Some guy who supposedly was an investigative sports reporter was interviewed. He claimed that he had spoken to big time UNL boosters who were backing Glenn Mason for the HC job at UNL. He said any AD is influenced by boosters. Mason is not a good choice, in my view. Not sure why someone would be pushing for him?

I get your point, but if these exchange students were from anywhere where the other football (soccer) is big, then they will think that whatever goes on at CU is pretty lame and tame compared to what goes on at soccer stadiums in many parts of the world.
