The next morning his message light was probably blinking with 30 new messages and his email inbox was ready to implode. I doubt Bo is worried so why should we. Nebraska will be alright under Pelini's watch. Best of luck to Corey Raymond.

  13. We all know that Rex will get the majority of the carries next season.

He is a warrior and wants to be in on every play.

He is going to pound it until his ankles implode.

And the coaches & players know better....You don't tug on supermans cape.

  14. Huge Loss!!! A chance to beat a good SEC team on national tv with future stud athletes sitting on the couch watching that game.....huge loss!!

You can't look at all the "what ifs" just the facts. Facts are we were out coached, out played and out preformed in that game. Facts are at times it looked like Larry, Curly and Moe running around with red N's on their helmets....huge loss in the recruiting front and making a statement on national tv.

  15. Nothing special about this team except our storied past. We have more components on this team that are below par starting with the coaching staff. Fundamentals....protecting the ball, catching the ball, burning underused red shirts, protecting the end zone against a play that every man, woman and child watching the game knew was coming. And all those penalties? It's the last game of the season not the first....inexcusable! I am not turning my back on this team but I am not going to Al Bundy around and drink the warm sugar free koolade and act like everything is ok.

Everything is great! If you are content with a Joe Shmoe program.

I live in a Colorado and travel around for work. And when I tell people that i am from Nebraska the response is usually "oh! You guys used to be really good in football" that is the average outside perception of this program.

Huge fan but discouraged, disappointed and grasping tightly to the slipping pride of this past season. Looking forward to the 2012 Husker football season and erasing the words "used to be" out of any conversations regarding Nebraska football. Go big red!!! Get your Sheet together.

  16. Nothing else matters except perception... Once that reputation is gone you have to rebuild it. We are losing ground....this team is nothing more than an average program and nothing more. We don't suck but we're no bueno. This team is at least 5+ years away from playing for a NC and that is a fact jack. Anybody that would disagree I would be open to a gentlemens bet. I don't care what you say or think this is the university of Nebraska...how long can we make excuses for these piss poor performances. If i had to bet 5k on NU vs UCLA matchup? I would take UCLA....no joke!!!!!!
