I can't believe we convinced him to walk on. That usually only works with Nebraska kids.

What's the story here? Did we tell him we no longer have space or did he change his mind?

It's easy. Texas beat Alabama. Texas is in. Alabama isn't.
And there it is

Florida State got straight up fuc$ed. Imagine being a Power 5 school, going undefeated, winning your CCG, and still being denied a spot in the playoffs. Mind blowing!

I literally just too Sanders off my board as I was marking Brix as committed.
But Fong thinks otherwise.

What a huge get! I thought we were on the outside looking in. I guess the coaching staff must have done a great sell job!

Well ... 15 more practices could only get us one more win this year. Because there's only one game left.
But as a springboard for next year, I'd absolutely love to get our 35 freshmen another 15 practices. Especially Coleman and Lloyd (plus Doss and Bell for that matter). That would double what we get during spring.
I meant more practices during the season. And you don't know who is practicing with the 1st stringers. An influx of talent is what will make the difference next season; we all know this.

Not like it matters at this point, but I don't think the problem this season was effort or "being hungry". I do think extra practice and learning to execute would have helped. But again, it doesn't matter and hopefully they figure it out in spring ball.
You really think a few extra practices would have translated into 1-2 more wins?
-
Maybe I am an outlier, but I would rather Nebraska stay home and reflect on our poor season, rather than back into the Bahamas Bowl or Hawaiian Bowl. It will make the boys that much hungrier next season.

In all seriousness, if there's anyone that doesn't want to pony up the fee for Peacock just for this one game, PM me. I have a way for you to see it for free.

Watch party at my house in the burbs south of Denver! We're old and still have Xfinity, so we've also got the Peacock.
Do you mind if I drive up from the Bay Area to watch it with you so I don't have to pay the streaming fee?

And now Deion wants the ncaa or rose bowl to reimburse those players for their bling. Good luck with that.
Deion Sanders is such a tool. Imagine, asking the NCAA to reimburse the players because they were too stupid to properly lock up their valuables.

CU winning 8-9 games per season would be a win in my book. What will be funny is paying him all that money and him bolting in 3-4 years and never getting beyond 6 or 7 wins.
I don't think it would be a win for most sCUm fans.

It's going to be so funny if, after several seasons, Colorado haven't gone to the CFP or even won the Big 12. Imagine paying Deion all of that money and getting him on tv practically every week, shooting commercials and giving interviews, only to win 8-9 games a season.

This...this seems excessive.
It is, until he beats up a woman, or God forbid, something worse. Then it's always the same story. The normal suspects will come in this thread and say things like "Well, at least we gave him a chance." Or, "Could not have seen that coming."
I wonder if you would feel differently if the woman he beat up and broke her teeth were your sister or cousin.

Taking chances on guys like this makes me extremely nervous, given his violent background. I sure hope if he does come here, there is someone assigned from the university following him around the clock; something like the buddy system. Going to class, after practice, on the weekend...you catch my drift. I would be especially concerned about the female students. He can't be just left by himself.

So if Grant gets hurt, we would be playing guys who have never seen the field?

@Enhance Man, you should just close this thread. We all see how this will turn out; just a complete s**tfest. Opinions won't be changed no matter what happens.

We never hire elite assistants. We never think about Adidas costing us elite talent. We never hire a Black head coach. We never have an elite throwing QB, always with a “dual threat” leftovers. We never maximize our spending and resources to get the Dylan Raiola type QB. Nebraska really has turned into the flyover state for big time recruits. Deion was the perfect hire for a quick turn around and we didn’t even try. Nebraska will never be good again because of Nebraskans. We are probably getting Trumped as far as NIL goes, saying we have the money when we don’t.
Interesting premise, but you lost all credibility when you brought race and Donald Trump into the conversation. There are many black head coaches who, when given their opportunity, did an average job. I'm thinking specifically of Willie Taggert, Turner Gill and Kevin Sumlin. Hiring a black coach isn't some guaranteed path to a winning record and championships. Race should never be a factor when deciding who to hire; who gives us the best chance at winning should.
As far as Donald Trump goes, I have no idea what he has to do with college football and the Husker football program. It seems like you have a racial/political agenda.
As far as Adidas, their designs suck; boring and uninspiring. Nike and Jordan have far superior designs and creative teams. But I will say this: Adidas make great soccer cleats.
