  1. That what I was thinking, there were many times when it would have been "acceptable" in the spectator's eyes for Tayor to pull the ball and run. But, he moved in the pocket and "waited" for receivers to get open.

Again, I'm not saying Martinez should have ran, I just found it odd that he didn't. I'm very curious to where this offense is going to be in November.

I think he also may have deliberately been avoiding running for this game, unless it was a certain situation. If you're shredding Southern Miss through the air, there is no reason to pull it down and risk injury. I'm sure we'll see the wheels when he plays a better defense and is in a more competitive environment...

  2. I don't know guys, I really wasn't all that impressed with Michigan State. Also, Michigan did play the best defense in the nation, I think they'll end up being a lot better than they showed on Saturday...

    Here we go:

    1. Ohio State

    2. Michigan

    3. Nebraska

    4. Michigan State

    5. Wisconsin

    6. Northwestern

    7. Purdue

I'm not even going to try and rank the rest, because I have no idea...

  3. Find it pretty hilarious that people frequently blame the WR's. A good majority of receievers would tell you it's pretty hard not to drop a ball when it rarely hits you in the numbers or if it's thrown slightly too early. Not to say they didn't have drops, which they did, but Martinez played a huge part in that as well. You missed the biggest possible reason for the increase in percentage: improved footwork, which improves timing, and also improves mechanics. So better mechanics and better timing more than anything will increase his completion percentage.

I find it pretty hilarious that you think a ball has to hit a receiver in the chest for him to catch it. The rule has always been "If you get two hands on it, there is no excuse for dropping it". Do you think that every pass hits Calvin Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald in the numbers? Those guys still make the catch, don't they? Both parties are equally responsible. You can't demand near perfection from a quarterback, and then justify receiver mediocrity on the same hand...

But I do agree that any increase in his comp % won't be because of a lack of drops. More than anything, I'd say that being in Beck's system for another year will be the difference.

I don't know, I've never regarded comp % as that meaningful of a stat...Nick Foles completed 70% last year at Arizona, and look how well his team did. I'd rather see Nebraska utilize more mid/range downfield throws and have a lower percentage than incessantly throw dump offs and have a good percentage.

Taylors throwing motion has really regressed as you can see from this still photo, his mechanics are all out of wack. Some may argue that he is going to run or is "catching the ball" but he is really trying to throw it. He took his advice to not dip his back shoulder a little to far and now is dipping his front shoulder to much. 8-5 if were lucky.

He may be faking here, and then throwing afterwards, but I have a hard time believing this is his actual motion...I don't doubt what you say about him regressing, but there is no way in heck this is a throw...

  5. There are two teams in every game, so you can't just look at one side of the puzzle. This is why I feel better about the Michigan game. Brady Hoke's teams struggle on the road and Dennard sucks on the road too.

Blanket statements like this confuse me. Hoke's teams struggle on the road? He's had ONE TEAM!

Have you considered that Hoke has had other teams outside of Michigan?

  6. *Minor Spoilers, I guess? I'll throw that in there just to be safe.

It's 4 30 in the morning, I have to go to work in an hour, and all I want to do is punch someone because I'm so jacked from seeing this movie. My only complaint is that it was (at times) difficult to understand some of the characters, and also the times on the bomb were not really cohesive with the action that was going on.

  7. People are respecting UCLA (not scared of, respecting) because of:

    2010 Alamo Bowl

    2011 Fresno State

    2011 Northwestern

Three games against inferior opponents that we should have had no trouble with, which instead turned out to be embarrassing losses or a close victory.

If this team was routinely putting away the Washingtons of the world rather than taking two out of three, there wouldn't be any concern about UCLA. Instead, we're left with the real possibility of the Huskers laying an egg.

I'm not saying that we don't or shouldn't respect UCLA, because realistically they will be a pretty decent team, but a lot of people are talking like these guy's are a juggernaut, and that we have very little to no chance of beating them. I understand that no game is a guarantee, but the pessimism being spewed about because of a low-end Pac-12 team is a little unsettling. Do we really have this little confidence?

  8. Bucky just because your deckinblack too doesn't mean you have to double quote yourself with no reply...

But seriously those rating are just messed up. How could we be ranked within two points of two teams that we had our with with last year in Mich St and Iowa when they don't really bring anything back this year any more than we do.

This is what I said earlier it got lost in Buckys text I have no idea how to get to the bottom to type with my phone. So anyways here is what I said:

Those better be fake. How is Utah (95 Overall) better then Nebraska (91 Overall)? Iowa a 91(OVERATED)? Michigan a 97(OVERATED)? ND a 97 (OVERATED!)? Texas a 99(OVERATED)? Wisc a 99(OVERATED)? I bet these are fake. If they aren't no way im buying this.

I just saw that EA referenced these same ratings with their official Twitter account for the game, so it would appear that they're legit.

  9. And now Lebron gets the MVP award....

2 guys were more deserving of it: Kobe and Durant. Both had similar numbers and they actually know how to close out games. I have never understood the hype around Lebron when he continues to prove over and over that he is not worthy of it.

People bash Lebron constantly for not being able to close out games, but other guys fail to do it and no one says a word. Just last night we saw Durant hit ZERO FIELD GOALS in the 4th quarter, and no one is saying that he fails to close them out. The bias that people throw on Lebron is getting a little ridiculous.

  10. This is why I don't watch ESPN. Not only do I have to sit and listen to people who know less about the program than I do, but I get to come on here and see everybody rage about it.

If you guys start ignoring ESPN, you'll be much happier football fans. I guarantee it.

Scott Van Pelt is the only reasonable, intelligent guy at ESPN. The rest of those guys are idiots...

  11. looks like they stamped a 13' on the 12' game...pretty pathetic if you ask me, hell id rather player ncaa '5-8' rather than any of the other ones, these new ones feel like a video game and almost getting farther away from reality. im a huge fifa player. i never bought 2012 but i play it with my friends a lot. The 2012 gameplay is so much more realistic than 2011 and its refreshing that they are making progress on fifa. although i still enjoy 2011 better because im a lot better at it. I traded in my ncaa 2012 a few weeks after i bought it, and i dont think ill purchase ncaa 2013. only fifa 13

They peaked after the Reggie Bush one, whatever year that was. I played that game non-stop....

  12. While I for one don't understand why they couldn't have it next week...I do understand that the extenuating circumstances that have led to the game being cancelled and not being rescheduled period are way beyond my realm of knowledge.

Maybe you should wait until you know more of the facts before you open up you mouth NUandOU.

I'm sure they have already set up plans for next week, moving the game to then would only mess up the extended schedule.

  13. tschu thought there wasn't enough zombies.

Honestly, it was a fantastic end to a fantastic season.

And the shows you listed earlier tschu, they aren't anything to gush over either.

I agree. The only ones worth watching are Mad Men and Breaking Bad...coincidentally both done by AMC...

You can really start to see Rick's transition now. I thought that was the best episode they've had yet, aside from maybe this season's premiere

  14. This season has rocked. They're killing everybody off. Bravo Walking Dead, well done.

Question for those that have been watching...so are the rules different now? Does everyone turn into a zombie after they die? Bitten or not?

Your first thirty posts in this forum have complained about this season, now you show up and say it's rocked? Fairweather, much?

Ever since the "Nebraska" episode, I've felt like they've really got there stuff together, and this next episode looks pretty freaking legit
