Brooke Berringer. I have a friend whose son was seriously sick with cancer. His father called the U and asked if there was anyone who could come visit him at the hospital from the football team .Brooke came over and visited him many times just sitting and talking with him and brought him a jersey and a autographed football. He was a great example of what a husker should be. The young man beat his cancer and misses Brooke to this day.

Sometimes a look back is in order.Remember when they( fair weather fans) wanted T.O. gone? He couldnt beat OU ,couldnt win a bowl game.Then late in his tenure as NU head coach went on a incredible 60-3 run.

And a 9 win season doesnt sound so bad anymore does it?

Will that happen with Bo? who knows? its a rare blend of chemistry,talent,athletic ability and LUCK.We will get some beatings thats a guarantee but I for one believe that someday we will see a husker team that we will compare to the teams of old.

Iowa fans don't seem to demand too much out of their high paid coach. Ferentz's teams have always seemed just mediocre. They have quality wins here and there, but then there's always the surprise loss to ISU, or Purdue or some other unexpected team.

 

I don't envision Michigan fans really being happy that Ferentz's name is being mentioned.

Look how long they put up with Hayden Frye who had Bill Snyder as an assistant who in turn got the exact same amount of national championships as Frye did.

When Solich was fired, the fanbase seemed divided on whether or not it should have happened.

 

Now that most signs point to Pelini being our next coach, I was wondering if we're divided on this too.
