  1. The K-State slaughter.

One of my favorite games to attend. I taught and coached a few K-State players in HS and they got me tickets in the family/friends section. By halftime I had a whole row of seats to myself. Loved every minute of it! Unfortunately, that was that last game in Martinez's career that he was healthy, but he looked damn good that night!

  2. We learned that a Michigan player has to go The Last Boyscout and pretty much has to shoot someone to get ejected or suspend. Nothing for Lewan last week, targeting head-to-head contact on a defenseless player on the punt return before half and not even a flag.

  3. Signed NLI with ASU is what i just heard.

You are clearly an idiot... HE SIGNED WITH NEBRASKA

Can you be banned for personal attacks on yourself? haha This was a surprise!

  4. I'd love to have ACC officials do all of our games. Watching the Oregon/KState game last night I was amazed at the difference of officiating styles between conferences. Klein was hit out of bounds a couple times, took a helmet to helmet shot plus a forearm shiver and no penalties. Even saw hits by DB's from both teams to break up passes that were consistent with the penalties we were getting called on throughout the year, but drew no flags last night.

  5. From a UGA fan and friend of mine. Richts is taking heat from their fans for allowing seniors and guys coming out early to have a curfew of 3 a.m. All others have a midnight curfew. He also said it is being reported that guys who are going into the combine/entering draft will only be playing a quarter so as to lessen their chances of injury.

Bottom line, the opinion appears from their side this game means nothing. It was a "consolation prize" that the team is now using to enjoy a deserved break.

I hope we come out and punch them in the mouth. Run it down their throat and leave them with a a$$ whoopin.

    Merry Christmas!

I think you heard it wrong, he said those guys would only "have" to play a quarter, meaning they'd be up so much after one, he could get the younger guys some PT. :sarcasm

  6. Thanks for the info guys. As for the iPad, the only thing keeping me from buying is the price. I'd hate to spend that kind of money just to see it not get used that much. Otherwise, I'd probably buy her one of those. After doing some online "window" shopping, the Samsung tablet is one I'm considering getting her http://www.bestbuy.c...1&skuId=5064393 Any positive/negative thoughts?

On the Apple store site, check out their refurbished iPads. I got my daughter the iPad 1, and my wife the iPad 2 and saved a ton of money. When they refurbish them, they put in a new battery and screen. Comes with the same warranty as new one. They offer the 2nd & 3rd generation right now

  7. You guys talking about adjustments-do you even know what it means? Can you look at a game even point out adjustments?

Those criticizing the talent level have a legitimate gripe. Those criticizing the recruiting maybe have one, but that it getting better. You have to realize, the 5th year seniors on this team were a class that was patched together when Bo first got here. What were you expecting? He's not Urban Meyer. This is not Alabama. We are not in the SE region. The normal seniors were his second class. It was a good class numbers-wize, but the talent part may have been a little low. His classes have gradually improved over the last three. Last year's class was small, but overall maybe his most talents-maybe because only time will tell.

We have to be patient. Continuity is the key here. He's not getting fired, so you might as well support him. Just like our President, like him or not, you need to support him, because if he fails, we're doomed.

That's kind of a bad analogy, but I'm just trying to make a point, that he aint goin nowhere, so it may be time to get the idea out of your head and worry about more important things.

This. It ain't the 90's (wish it were) and the landscape of college football is changed forever. The reasons we had the talent in those days aren't available anymore to us and most of it was money. We could get the talent here because we had the money and were allowed to use it. That's changed now with NCAA rules. A little harder to convince some of the kids from Compton and places like that to come here and like it or not weather and location IS a big factor. And you ain't gonna win championships with milk drinkers. It has changed. Why else are there almost weekly upsets now, and every year these are happening now. People complained years ago about equality and they got their way.

I think if one looks back they'll realize it isn't the NCAA rules as to why we don't get those type of players anymore. Rather, it was when we joined the Big 12 is when things changed. We weren't allowed to bring in the prop. 48 players any longer. This is when we seemed to see a noticeable change in talent. Everyone sees the SEC as having the best athletes. It's by no coincidence that the SEC has the lowest standards for incoming players to meet.

Is the SEC still allowed to "over-sign" their recruiting classes?

  8. I wonder what the likelihood is that he wins defensive rookie of the year? I read an article on the defensive rookie of the year candidates about a week or so ago and they had no mention of David. Seems odd... you would think he would be a contender.

If he has a couple more games this month like he's had the last 2, he should be Defensive player of the month hands down! That would get him in the race for DROTY

  9. Combine that .gif with the first pic in the OWH gallery I linked to earlier, and you can clearly see the ball was in his possession the instant he crossed the goal line. In the .gif, when the frame freezes, he has not yet been hit by Santos. In the still image on OWH, before he's hit by Santos you can clearly see he breaks the plane with the ball in one hand.

Those are still-frame shots, but I have to say that if the B1G doesn't have replay abilities that can show this stuff with this clarity in real time, then they should shelve their whole replay system and not use it.

The NFL has had problems with this in the past as well, until there are cameras mounted exactly on the goal line on both sides of the field that give a true view of the plane, there will be a margin of error due to the angle of the camera to the field. I know not all stadiums are the same, but what would it take to mount 4 cameras at the goal lines that would help in these instances? Money, blocking the view of some fans?

  10. Couldn't agree more, it's like the producers of the game have a camera on him the entire game, and every opportunity they think he'll blow a gasket, they automatically switch to the camera hoping to see a train wreck.
