Thanks for breaking it down. I had been wondering how the LB situation got to this point, since it felt like yesterday where the LB corps was burgeoning with promising young talent. The last eight DE recruits...Gregory was a star and Keels another JUCO, but how much did will we get out of the other six? That seems like the result of 2011 recruiting at the position, but then it's compounded. Because now the numbers are flush, less scholarships for the '15 class for the position, but a whole bunch of guys in the same years. Gotta have a few guys really step up out of this group (and Daishon). The consultant firm thing, I had never heard that before.
I remember it from when it happened but really can't remember the specifics of why he hired the firm.

Foot... ball... tree... outs. What the hell's a tree-out?

I tried watching it but only made it through half a season and it sucked. Does it get better after that?

Rumor of Newell moving outside also.

He actually was a commit. Confusing tweet.

I am a person that routinely questions authority because in my career I am the authority to a lot of people and I need to ask the questions before they do.
This situation on the board is not one that I would even consider questioning. We all know that some of these posters could be volatile and have short tempers. In fact, many of the same posters that are now questioning the motives, etc. of the admins/mods were calling for some of the banned members to be banned just two months ago. Some of you guys are just questioning authority to question it.
Admins/mods you guys do a good job and run the best board around. You also definitely appear to have handled this situation the correct way. No one needed this thread to confirm that, it's all part of questioning authority.
Thank you guys for keeping this free and open. My wife hates you for it but I am greatful.

Best of luck to him. Kyle Whittingham is one hell of a coach. Matty, please do not post any "info" you get from Huskermax on here anymore.
Agreed! Any legit info they get comes from here!

Agreed. Looks more like a kicker.Needs some serious weight put on though IMO. Regardless, welcome to Nebraska.

That will make a lot of quality gifs in the immediate future!

The old bull,
It doesn't matter who plays halftime as long as it's good old rock and roll. f'ing pop music!? You kidding me?! (Directed at msn)

Mods aren't bad here at all.
I know which board and which mod you're talking about. He's an egotistical control freak on that site, can't have an opinion different from his or ban Hammer! Plus he gets all of his recruiting info from our recruiting specialists here, frequent visitor, even has an account here.
Main thing here is don't attack the poster and don't post bewbs!

Extremely quick/fast snap. Extremely undersized.
Bigtime reach.

The old bull, I think you are the leader among people starting topics lately! Congrats man!

Utah was in the Mountain West then. Yes, it's not a Power 5 conference but going undefeated for a full year is nothing to down play.
But the talent level is the difference!
Patterson is good no doubt but Urban is a little better.
Just saying. Guys good, sure, but best in the country? Not sure why everyone seems to think Meyer is the best coach in the country?
My uncle joe with a bum leg could coach all that talent to 10+ wins.
lol what is this nonsense
Gary Patterson says hello!
The best coaches in the country don't need 5 star talent across the board to be "the best coach in the country"!
Patterson is 132-45 in his career. All at TCU
Meyer is 141-26 in his career. Split between Utah, Florida and tOSU.
Patterson started at TCU in 2000 and Meyer started at Utah in 2001.
Meyer started Utah in 2003 and left in 2004. The WAC. And the Utes have largely held onto their success since.
Basically, record is not the whole story.
I don't know how people can say Meyer isn't a good coach. Part of being a college coach is bringing in the talent, and he has done that. With that talent he has won 2 NC's and is in a 3rd NC game tomorrow. His record speaks for itself.
Not sure where I or anyone else said he is not a good coach? Said he is not the best in the country.

I say predict the score contest! Eh, admin?

We were all thinking it.

Speed is far from the entire story. The difference for Oregon this year, that has pushed them a higher level is physicality to match their speed.
Not saying it's the entire story boss.
Speed is the basis and that's not even debatable.

You Don't need scott frost. It's about the speed for Oregon.
Two schools in the country understand that speed is king (not size) Oregon and tcu. At one point one dr. Tom had the same realization.
