  1. Roll tide....

Let the SEC gloat and boast how good they are collectively...better to have the talent in that area split up amongst everyone. People are worried about our image and the conference image....Nebraska finished the season hot. Let Texass finish flat...

    :yeah

I can never bring myself to root for the Whorns, they can go to hell.

I hope they get blown out.

  2. So, I did a quick comparison of Suh to the top 4 starters from Bama, Texas, and Florida.

    Bama Season Totals:

    98 tkl - 23.5 tfl - 9.5 sac - 20 qbh - 5 pbu - 0 int - 1 ff - 3 blk

    Texas Season Totals:

    112 tkl - 33 tfl - 14 sac - 48 qbh - 5 pbu - 0 int - 1 ff - 0 bkl

    Florida Season Totals:

    116 tkl - 25.5 tfl - 15.5 sac - 10 qbh - 7 pbu - 0 int - 2 ff - 0 blk

    Suh's Season Totals:

    82 tkl - 23 tfl - 12 sac - 24 qbh - 10 pbu - 1 int - 1 ff - 3 blk

It's hard to appreciate how dominate a player Suh has been. I tried looking for Sapp's numbers from the 94 season to compare, but I didn't have any luck. Regardless, we just saw one of the greatest performances from a defensive lineman EVER.

Nice, well done and thanks for putting the time in..

You're signature pic is awesome!! :thumbs

  3. This post doesn't change the fact that I (along with many others) hate the Longhorns.

Again, please go away and stay on your own board. Nobody gives a sh#t whether you wish us good luck or not.

    Go 'Bama!

Warning from mod: Attacking posters is against board rulz. Please do not tell people to leave the board. You do not have that authority and if you think you do; big mistake. Rawhide

  4. So Im gona piss some fans off here but

Im sick of the constant attacks on Watson,

First of all do we remember how it was our offense last year that carried us?

second do we remember how Saban (yes the coach who managed to take the Crimson tide back to the promise land in just 3 years) went directly after Watson for his offensive coordinator and offered double his salary.

third, Tom Osborne recommended to Pelini to keep only Watson and Gilmore from the Callahan coaching staff

fourth, Osborne and Pelini have both been nothing but supportive and encouraging of Watson

and fifth he can recruit (and if we do get rid of him there goes Gabbert, and maybe our hopes for Andrew Green next year)

Our two biggest problems this year were depth at the offensive line and experience and depth at the Quarterback position.

Lee would probably not have been the starter if Witt never transfered, and Green would have recieved a red shirt. Were forgetting how hard it is to start as a freshman, especially for an offense whose play book is about a half a foot thick.

People have forgotten how much depth we have lost at the QB position this year, Witt transfered, Spano was sidelined to ACL problems and that left us with a QB who only had 2 pass attempts all of last season, a QB fresh outa highschool, and LB converted to QB because we were so lacking in depth and he played the position in highschool.

Throw on top of that a battered offensive line (Burkes was a huge loss) of Callahan's last and lowly rated recruits, who give our QBs little protection, and you have a major problem.

People seem to be forgetting how our offensive line has been the root of most of our offensive failure. Helu has been battered from the process (and also probably because we over rode him), Lee (who can't make decent decisions to begin with) has no time, and our backs have no holes. We are such a one dimensional offense it ridiculous!

But Cotton is already bringing in the big boys, we have Arod coming this next year and Moore the year after that

So don't do for Watson's throat just yet, give him another year or 2 before we do anything, this year was a hard deck to play with.

If we continually suck on offense the next few years, the Il change my mind

Hey Craze, what's Watson's record as an OC in Big Xll Championship games? Oh that's right.. 0-6

Don't let the door hit him on the way out.

  5. You guys will get your chance to roll TEXAS next year and the following year. We bring it a freshmen QB and an inexperienced defense. We have no running game and I don't see that changing any time soon.

    Buzz off.

You were given a gift Saturday plain and simple, go enjoy the freebie and leave us alone.

  6. I'm new to the board but had to mention this since no one else has. Texas has 30-40 players on the field before the kick goes through the uprights. Why wasn't there an illegal participation penalty called. This should have been a 15 yard penalty making the attempt 61 yards. Go to youtube & watch the kick, pretty much as the ball is snapped, there are players & coaches on the field. By the time the ball actually goes through the uprights, there are 30-40 players/coaches on the field. This would be called at any other time during a game, it should be called at the end as well. The officials got the 1 second left correct but they clearly blew this one. Some of the players even run right past the sideline official. The Big 12 can't dispute this like they can the 1 second. Where is the outrage at this game changing non-call???? :dunno

Because it is only a foul if they enter the field and "participate" in the play. Running on to the field is not participating in the play.

  7. Limitations on Reviewable Plays

ARTICLE 6. No other plays or officiating decisions are reviewable.

However, the replay official may correct egregious errors, including those

involving the game clock Texas losing, whether or not a play is reviewable. This excludes

fouls that are not specifically reviewable (Reviewable fouls: Rules 12-3-2-c

    and d, 12-3-4-b and 12-3-5-a).

I gotta say I love that graphic...but as to replays, as a Texas fan, I have no idea how they figured where to spot the ball on the first series (after you guys intercepted our pass) on the 4th down play. I mean it might have been right as it did appear that the runner was on top of a longhorn but how the heck did they determine where he really was? As I saw that I wondered if there has to be conclusive evidence of the need for the respot AND where the actual spot is. I have a real problem with this type of replay reversal as well as those when they are trying to determine if the ball broke the goal line. Most of the time they do not have an angle that I would say provides conclusive evidence to change the ruling but it almost seems like more and more they are making these judgements on review.......as I said in a thread I started, good hard game and you guys have an awesome defense. I am not sure we deserved to win but thats how it goes sometimes....you can get some payback next October 16...

Go away, nobody wants your sympathy.

Your pathetic team was given the game, we'll see you f'ers next year.

  8. As much as I hate to say it, sometimes the truth hurts.

We don't have a chance in hell at beating the Sooners.

If anything we're going to have our hands full just tying to keep it from being an absolute blowout. I don't think we'll get much more than 3 - 6 points.

  9. for all the women jumping ship this week. and dont give me the "its reality" bit either. yes we have looked bad lately. but unless you just started watching college football you should know that things can change very quickly..... esp in this conference.

stop crying like little girls a grow a pair

Guess I need a dress (preferably Pink), because I think we are going to get our asses kicked on Saturday.

  10. I don't know why the majority of huskers fans are writing this game off as an automatic loss. The game is in Lincoln, Bradford is not playing, and we have an outstanding defense. I know our offense has struggled mightily this year but who knows with a few breaks we could easily score enough points to win this game. I know it will be an uphill battle to beat Oklahoma but come on guys have a little faith dang.

Saying "our offense has struggled" is putting it kindly. More like "we have no offense" or "our offense does not exist", that would be a more appropriate way to describe what is occurring.

I don't think we have a snowball's chance in hell at beating OU; in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we were held scoreless.

    I'm expecting something like 24 - 3 or 28 - 0. :bang

  11. 2. Nebraska O-line Vs. Mizzo D-line

NU has trouble with Mizzou defensive ends (big time speed)

That would be the vaunted Defensive Ends that did such an amazing job stopping Bowling Green and Nevada, right?

    You sir are a fool.

  12. Tim Griffin asked about the frustration of playing so well on D only to lose it. Pelini said they have to finish the game. Then he asked if that will help in conference play and he said in effect, yes.

Then Sam Mckewon asked if they shoudl have challenged Holts drop when he went out of the endzone. Pelini said he didn't have a good view and people told him that Holt was clearly bobbling the ball so he didn't challenge.

The replay on tv didn't show Holt bobbling the ball. He had control of the ball until he hit the ground THEN it bobbled.

Please keep the updates coming for those of us who can't listen in.

    Thanks!
