Like Callahan said during his press conference "I've done an excellent job in every area! We did some positive things. We have. We haven’t sustained it this year. But you’re in a (Big 12) championship game, in a three-year period of time you come in and implement a whole new offensive system, and in two years time you’re in a championship ballgame " says Billy C.
“There’s a lot of work being done, to put together these recruiting classes, I think it bodes well for what we represent and how hard this staff has worked,” he said. “I got enough confidence in myself and our staff and our players to know we can win. We’re going to win. We’re just going through a tough stretch.”
After reading this I feel so much better about what has happened in the past week and I can breath now knowing that I can make it through this season without drinking everyday!!!!!

For those of you who don't want Bo Pelini for our head coach are saying this over and over "He's got a tember, or why is Nebraska fans more about wins than the coaches attitude on the field or off the field, or he doesn't have experience as a head coach." Ok now lets say we change the bad temper to a positive tember and that Nebraska fans care equally about winning and the coaches attitude on the field and off the field and the coach does have some experience as a head coach......should the name Bill Callahan come to mind. I'm sorry but this coach as a great attitude on the field but doesn't get the players pumped up....hell he doesn't even get them pumped up during the tunnel walk. We care about our wins and our coaches presence and Billy boy shows class on a certain level but overall is a complete dumb ass and He does have experience as a head coach while it lasted at Oakland. So for everybody who say these things about Bo Pelini is pretty much wanting another Bill Callahan...any thoughts about this or am I just totally wrong???

Pelini loves it here and if the money and offer is there, im sure he will accept.
Of course ther will be an interview process, but Bo will prevail.
Wow another smart NU fan arises from somewhere and is one my side.....thank you cornfedhusker55.....you da man!!!!!! And yes he will be on our sidelines next year.

You should seriously get down to Lincoln and see if you can get in front of Tom and explain that people who "right" this stuff are dumb and Bo is the "real deal"...
'Cough Cough Douchebag Cough Cough'. Now with that said do you have any other ideas for Head Coach or are you too busy insulting other people's comments! There's about 1.7 million people in Nebraska and maybe only 10 people don't like Bo.....why??? He's proven quite a bit at OU and LSU.....am I wrong...please tell me if i'm wrong. If we didn't land Bo I would like to see Joe Glenn cause he's done a hell of a job at Wyoming and he's a Nebraskan. So I'll let you have center stage to address everybody on who you would like as head coach.

Junior4949 I'm glad that you enjoyed that....really i was laughing when i read your response. And if they boot me off this oh well i can create another e-mail and so for. I'm a huge Nebraska fan and when we had fan at the Alamo Bowl shaking the stadium with "WE WANT BO" chants then that must turn a switch on or something to indicate that this is the guy...and we lose him to OU and now he's at LSU and guess what.....They're in the top 5.....ummmm i guess that's not good enough for some NU fans.

And there has still been no announcements. None of this has happened. When sh#t goes down at the end of the season differently than what has so widely been speculated by I Bleed Red and others with so called inside info, I will bump all these rumor threads to the top with one response; "guess not." It'll be hilarious.
I think DJR313 is either Bill Callahan or Steve Pederson.....anybody else think this???

If the threads were coach wish lists, then it looks like they all got combined.
I've checked all of the coaching subjects and wish list and it's not in there. I have my Joel Makovicka signature picture on all of my post so it would be hard to miss. Whoever is running this board should send us something in e-mail to notify us of this type of stuff. I expect to see my post since i'm a member!!!!

OK for the past 24 hours i've posted 3 threads and they aren't here any more and i had an average of 15 responses on all three. Is everybody else having this problem too?

To be quite honest I don't think that we should start this guy at all. What has he done with this offense in the past four weeks. I think Ganz has more heart into this offense than Keller and I believe that Ganz could turn things around. Hell Zac Taylor was by far a better QB than Sam Keller.

I guess I'll ask...what has Buddy Wyatt and Shawn Watson done to merit their retention? What has Randy Jordan done to get replaced?
Now you've got to give these two a huge break. Buddy Wyatt for example this is his first year at Nebraska and he's stuck with a rebuilding D-line and he's a great recruiter. Just read some background history on this guy from Alabama and what he's done with Alabamas defense in the past.
Shawn Watson called his first play calling this previous saturday. Shawn Watson is a guy who has a lot of Nebraska fans pointing fingers saying "Hey this guy should be calling the plays not Billy C." Remember Shawn Watson was the guy calling the plays for Colorado when they beat our ass 62-36.

Scott Frost has never coached quarterbacks.
Tuner Gill would not leave a head coaching job to be an assistant here again.
Will Shields has never coached football.
True on the Scott Frost thing but Will Shields come on the guy is a legend in his position. He's an NFL Hall of Famer and he can teach offensive lineman a lot of great tips and techniques.

Ladies and Gentleman, I am proud to annouce our new Head Coach for the 2008 Season............Mr Bo. Pelini. Guys please just give it a break......you hear more about this guy in newletters and sports articles.....every coach that you've guys have been posting about "Oh Nebraska should get this guy" or "No this guy will be the perfect fit for NU." Please Dr. Tom sees Bob Devaney in Bo Pelini so that's why he's looking at getting The Man, The Myth, The Legend Mr. Bo Pelini. Nebraska will be stupid if we let this guy slip through our fingers. And yes i'm Bogasm and you know what I could give a rats ass about it because I see talent and championships in the future with this guy.

About 80% of our husker fans would love to see this guy on our sidelines next year. I'm sick of people down grading this guys passion and temper for the game. He might have had a temper a couple years ago but is he winning games....hell ya he's winning games. Does he get the players motivated for the freakin game.....hell ya he does. Does he come up with a different game plan after after time.....hell ya and he's a freakin genius. He's the right guy for the job......open up your eyes and see that folks. Turner Gill won't be a good choice as HC for the fact that he hasn't done much to prove anything and I can give a rats ass if he was one hell of a QB for NU. From here on out i'll be posting WE WANT BO threads everyday. WE WANT BO....WE WANT BO....WE WANT BO. The signs are there and people in Omaha and Lincoln already have signs and shirts about this guy. HUSKER FAN 4 LIFE.

Just read this whole article i found it at Yahoo Sports and they talk about the the former players on how they were treated like crap and about the husker today and the past three years under Billy C. And at the bottom they were talking about Bo Pelini as being our Head Coach next year and....well just read the article. After reading this article it got me heated and more pissed at Steve Pederson.

I'm loving that idea......STUDENTS STAND UP AND SAY IT ALL TOGETHER "WE WANT BO, WE WANT BO, WE WANT BO." I like that idea. We need our student section to voice their opinons and get more active into the game. BO FOR HC

I know i'm not the only one but I don't think that we'll win the remainding five games. It's obvious because we play Texas A&M this week and they're going to play us out of the water and then we head to Texas and to Kansas the following week. I remember the last time we where at Kansas. They pretty much handed our own asses on a platter. Then we're back for K-State and they are looking really good this year. And then it's CU who will stomp all over us. I'm not trying to be negetive but it's obvious, we had a tough win at Wake and we barely beat Ball State and who can't forget about the past two games. I hate to see it to our very own Husker squad but we'll have to get use to this lossing season and we'll be back next year with a better coach. Still support the team and go to the games, we don't want oh Billy to take away another record that he's made us lose the previous three years, we still hold the consecuative sellout. GO BIG RED

It's sad for me to say this but I don't think that we'll win another game, not the way we've been playing on both sides of the ball. And if you say that we'll win 1-2 games within the next 6 weeks you're lying to yourself and other fans. We have a very very tough schedule remaining ahead of us. Our away games which are Texas, Kansas, and Colorado. And our two home games which is Texas AM and K-State. Please people we will not win another game and Bill's Era is over. Bring Back Bo!!!!

My cousin and uncle along with myself have been talking about make a t-shirt that will read "Bring Bo Back" in white letters on a black t-shirt. Is anybody interested in this t-shirt. It would be neat for the crowd to chant "WE WANT BO" for the remainding two home games. I think that would be funny. If anybody is interested in the t-shirts let me know.

He could put some of the blame onto his decisions during the game and say something like "I've got to prove to you fans that I can win the next four games and that our coaching staff will pull together and we'll pratice more and we'll get more motivated. We've recognize some of our weeknesses and we need to work more on those and we haven't played to our potential." Something like this is better than saying something that is obviously outrageous. But that's just me.
