  1. Was he still "technically" considered a player on NU's roster even during spring?

The reason I ask is this. All the football players (and other sports athletes) are given a little I.D badge that they hang from their backpacks, and Witt has been walking around campus with his still attached (even through spring drills and after).

If he is still technically considered part of the football team (up until this official transfer), then I could see him hanging onto it. But if he knew he was leaving/was officially removed from the roster, seems a little crazy to keep it attached like he is actually part of the team still.

    Who cares?

  2.

That being said I don't put anything in these tests, and haven't liked them ever since they made a big deal with Vince Young a couple years ago.

Exactly. Alex Smith had a really good score, Dan Marino a really bad one...who do you want on your team?

  3. I also must give a lot of credit to Nebraska fans for being VERY smart sports fans. Evereywhere we went we ran into people who knew about Utah football and even about the fact gymnastics was in town. We got lots of questions about how next year's football team looked. We got lots of questions about how the gymnastics team was preforming. And we got no negative comments demeaning our school or it's accomplishments. We were very gratefule and impressed.

How does next year's Utah team look, by the way? I was obviously impressed with them in the bowl game, but can't seem to recall who they're losing to graduation.

  4. The Defensive Ends seem a little slow and their push wasn't exactly stellar. I'm basing this on the radio broadcast, and the few times their names were called and the few comments by the radio team.

I agree. We'll need a couple of guys to step up at D-End.

  5.

It looks like I am wrong in thinking this way. I guess I should have done years in jail for it.

If they made every single person that got a DUI do "years" in jail the already over crowded jails would be spilling into the streets.

No, there'd be far fewer people willing to get behind the wheel after drinking.

  6. YYYYEah...while we're on the topic of dissing bands that "peaked" in the mid 90's, lets throw out those lame ass bands that peaked in the 80's I.E. AcDc and Metallica, bands that suck major balls also...these bands are irrelevant as much as 311 and don't need to be a staple sound for the state or football team...you guys need to wipe that 80's blow out from under your nose and come back to reality...

First of all 311 will never be what Metallica was and still is (check new album to be released this coming year)

As far as album sales and concert attendence, Metallica as out lasted everyone except for Elvis. I hate to burst your bubble but Metallica is as strong if not stronger now as they were in the 80's. You might want to put down that 07 crack pipe and do a little research before you post.

Please enlighten us to what your fine selection would be.

Great. They sell a lot of albums, and sell out concerts. So what? Let's not confuse popular with good.

  7. I plan on going to Nebraska's bowl game this year. I believe it's down at DJ's Dugout, sometime in late December. It looks like we're playing Notre Dame or Pitt.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, listen to Unsportsmanlike Conduct this week. They're going to play a simulated game on PlayStation, record it, and play it at DJ's. They want to get a good Nebraska crowd there, as if it were an actual Nebraska game. Sounds kinda fun...not as fun as having an actual bowl game, though.

  8. Interesting...I think it will be tough for him to be successful there, as there are several more desirable schools for kids in the SEC. I bet he lasts 3 years and moves somewhere else.

I wouldnt blame him for wanting out of Atlanta.. That team is a mess and it doesnt look to get any better anytime soon so for him to come back to the college ranks even for 3 years maybe something better will come along would be a good move...

Isn't he making like $3.5-$4 million a year in Atlanta. How is it going to get better than that?

If Houston Nutt had reasonable success at Arkansas, I have to imagine Petrino could potentially do very well.

  9. Isn't it odd that TO is bringing back pretty much everyone that was let go. What does that tell you? The icing on the cake would be if Doak came back and Bailey was strength coach. I am like a little kid. Not to pile on, but I was so pissed when they were fired/let go/transferred. I knew most of those folks and felt they were good people. Damn I am glad they are back. I might even kiss my wife I am so happy. :woo

Kiss your wife? Don't get too carried away.
