Brazil broke Trindon Holliday's (one of LSU's fastest ever players) prep mark by running the 55-meter indoor dase in 6.25 seconds.
Holliday ran the nation's fastest times in the 55-meter dash in 2005 and set the mark at 6.27 while competing for Northeast High.

Drake Martinez is not coming this weekend
Any reason?

These are the player that I saw on the field...
- I. Cross
- Z. Anderson
- Aaron Curry
- Charles Jackson
- Avery Moss
Looking forward to seeing them play more as the season goes on.
Didn't see Santos at all....was hoping to see him get some snaps. Maybe because we never left nickel or dime the entire game.
Does anyone know if the FB from Gretna got into the game on special teams?

Hardly an offense worthy of giving up on a kid over.
Agreed. We may not know the whole story, but tweeting about a hangover is far from a big time offense.
An 18 year old publicly stating that he has been drinking shows an incredible lack of intelligence and judgement. I wouldn't trust this kid when he moves out on his own with less supervision. I would rather give a scholarship to a less talented kid that you could at least count on.
Would you give the kid a shot if he were to walk on?
If he really wants to play for Nebraska (and I know a scholarship is more about respect than money to some athletes) he could walk on. He would have instate tuition and his father can afford to pay.
I'm just thinking out loud, but that is one way to earn a spot on the team. We have plenty of walk ons that are starting for Nebraska right now.

Haha...my favorite!

I think he is a pretty soft commit. He's says he will still be taking all 5 of his official visits.
-
Moore was just cleared....2 down and just Afalava to go.
Fingers crossed he will make it!
-
Same school as Sua Cravens.
Haha...just beat me to it.
-
Same school as another player who is a little more well known, Su'a Cravens.
-
Thomas Brown has qualified and will been in Lincoln soon...maybe tomorrow or the next few days.
-
Lastest Rivals article says he is December grad and will have 3 to play 2.

I would take Jonathan Hunt no matter, simply because I dont see Alexander leaving the state of Florida unless it's to Notre Dame. Priest is the #1 CB on our board and there is no one else close to him.
For clarification, you'd take Jonathan Cook no matter? or Dashon Hunt? Not trying to be a d*ck, just want your opinion.
No totally my fault, I would take Jonathan Hunt no matter if all three of the top ones want N.

Didn't give an explanation, but Rivals ranked Johnny Stanton as the 20th out of 25 QBs after Day 2 AM/PM sessions at the Elite 11.

Committed to Auburn.
-
Who do we have left at DT? Vanderdoes is SC bound. I would think DT would be of great need.
Donovan Munger, Toby Johnson, Jay Woods
Also JC Demetrius Campbell.
-
Committed to A&M...
Now that we are full at LB, they are taking all our leftovers. (kidding...sorta).

Will take an official visit to UCLA when it hosts Nebraska on Sept. 8, Arkansas on Sept. 15 when Alabama visits, Cal on Oct. 6 for the UCLA game.
He is also planning OV to Oklahoma and to Nebraska.
No longer visiting Ok. State.
Looks like he will get to watch Nebraska play twice.
and UCLA twice
Hopefully 2 Nebraska wins and 2 UCLA loses....haha.

Look at the bright side, u$c only has 1 spot left for Husker targets such as goodman, mathis and willis.....****
They say they have ~5 slots left.
-
Is a "soft" commit.
States the he will take all 5 official visits...including one to USC, Oklahoma State and Nebraska.
-
States he may commit earlier than planned and not take official visits.
Oregon seems to be the leader and Cal is also in the mix.
They are the two schools that he has visited the most.
-
Favors Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

I'd be curious if his "wavering" is because of issues with Washington or if it is character issues. Any insight? Just don't know what is going on.
He was part of a huge wave of commits that happened during Washington's Big Red Weeked-type deal. My guess is he got caught-up in the visit high and the other guys jumping to commit then got home, calmed-down,and started rethinking things. It's fine to go for the close on visits but it's still a double-edged sword. You increase the commits but also increase the number of guys with second thoughts.
He and Elijah Qualls have stated that they were the ones that organized the big group commitment.

Back to the topic of Johnny Stanton. I feel his commit might open the doors for a few receivers to pull the trigger as well. With Beau Sandland also from Calif and looking for a good home, I'm thinking it might be another reason for him to feel like Huskerland would be a good place to spend 2 years. Possibly a few linemen would also want to play in front of a Qb like Stanton. Not saying it would be a prime reason for coming here but it could play a part.
Is Sandland a JC player? or What makes you think Stanton would feel Huskerland a good place to spend 2 years?
Sandland is a JC TE.
