I don't know if a lot of people realize this, but it's NEBRASKA BASKETBALL. As much as I love them, they traditionally aren't very good. I'll take a team that finishes .500 and competes late into Feb. for a tournament bid, as long as he builds on it. If he doesn't produce anything better next year, then it might be ok to gripe about Sadler, but for now, I'm ok with the extension

You're dang right it was good. It got a little cheesy at times, and their wasn't much of a storyline, but hey, that wasn't their goal. The special effects were legit, and the main character was a beast. Well worth the ten bucks

My favorite quote out of that interview " We can't just run a play, we have to execute our offense"
-
I'm suprised...that was a fairly accurate assesment. I wouldn't have guessed from the title.

Not any scratches that I can see...i did some research on it, and it sounds like there was a glitch in the update that came earlier this week for some people. I re-installed it and everything appears to be fine. I'm glad, because I really thought the X-Box was done. Can you say mini-heart attack?

Ok, I get on to play Black Ops this afternoon, and something was seriously wrong. My gun was completely whited out, and all the surfaces in the game were shiny and metallic looking. The map looked like it was unfinished in general, and it was extremely hard to see. I tried my other games and they were fine. I know hardly anything about game technology, but it seems to me like its a problem with the specific game, not the console. Can anyone who knows a little more about this help me out?

It depends on the distance...Martinez is a 4.6 guy, he just has absolutely incredible acceleration. I'd say Robinson in a 40, Martinez in a 20

This has been trending on Twitter for nearly three days now, so I finally checked it out...that was a mistake. It scared the crap out of me...Anyways, it's been generating a lot of buzz and controversy, both for its quality (IGN people were freaking out that is was the "best trailer ever") and for its use of children.
Thoughts?

I was killing some time this afternoon watching youtube videos, and happened to stumble on some TMAGIC highlights. Needless to say, I'm jacked.
But seriously...to think he doesn't have the upperhand to start no matter what system we run...a year of experience goes a long way
Didn't we think the same thing, about the same time last year, about Mr. Lee?
Lee did have the upperhand to start, but his injuries slowed him down. All I'm saying is that it will be very tough for one of the young guns to unseat him, no matter how talented they are

Maybe this will scare EA Sports into making a better game...this last one was absolutely horrible!
Not likely, but one can hope, right?

Spano confirmed a team meeting today on Twitter
-
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting pretty jacked up about rise against and lupe fiasco's new cds. Theyre sounding pretty legit
-
Martinez is the best, but I voted for Spano just to shake things up

anyone ever wondered if niles could have played running back?
At 6'7"? Really?
6'1"
I think you completely missed his sarcasm...one of the articles had him listed at 6'7

Yep, its gonna be hard to get any decent wrs here if we don't show we will and can use them with better consistency. We really need a balanced offense. I've said many times I want a pro style running attack balanced with the passing game with plenty of play action. Fingers crossed.
We had a pro style attack, and everyone complained about it. If Oregon can get WR's, we can. They run the ball a lot more than we do
-
I just read his ESPN profile, he sounds very similar to Kunalic....giant leg, struggles with accuracy. He can punt too
-
Oregon's issue wasn't the offense, it was the fact that their QB threw two INT's on Auburns side of the field. Thats 14 points right there (assuming they score td's). That gives you a score in the 30's. They also got stuffed from the 2 yard line, its not like it was completely ineffective. They were moving the ball fine

Crazier things have happened than him making it in the NFL. Matt Cassell made it, and he didn't start in college either. I don't think it happens, but i bet he gets invited to a training camp

How is Chevelle not on a top 50 riffs list?
And for the record, i like muse, but they could have picked a way better song than that one

....but i have read on this board and others that some fans are predicting that taylor martinez is the future of NU football for the next couple of years. in my opinion, i just dont see it. if anyone listens to colin cowherd, its called the "eyeball" test. at first, when no teams knew about him, he was unstoppable. then, teams got film on him. then, brick wall. i will just say this. he cannot juke anyone, he cannot run anyone over, he goes down on first contact, he is terrible in the pocket, he zeros in on the number one reciever and if he isnt open he panics and makes terrible descions. the point i am trying to make is that he is not a QB. he is just an athlete playing QB that happens to be a fast sprinter. the one factor that he lacks very much is a leader. a player cannot learn this, cannot be taught this, and if a player does not have this at the QB position, that team is in trouble. NU may be in trouble if one of the new guys dont earn the starting role at QB this coming season. just my opinion. anyone agree or disagree?
Can you name a lot of QB's that have these jukes and running power that you're talking about? Aside from Vick, I don't know of a lot of QB's that have running back moves

Considering Hoke has stated that Michigan is gonna employ a "pro style offense with spread concepts" I don't think Robinson is gonna be to succesful
-
Wow, he is nothing like Rex...if I were to compare him to someone it would be Leon Washington when he was with the Jets. People do the same thing by comparing a good white WR to Wes Welker even when they are nothing alike.
Ron Brown: I want to find a role for Collins Okafor

I want a million dollars too, but it's not going to happen...I'll believe it when I see it.
Prove something, Collins!
