Did anybody else think that Billy C cost us that game. I'm not a person who blames the coaches for losing but that was the first time that I blamed Billy C for a loss. When we did the fake punt on our own 29 yd line in the first period and there were other times when it was 3rd and 1-2 yds to go, Billy boy would call for a passing play.

After we had lost this game I knew that the 07' wasn't going to be a good season because we lost two BIG games at the end of the 06' season. And for Steve Pederson adding on a five year contract after beating Nevada come on, he should've waited till after the USC game to decide that factor.

Any thoughts Husker Fans?

Why do certain Nebraska fans have to make fun of other Nebraska fans...why? I'm not the only one that types fast and doesn't go back to re-read my work. So lay off. I've come to appreciate IBR and some of his inside information was music to my ears..But even besides that..I hate to see anyone get ganged up on..Even when he (IBR) started a thread complaining about people correcting his grammar/spellin'.

The "Circle Jerks that some of us were a part of got to be a little frightening, and might be what scared him off, but I'd much rather read his stuff than read all the petty bickering (and worshipping) that was going on.

 

As much of a fan of Colorado as I am, I still have no desire to lurk on their Boards..I assume they have worser grammar than most of us and I'd pick up more bad habits

Seriously, though..It's a little embarrassing reading some of these masterpieces after bragging to my Wife about my quality Nebraska education when she keeps throwing it in my face that she got her teaching degree from "THE Ohio State University".

 

It might not be fair, but posts filled with bad grammar and even poor Spelling make us look far worse than unsubstantiated posts (If any post can really be backed up). Callahan's going to tell everybody we're a bunch of ignorant hicks after reading this thread...You know it...I know it...But I can't prove it...Yet.

HUSKER37 I total agree 110% with what you have to say but my grammer and reading skills might not be that impressive but my math skills make up for that. Not everybody is perfect with their english skils but are better in certain areas. As far as the IBR news I was glad that he had provided us information but I'm getting sick of all of these BS rumors about coaching changes or Bo sightings....it's just pathetic and stupid. But I miss IBR and I wish that he would explain himself or give us new news. As far as his grammer and misspelled words....that's news too me and I would never make fun of other peoples grammer because I'm no better in that area. Oh I forgot to mention that Mizzo already played OU and it would be nice to see Kansas face OU this year, but thats just me.

As for myself I will be rooting for Kansas for the fact that we got beat 76-39 by Kansas that I would feel better knowing that they'll beat Mizzo and go on to face and maybe beat OU in the Big 12 title game and feel better we got ass raped by the Big 12 champs.

My other reason for why I'm rooting for Kansas is because they've been the laughing stock of the Big 12 north and now it's their turn to shine where Mizzo has been good/decent for the past 4-5 years. I would be great to see Kansas go on to win the Big 12 Campionship game and going up for the NC title game. But thats just me.

Remember back in the 2005 season when we played against Colorado at Boulder and when we beat them 30-3 and all the student fans in the crowd was throwing thrash onto the field. Well I believe that all of the Nebraska football players had 'Restore the Order' shirts on underneath their shoulder pads and they did that as well for the Mighigan bowl game.....what the hell has happened to that saying????

Our players should be doing the very same thing right now....I miss those shirts. I think that these so called Blackshirts should be pulling these t-shirts from out of their closets and wearing these suckers during our next two games. Anybody else think that???

If LSU loses to Alabama then there might be a strong chance that we'll get Bo Pelini after the Colorado game. My reason behind that is if LSU loses they'll be out of the SEC title shot and the NC title shot as well. But thats just my opinion.....and I do remember people saying this exact same thing a few weeks ago.

Paul is a fine coach but I'd much much rather have BO PELINI!

Ya I would rather have Bo Pelini as our Head Coach but if we don't get Bo than I think that Paul is our second best offer.

I started to watch this game about middle of the 3rd quarter and this is all I saw from Navy: Fullback up the middle, option, triple option, toss to the running back, or quarterback keeper. I tell you what, if we don't get Bo Pelini as our head coach don't be surprised to see Paul Johnson as our HC.

If we get Paul as HC we'll be pounding the rock like we've done in previous years and Paul is an amazing coach and the way he celebrated the win was kindof funny but it was a great moment to see Notre Dame lose one of their most precious records. Paul actually gets the fullback involved into the game whether it being a fake dive up the middle, a run up the middle, or a pass 10-15 yards down the field. He keeps the defense guessing and he doesn't really have any great recruits...come on it's Navy so it'll be hard to get great recruits.

I know Paul Johnson's record isn't that impressive this year but with the recruits and players that we've got right now and Ganz as a "Moble" QB for Pauls offense we could be pretty impressive come next year. Tom Osborne will be looking for a HC who runs the option, spread offense, and so forth and Paul will fit Tom's needs. Did anybody else watch this game and let me know that you are thinking the same thing after this Navy game. Keep the faith and GO BIG RED

"Wow! That is a very very good question! That's the best question anybody has asked me. I would just like to say that I'm doing an excellent job and I don't think that the media is seeing it like I am." replies Billy C.

Can I say that this lost is by far worst than getting beat by Colorado in 01' and by Texas Tech in 04' mainly because we've beaten KU for 36 straight years and it had to come in 05' when we lost to them and now THIS!!!

In 1986 we beat KU 70-0 but this hurts worse because KU beat us 76-39. That is not suppose to happen to us and especially by KU, I mean nothing against KU but it's KU nuff said. Both the coaching staff and the players have given up and come game time against K-State, IMO I don't think the seniors will even be pumped up for this game.

We will not win another football game this year and that bye week after next weeks game won't even help us beat Colorado. I haven't been a fan about firing Billy C during the season but after this performance this Husker team is a disgrace to the state of Nebraska and to the die-hard fans. I'm glad that I was working while this game was going on because I would've been watching a different game while KU was making NU their b****. I've given up on this Nebraska Team and I'm already looking forward to watching the rest of the NU volleyball game and then it's on to baseball. I hate to say this but Billy C needs to go this week for his performance and his douchebag of a friend Coz needs to go as well. Have Shawn Watson call the plays, he seems to be doing a better job than BC. This is just ridiculous on how these players are playing day in and day out.

The only good thing going for Husker fans this fall is that Dr. Tom Osborne himself is back and deer season period. I won't be listening to the NU vs K-State game for the fact that rifle season starts next saturday and I don't know if I can even watch the Colorado game.

As a die-hard fan i'll still wear my husker apparel to show my support but it'll be hard to hide from other fans from different schools laughing at me. Keep up the faith and support but it won't be easy to watch these next two games. GO BIG RED

If we beat KU we won't even get a foot near that goal post reason being that all of our fans in the stands will all suffer from a heart attack.

Which Quarterback is better than the other one and I know Keller only had one year to prove himself but still, who do you think is a better quarterback, Sam Keller or Zac Taylor?

I will have to admit that Zac Taylor is by far my favorite QB to ever play for Nebraska. I know most of you are thinking "What? You liked Zac more than Gill, Frazier, Berringer, Tagge, and Crouch?" Well yes I do like Zac more than those other QB's for the fact IMO that Zac was kindof rebuilding a quarterbacks position in a different direction of a WCO and trying to rebuild the Huskers back to a winning season.

At first I was impressed by Sam Kellers performance but as the weeks went on he wasn't so hot anymore and this year he's only had 2 games, 3 at the most where he's done an excellent job. He hasn't really proven much for the fact that he averages about 2 INTS a game and when he gets pressured he trys to make a play from nothing into something. He just doesn't know how to react under pressure.

My reasonings for why I like Zac Taylor more than Keller is that he's actually brought Nebraska back into the game when they were behind. For example in 2005 he was a huge factor in the ISU game, Texas Tech, OU, K-State and most important a come back behind win over Michigan in the bowl game. In 2006 games such as Kansas, Texas, Texas A&M, Colorado (Remember when he was walking back to the sideline like he was going to call a timeout and they snapped it to Green for a first down), and Auburn in the bowl game. Zac knew this offense quite well and he knew what to do with the football and boy did he have a cannon of an arm. I just wished that we had Zac Taylor back again this year and I bet you all of my Husker merchandise that we would be at least 10-2 this year maybe even 11-1. We probably would've had a better shot at USC in Lincoln if Taylor was our QB.

Zac Taylor will take a licking and he'll get right back up and it was shown alot during the Michigan bowl game and thats when I had a lot of respect for the guy. Nothing against Keller, it's just he wasn't smart with the football. Zac Taylor gets my vote between these two QB's. Thank you all and GO BIG RED!!!

Joel Makovicka is by far......BY FAR my favorite Nebraska Football player to ever play the game. I would sh*t my pants if I could ever meet this guy. My number back in high school was 45 because of Joel and i've seen him play a few times back in the day. I would always tell my mom to take pictures of Joel when they would go to a NU game. I can't wait till Justin is done with Nebraska so i can order my #45 Nebraska jersey with Makovicka on the back of it. Nothing against Justin it's just a NCAA rule where you can't get a jersey with a current player is on that team during that year and guess what Justin is number 45 and his last name is Makovicka.

To Raw1, yes i'm young but not that young and I haven't heard of that other anouncer that you had mentioned. My uncles did mention some guys name from their childhood and they told me that he was a Nebraskian and made everybody want to listen to the guy on every Saturday.
