I don't know about you guys but I love listening to this guy broadcast reason being that he gets you into the game and he's so fired up about the game. My two uncles don't really care for the guy because you can't till which team he's cheering for because he gets excited on big plays for both teams. I get goosebumps when i listen to this guy when he gets really into the game and when Nebraska pulls off a great play. But it'll be interesting to see what other fans think of him. GO BIG RED

Nebraska should be showing Kansas some respect this year but Kansas has a long ways to go and they should be respecting us for who we've been for years. But IMO Kansas will probably beat us on Saturday but it'll be closer than what people expect. GO BIG RED

Ok so Kansas is good this year but our Defensive Coach is a freakin moron and if you watched the Texas vs Nebraska our Defense played their best from the previous games. And as far as the Big 12 Champs i'm not sure on that because you guys still have to play against Mizzo. And when we get a better coach who knows what the hell Nebraska football is all about we'll be topping Kansas every year. But good luck to Kansas in their remainding games because it's good to see Kansas do good in something other than Basketball.

No that wouldn't make sense to do a trick play. It makes sense though to do a trick play in a bowl game while it's in the first quarter to do a fake punt on your own 30 yard line......oh wait we did that last year against Auburn

We are not going to win another game....i'm sorry to say it as well. We have three very tough games left and if we can't play four quarters with Texas than we will not play all four quarters with our next 3 games. Now if we would've beat Texas than my decission on this would be different but it didn't happen. Kansas and Colorado will be tough road games but we might have a shot at K-State.

Why is everybody all over Turner Gill like he just won a freakin National Championship. He's not a great coach, and yes I do know that he's actually turning the program around for Buffalo but still look at what teams he's beat: Temple, Akron, Ohio, and Toledo....who that's impressive. I believe that if he came to Nebraska to coach that we'd get the same results this year with Turner Gill as our head coach. Seriously no top recruit would come to Nebraska under what TG has accomplished. Don't get me wrong but Turner Gill was a hell of a QB but he as not proven anything yet. The players don't really talk highly of him like the players do for Bo Pelini. If we do get at least Bo Pelini or Paul Johnson I believe that these two could turn this program around from what they've acomplished in their football career.

I think if TG gets a HC job here at Nebraska he has to prove himself more as a HC. He needs more experience to help rebuild this program where Bo Pelini has proven that he can go anywhere and turn a program around with the players that are provided for him. And for Paul he's done an excellent job at Navy NAVY and he runs the triple option flexone offense and it's hard for him to recruit players to play for NAVY but can still pull wins out of his a$$.

We were up 17-3 and we let them come back to beat us 25-28.....that's terrible....I'm so pissed right now that i don't even want to watch the rest of the season. Our lead was huge and we give it up. I'm proud of how our players played on defense but at the same time i'm also disappointed. This just frustrates myself and other husker fans out there. Nothing against Texas but we had this game if we would've played better on Offense. FIRE Call-poon this week.....this is terrible Nebraska football and guess what....in 1961 was the last time we lost four games in a row.....Callahan you just keep on racking up those records that we don't want don't ya.

Dude I to ref a 8-man football game and on the oppossing side there stood Bo Pelini out in the middle of nowhere in Whiting, IA. I'm like "Wow, that's Bo Pelini and what is he doing in Iowa? Oh da he doesn't have a game this weekend and must of had dinner with TO and just wants to wonder around in the area". We talked before the game and during halftime and we had to ask the guy.....are you going to be a husker and he told us "It's already a done deal!" Thanks Bo for this inside info.....you da man.

He's a Douchebag enough said. I know this is an old video but everytime I watch it.......he makes Callahan look like a stud. And Look how Lou is backing up gods country good ol' Nebraska. That would've been funny if Lou knocked out Kirk on Live Television....i thought he was going to do that when he got off his chair.

Lou is my only favorite broadcasters period. He always defends Nebraska and has always supported Nebraska even if it was a huge debate between him and Kirk. Don't even get me started with Kirk 'The Douchebag' Herbstreit.

Does anybody think that Will Shields would be a hell of an offensive line coach. I know a lot of people don't like NFL coaches to coach at Nebraska and I would agree to that but with Will Shields with no coaching experience coaching the O-Line would be the smartest thing to do. This guy is an All-American/All Star/Hall of Famer to play that position for 14 years and he played for NEBRASKA. He could teach these guys a few tricks on technique, foot work, posture, and how to block. If we were to get a new Offensive Line coach I would be looking at this guy and I don't care if he hasn't coached before....you have to start somewhere!!!

You know I'm a huge die-hard NEBRASKA fan. I live and breathe Husker Football....it's not only a Nebraska tradition but its my families tradition as well. I just bought a Husker Letterman Jacket last week because I love Nebraska. Geez you should see my room....it's all Nebraska decked out so bad it'll make TO gizz in his pants. Here's what the jacket looks like.

My cousin lives down in Omaha and i've never heard of this station mainly because i live in Sioux City, IA. I like to listen to Kevin and Mike and hear what they have to say and to hear what other fans have to say when they call. One thing though is when I listen to it there's times when I gets fuzzy because I live so far but then there's times that I can hear them and some mexican music in the background 1620 Unsportsmanlike Conduct ROCKS

Ok I know alot of you are getting sick of all of this Head Coaching talk but we really need to be discussing Head Coaches. There have been a lot of people throwing out names but there are really three names that people should be looking at which are 1. Bo Pelini, 2. Paul Johnson, and 3. Jim Grobe. Now by now everybody knows that i'm rooting for Bo but if we don't Bo (even though LSU fans are saying that we've got him next year) I think that Paul Johnson is ten times better than Jim Grobe. I believe Mike on 1620 really like Jim but Kevin doesn't think that he'll be a good fit. After looking at Jim Grobes background with Wake Forest my peter never got hard but after looking at Paul Johnsons resume it was pretty damn good. His previous 5 years are amazing....so in my opinion if we don't get Bo which I think we will (e.g. his picture was on bigredreport.com under recruits and now Simi is coming to NU) I think Paul should be our next choice. Anybody else like Paul Johnson over Jim Grobe and i'm sorry if this is old news and the type of news that's getting old real fast but we need to start talking about HC jobs.

I think of all the idiodic threads on this board, this one might be the dumbest. This is exactly like wife who is beat by her husband blaming herself. Only dumber. How in the living f#*k do you expect to control the drunken emotion of 85,000+ people in a single stadium when their worthless team is getting their asses kicked and is powerless to stop it thanks to an even less-coordinated coaching staff?

EVERY SPORTING EVENT HAS HECKLERS! One or two people coming up and saying some bullsh#t like that to the players is by no means indicitive of the character of our fan base. And I for one am so sick to death of simple-minded jokers like DaveH using a select few idiots on the sidelines as an excuse to tarnish our reputation. How may other colleges applaud an average team that whips our team in our own house? No answer? How many other message boards do you suppose routinely get posts from random Aggie fans expressing how much they enjoyed their time in Lincoln? How many other teams chant "Heisman" for an opposing superstar?

 

Enough is enough. Our situation has as much to do with our fanbase as terrorism does with President Bush. That is to say, none. Our PROBLEM is a useless coaching staff not preparing, training, or developing talented but uninspired players who go out on the field and bear their deficiencies for all the world to see. It's frustrating, yes, and some fans take things too far (and like the booze has nothing to do with that, either), but all in all I feel that we've not demeaned ourselves one iota by expressing our intolerance for this ridiculous charade of a football season.

Where as he been lately???? I haven't heard from him for a good 4-5 days. Did he die???

Why is it everytime when Nebraska loses other college football fans (usually it's Notre Dame, Iowa, Iowa State fans for me) give us a hard time but when we win they don't even acknowledge that. But when their team loses we don't say anything about their team, we just continue on with whatever we're doing during that day. Anybody else have this same problem besides me???

I really really do like Paul Johnson but my heart say's Bo. I like Bo more because he's players will take a bullet for this guy. He's got more motivation and inspiration for the game than any other coach out there besides Muschamp. If we get Bo Pelini as our Head Coach I could really see our football team as the old just dominating on both sides of the ball.

I know that in the past few days every Husker fan out there got sucker punched in the ball sac on decommits but look it at the bright side....we still have some committed lineman. We really need to be more worried about our lineman than anything. Dan Hoch, Baker Steinkuhler, and maybe Trevor Robinson will be a huge impact to our O-line for the future. I know that Blaine and Jones punked out but who can blame them but it's a long way to February. Will still have strong commits from Cameron Meredith, Josh Williams, Will Compton (he might follow Blaine), Sean Fisher, and Bryce Givens (who might be looking elsewhere). We still have some talented youngsters to fill in next year and who knows, maybe our new Head Coach and Dr. Tom could save most of the decommitted guys. Brighter days are come boys.....GO BIG RED!!!!

I am asking for a little insight from people who follow this a little more closely than I do..... I have been extremely busy with my high school team, so I haven't been able to focus on recruiting like I would like to.

 

Wasn't LSU very high on Kuli's list........ I thought that I heard that Kuli had "dropped" NU down his list of potential schools with LSU being more likely than NU.....

 

Then, out of nowhere, when other recruits are dropping like flies, this kid commits to NU....... Does this imply that maybe he was favoring LSU becuase of Bo, and just maybe, Bo gave him a little "insight" on where he may be coaching next year......

You could be onto something. It makes sense cause LSU has a really tough Defense because of Bo and if Bo is coming to Lincoln next year to be a Head Coach could've made Kuli reconsider. Kuli going to Lincoln because of Coz now thats funny!
