  1. I could've sworn that Bobeliever's depth chart had me as the starting halfback? Maybe I imagined it.

Where's the depth chart anyway? I can't find it.

you are 'HB1' ... it was a no-brainer with your 4.3 forty speed :thumbs

Huskerballz suffered an injury during practice...a very nasty, self-inflicted "groin pull" (and if you have "ballz" in your name, you know how painful that can be)...and has been replaced for the game by hskrpwr13...

I'm sure there will be no drop off of quality.... <_<

I'm injured?? What?? There will be a drop off in quality dammit! I've been chugging 6 packs since last Saturday's practice!!

There will be, huh? Alright, drinking contest for the starting spot! :box

    3. papersun87 - 5'9.5"; 195 lbs (I played DB once. Might be too short for that now. )

    5. huskerjock - 5'11; 180 lbs Outside Linebacker in High School

  3. As far as the VT game goes, I'm surprised at the focus on NU's D versus VT's O. I think NU wins this game fairly easily, assumning NU isnt killed in ST, due to what should be a much better NU offense than VT's D. VT lost a lot on D especially in the secondary. Macho Harris coming back does help, but he alone shouldnt be enought to stop NU's passing game. Again, assuming NU's attack is as potent as it was at the end of last season. VT's O could have a slight edge on the NU D, but I see NU's O having a large advantage over VT's D.

  4. Just read on another board that Ganz was injured yesterday and is having an MRI. Not suppose to be too bad though is first indication. This may be an April fools day thing. Time will tell. There were no links to the message.

Until I hear otherwise, this wreaks of AFD nonesense.

  5. Lots of good ones. One that wasnt mentioned that I like was the one for '01, "This Is Nebraska", heading down the interstate, past HD Zoo with the Blackshirts' flag, and the Sower. The best of that year was the night time ND game.

  6. I never fully believed in him (he seemed like a strange fit from the start), but I always held out hope. It seemed that things were heading in a positive direction til the 3rd qrtr of the USC game. I'm not sure which game after USC I actually started calling for his head, but it was certainly by halftime of the OSU game.

  7. I really hope those that are letting the people who think a 9-3 prediction is a fantasy world have to eat their comments this season. I think 9-3 is every bit as reasonable as predicting 7-5.

I think you're right. Who would have thought CU would beat OU this past season? Who would have thought Stanford would beat USC? A couple of key injuries could really hurt some teams this next year. If Reesing gets hurt the first part of the season, KU won't look nearly as good in the North. They play the games because nothing is a sure win.

I'm hopeful, but I dont really know what to expect. It just seemed like those that were predicting a "good" record were gettin' the business even though theres nothing concrete to back up either prediction. I'm optimistic because I believe the D will be turned around much like Bo did it in '03. If this is to be the case, I see NU beating VT since their offense is not great and their secondary will downgrade despite Macho Harris's return. I also see KU slipping a bit due to a much tougher sched, key losses on D and loss of D coordinator. I think Mizzou is the real deal, but are they that good, or was that a magical season? I think KU was great, but I dont think they were as elite as their record last year would indicate. So while I give KU as a good win for Mizzou, it wasnt like that was a USC or LSU they were facing. The one true elite team they faced, OU, they had 2 shots at, lost both, and wasnt even compeitive in one of them. Mizzou, KU, and VT arent close to unbeatable as far as I'm concerned.

Regardless, Dominguez High will send at least five players to Division I schools this season. After Ross’ last-minute decommitment last season, Bill Callahan called to say Nebraska would no longer be recruiting Dominguez players.

It wasn’t long ago Donerson heard from Nebraska again. Pelini was on the line.

“He said, ‘Don’t worry about it, Nebraska is still going to keep recruiting Dominguez.’”

I'm glad Pelini is on the way to cleaning up the messes BC left.

Me too. One thing I hope Pelini is able to do is to continue to get his hands on good recruits in CA and top recruits in AZ. One thing Cally did do well was farm these two states. With as many Husker fans that there are in this region it would be nice to keep that pipeline flowing.

One story I heard was thst Sayers had NOT made up his mind where to go.

Jennings heard that Sayers had committed to KU and told Sayers, "I hope you enjoy it at Kansas!". Sayers said that was when he made up his mind to go to Kansas.

this would confirm the stories about jennings being an absolute tool if true.

Not to hijack the thread, but I didnt realize Jennings was that much of an ass. eesh
