  1. Uhhh, he only had 5 incompletions total. How do you figure "at least six passes where he had a man wide open, but either overthrew it or underthrew it?"
  2. Glennon started the first two games last year (ECU and LSU). Taylor was planned for a redshirt year as a true frosh who just turned 18 a couple weeks earlier. He was pressed into duty at LSU in the 2nd qtr. He showed a spark or two during the rest of the game and proceeded to start (and get almost all of the snaps) for the next 5 games til he got hurt. He returned after missing a couple of games and shared snaps with Glennon the rest of the year. Glennon started all of these games and got about 3/4 of the snaps while playing quite well. Both QBs faltered in the Orange Bowl. While Glennon is probably better in the passing game, Taylor is good with his throws and very accurate on deep balls. Glennon's advantage in the passing game is due to his better understanding of the offense and ability to read defenses. Not surprising since he's a R-Senior. Taylor has much better natural talent throwing the ball. Running ability is not even a comparison between the two. Taylor is a playmaker! We'll see how he has developed since last year. BTW, my tickets for this game arrived today. I'll be making the trip to Lincoln (from Virginia) with my wife and another couple. We're arriving Thursday and staying til Monday. Will be staying at the Husker Marriott. Can't wait to soak up all the Nebraska tradition. Of course, I'm hoping for a little vengeance for the beating my Hokies took from Big Red in the 1996 season Orange Bowl. I'm sure it will be a great trip no matter the outcome.
  3. All the replies have been great. I'm going to try to book the hotel tonight. We tripped to LSU this past year and had a blast (other than that minor unpleasantness in Death Valley). We're really looking forward to our visit. I've always felt that Nebraska was one of the true PREMIER programs in the country. I'l be back when the season approaches to talk some football and probably checking back every once in a while before then. Thanks
  4. Greetings Huskers, I will make the trip from Virginia next season along with my wife and four friends. We wouldn't miss this for the world. Last time we played the Huskers it was your National Championship era. Great game in the Orange Bowl following the 1996 season through 3 quarters until your depth and our lack of it caught up with us. We'll be staying for 2 or 3 nights in Lincoln and want to see and do it all...campus, gameday traditions, local attractions and watering holes . How about some help with these things, especially lodging. What are some of the convenient, nice hotels in the area? I figure that we need to jump on this now. The rest of the the plan can wait til later. I hope that your program gets squared away with Bo Pelini. He should probably have a solid framework of a gameplan against the Hokies already in place after the thrashing we took in Baton Rouge last season. Good luck to you. Thanks for any responses.
