  1. I was thinking of coaches who either do not enjoy the pressure of game day, those who have not done well with in game adjustments, or those who have aged and don't want to recruit anymore. It would be nice to have some great football minds looking for weaknesses to exploit while the rest of the coaches work with players and recruit. IMO this is a perfect job for Shawn Watson. He always seemed to have a solid game plan, but he was lost when the opposing staff made adjustments.

I am not so sure Langsdorf is the one that needs help like this. But you know you kind of described Bo maybe he would do this for our Db's lol

  2. I am very excited about the two QBs Riley and staff brought in!! They both seem to fit the system Riley has described, much like Bo got in his QBs. The biggest difference is Riley and Langsdorf have A very good tract record in developing Qbs, and Bo and Beck proved horribly that they cannot. I am still very excited to see what this staff will do for Armstrong and company.

  3. I would say his skill set is an awful lot like Darlington IMO. Which is great IMO passing QB that can run and is very athletic. The other two Qb's that we were looking at were bigger and more of a drop back passer than wilson, but I thought they both passed better than Wilson as far as looks, placement, and comfort, but neither of them were as athletic as Wilson which in the B1G is important I think. Not saying I want a running Qb just saying there are a lot of very good D's and the more options you have the better.

  4. Yes he is right with this article. I was one that thought the whole Pelini craziness behind the the scenes were overblown and would never believe it why? Because this is The University of NEBRASKA no way would that sh#t fly here....Boy was I wrong and feel kinda dumb off not seeing through it sooner. I really do feel bad for the crap that the players went through especially the ones that called out the craziness. Why did Moore transfer was it because he was a baby and needed to be closer to dad and his girl or was it more because he couldn't stand the BS that the staff did and obviously dad thought so too. Or how about the playful video when Pelini smashed a cell phone and got into a fake fight in The hallway, no one was really shocked by it in the crowd, why? Because it was something that probably wasn't to far off of what could have happened under his watch. I am glad this article was written and by who it was. Something obviously happened between those two more then we will ever know.

  5. If Taylor didn't get hurt last year he would have gotten a lot of carries. Having said that it will be Newby, Taylor, Wilbon, cross/the rest. The only thing going for Cross is it is said that Mike Riley likes his backs going north and south more than east and west like the previous staff (thank God). Oh and DPE is going to have a really big year can't wait.

  6. I was not expecting that out of Darlington. He made the Other QB's look silly. But, there is the whhole off season to work on fundamentals etc. and I think we will see a different Armstrong. If we dont he will be replaced, but I dont think there is anyway he doessnt start other than injury.

  7. I have absolutely no problem with Harriman's comments and I'm baffled by people who do.

So...he is pointing out that a player what didn't shine as a Freshman stayed at the same school...worked hard...prospered and is now the POY. What is wrong with that? Basketball is becoming a game of players constantly changing schools and in reality, that hurts both the school and the player because they never can actually develop any type of continuity.

And, as for the comment about us changing jobs. I have no problem with someone changing jobs just like I don't have a problem with certain players feeling like a transfer is best. However, I know people who are constantly changing jobs and constantly thinking the grass is greener somewhere else. There is a big difference. Those people tend to never realize their potential at any one place because they are constantly starting over.

    This is spot on!!

  8. So maybe Tommy is hurt because he is going to transfer and they just don't want him to go through all of the bs before he does.(jk). I think the thought the the staff is pretty sure that tommy is going be the guy, but are preparing for something that very likely could happen is the one I'm going with.

  9. I am pretty sure most people in the sports world knew all about Pelini's charector issues before the audio came out. For me it just made me feel stupid for sticking up for him. Big difference between having someone's back and the insanity he drove into the players heads. There may be some problems within the admin, but what he did was way worse than just wrong.

  10. I think if there is a place in the workforce where it would be OK to use cannabis it would be in pro or even college athletics, just for the simple fact of how it helps with inflammation, pain, breathing problems, Arthritis etc. Etc. I mean if it were legal in every state.

But, I thought some views from a morning ESPN talk show were pretty spot on. So it is not so much that he has smoked pot that's the problem, but the fact that he knew he had this test coming up and he didn't have enough self control to not use it. It says addiction not just using on occasion. I mean it doesn't matter if he used everyday. Hell I used to have a beer almost everyday after work but was not an alcoholic. Now if I knew I had a piss test and drank that beer anyway then yes it would be very likely that I am addicted. Same here with him he knew and he had to have it anyway. Has he ever said if he used for pain or socially? Just curious I guess.

  11.

It definitely is refreshing listening to the new staff compared to the old staff. They seem genuine and honest and not rehearsed like the pelini gang. I know its got to be tough on the players adjusting but I wonder what is going through the minds of these coaches seeing firsthand how f'd up this program had become. All this talent and they don't even know that they are talented.

Yet another thing to file away under "what you hear from everyone every time there is a new coaching change"

So basically you are saying that the program isn't f'd up? Or do you mean that you wait until something you don't like happens and shoves it in others faces without really saying what you think of the situation because you know you wouldn't want to be wrong. I have said numerous times that I really don't know yet if MR and staff will get it done here, but it is still refreshing having coaches that will actually talk to the media without looking like he would rather beat you to death than answer your question. Or is it that you don't think we have talent and this program is a lost cause?
