Word on the HI message board is that Bo will be there too. Not to worry.

Wake Nexus's @$$ up!!!
Coop is getting tired of the whole process. He may not take that last visit...
Obviously FSU will really put the pressure on to get him to come check it out, but if marvin's in home visit goes really well this week...
Go get him, Marvin!!
-
new teaser on rivals about his visit at florida st. anyone have any info???
-
Prater recommitted to USC...so that takes one part of the equation away.
Let's see if Cooper really wants to be a Husker.
That is great great news!
-
So you're saying there is a chance?
But on a serious note we are in trouble with Cooper if Prater chooses ND. I cant believe I am saying this... But I hope he goes to OU or Florida.
-
There will be still be one, right?
The entire defensive staff completed an in-home a couple weeks ago with him. Whether there will be another one is unclear, (the Coopers expected an in-home from Sanders and they got a phone call) but I would assume our coaches are on it. I'm holding out hope. We need to lock this guy up!
Now that Carroll seems to be packing up and heading to Seattle, the Prater situation could throw a wrench in things too.......
-
Update: new details have changed things a bit. Apparently Coopers were expecting an in-home visit but only received a phone call from our staff. Word is they aren't exactly pleased about this. He is now not the "lock" we expected him to be. Apparently is reconsidering the Irish along with Prater....Will announce on signing day. I have a hunch this could get interesting...
Interesting, but HI said that Notre Dame was doing in-home yesterday with Cooper and that Coach Sanders called him yesterday.
My question is, how could've they expected two in-home visits from two separate schools on the same day?
Today an insider over at HI is 99.9% certain that Cooper is a silent commit to Nebraska.
Needless to say, if what you just posted is true, then this should be resolved, and quickly by the NU staff.
It's not clear when the Coopers expected the in-home from Sanders, just that they expected one (instead of a phone call).

Word is that Sanders will be in-home with CC today and that he will be "N" very soon........
You should have clarified that by "in-home" you meant that Cooper will be in-home when he talks to Sanders on the phone.
Funny guy
I was simply relaying the info that was given me stating Sanders was going to be "in-home". Whether that was yesterday or today or next week doesn't really matter does it?? Bottom line, CC's father texted my co-worker that CC was coming. That is the important part.....
-
NO INSIDER INFO ON THIS- But I think he wants to do the hat thing on signing day.
-
Any time table for him to pull the trigger?? I know he said he was going to wait....but the OP makes it sound like maybe tonight or this week...
Not sure exactly on the timetable. Probably just depends on when the family/coaches want it made public. If I get any new info, I'll be sure to post it here.

What's the source for the word that he'll be N very soon? Link?
No link. I work with a Cooper family friend who accompanied CC on his official visit. CC's Dad sent him a text telling him CC is coming and that Marvin was visiting their home today.
Interesting. Well if we don't land Cooper, I'm holding your co-worker personally responsible!
Thanks for the scoop!
So will I!

The reason I posed the question is I have heard the same thing.....that he "has work to do". I hope he makes it! Go Big Red!!

This may have been previously posted, and, if so, I apologize. How is Mr. Heard's academic standing? Is he in good shape to qualify?

Good job big Suh!!
1 down!
Oops. Someone beat me to it.........

Looks like he may be opening up his recruitment due to LSU getting committments from 2 other QBs in this class. Any chance he gives us a look if Pelini dons the Husker red? Looks like a good spread QB!

I am currently a graduate student at the University of Georgia (did Undergrad here as well) and Coach Richt has been the head coach during my entire tenure here. Yeah, we've won two SEC Championship games, been to 2 BCS bowl games, and went to another SEC Championship game, but Richt is not for Nebraska. People here like that Richt wins a lot, but they like even more that he is an outspoken evangelical. The culture in Nebraska is not exactly the same as in the Bible Belt South, therefore, I don't think a lot of his preaching would be work the same on the Husker nation. Second, as much as Richt preaches that he is a father figure to our players and tries to teach Christian values (he refuses to let condoms be handed out to football players) I see a Mo Purify incident in downtown Athens involving football players at least twice a semester (thats only what I see). Richt has little control over his players, probably skills he learned at FSU as a coach and Miami as a player. Third, as much as I love Georgia, we are turning into another pre-2005 Texas. Great talent, little production (hell we've beaten Florida once in Richt's 6 years and this weekend isn't looking much better). Although I see very little chance of Richt leaving UGA for Nebraska, I really just wanted to address why this would be a terrible decision for the Big Red Machine. Richt is consistent, but conisistently above-average, not excellent and the program would be more overrun with thugs than the program that Callahan is in the process of creating.
Tom
Thanks for the insight! Appreciate it

What is sad is I can actually see us winning this game. Excluding last year, where I actually believe we were a very good team (thanks, Zac, Carriker, Bradley, Moore, etc) ---It always seems that we win the games that really don't mean anything. Sure, Texas is a ranked team, but how good are they really?
I mean, they lost to KSU at home. And believe it or not, I believe our talent level is THEORETICALLY much-higher than KSU's. It's just a matter of, well...you know the rest.
I could honestly see us winning this one...just be "positive." And when I say positive, I mean positive in the way that we really never know what team will show up, how the play calling will go, etc., etc.
I'm certainly not going to say we're going to win out...I could just see our team "showing up" this weekend. Just to leave us utterly confused.
:
I hope you are right. I hope the team brings it. To say Texas is taking us serious is laughable.
Heard on the radio the other day that NU is 1-7 against the spread this year. Doesn't bode well for us as the line I've seen is anywhere from 21 to 23. With that being said, Phil Steele has picked us to cover so I guess there is still hope, albeit a glimmer.

Acutally he went home and watched the volleyball game on T.V. And he was going to respond to letters written to him. Sorry, no trip to Austin.
He was headed home to watch Nebraska play Texas in volleyball on television. He also planned to answer some of those letters.
Read that also...Myth Busted!
So much for that connection to the athletic department...
I read that this morning as well. Looks like I'll have to stop getting tidbits of info from him. Embarrassing!
